Paul Davis Restoration of Central Virginia

I recently worked with Paul Davis for repairs to my basement after flooding. Jonathen was our project manager. He made the entire process very simple. He was always available for questions, and the work was done quickly with no issues. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I recently had the opportunity to use Paul Davis Restoration to restore some damage to my house. They were very professional, efficient and pleasant to work with. They communicated effectively and efficiently through out every phase of the project as it was handed off to the person along the way from the project specialist coming out to survey and take pictures, to the estimator, the project manager, the actual team doing the repairs on site, and finally the project manager follow-up on completion of the repairs. It was a very satisfying experience.

Paul Davis swooped in & saved the day when we had major water damage in our condo. They took care of the clean up & reconstruction efficiently and expertly. If you're lucky enough to have Jonathen Weeks in charge of the contract, consider yourself the luckiest! He went out of his way to help us and understood that time was of the utmost importance for our project & he stayed on top of it all. We’d recommend Paul Davis to anyone who needs any type of restoration done.

If Paul Davis Restoration is giving you an estimate for an insurance claim (hired by the insurance company), go ahead and get a second contractor ready to counter their nonsense. They don't mind leaving you holding the bag so they can get their money from the insurance company. I know nothing of their work quality, but if it's anything like their estimating, one star is too many. I don't write reviews typically, but had to warn people.

Aaron was the lead man for Paul Davis Restoration. He kept us well informed and always let us know where we stood with our claim. His work was timely, excellent and beyond reproach. I would thoroughly recommend Paul Davis and his team again...as they have instilled in their team a superior work ethic. Thank you very much.

Highly recommend Paul Davis Restoration for your remodeling projects. Known for restoration services, but equally capable in the remodeling arena. Our project manager Jonathen was exceptional and always available to answer questions or provide needed materials at the last minute. We are very pleased with the new roof and wall sheathing, new siding and new trim boards.

When my original contractor working the whole-home restoration of my circa 1885 farmhouse in Stanardsville, VA unexpectedly walked-off the job, Jon Duman and his folks at Paul Davis Restoration LITERALLY came to the rescue.

Jon's work ethic, professionalism -- as well as the commitment to, and reasonableness of his estimate to complete a very significant amount of work on an older home with structural issues -- was nothing short of heroic. I cannot thank him and the entire team at Paul Davis Central Virginia enough!

Work included complete drywalling of over 2500 square feet, floor & stairs sanding & restoration/finishing, bathroom installation, kitchen installation, re-construction of c. 1885 hand-carved woof door transoms -- including all tiling, herringbone brick floor tile installation, and more...

Never going over estimate, this project would have been absolutely impossible absent the integrity and work ethic of this crew -- the fantastic quality and workmanship was way above expectation -- I could not have imagined finer work being done. Everyone was personable, affable, and professional in my VERY direct engagement with Jon's team.

I cannot recommend these folks enough -- I truly found the value for money, the work ethic, the professionalism, the timeliness, and the very pleasant engagement with Jon and his entire team truly unprecedented (to say the least).

I plan on re-using them for some significant work on my 100 year-old fieldstone home I own nearby to this one, in which I plan to retire.

We found water backup in our basement on a Sunday morning. I called the national number for Paul Davis, and Whit Robertson called me back promptly. He and a team member came out that morning, identified the source of the problem, and started the cleanup process. After a plumber unclogged the sewer line Sunday evening, Whit's team came back on Monday to finish the clean up. We really appreciate the prompt response on a Sunday morning, and their reasonable fee was a pleasant surprise. If we're unfortunate enough to need water mitigation services in the future, I will definitely call Paul Davis Restoration of Central Virginia.

We had a tree hit the house and caused roof damage and siding damage. Called USAA, and they assigned PDR to the job. Everyone with PDR was professional and courteous. We had the entire roof reshingled, and all the siding was replaced on one side of the house. It took them 1 day to complete the job. We are extremely happy with PDR.

I recently worked with Paul Davis Restoration on a roof replacement for my home. I would highly recommend this company. I have received numerous compliments on just the appearance of the job but that doesn't even touch how helpful their team members have been. Dealing with insurance companies and requirements can be stressful and time consuming and they took the majority of that on. This is a great company with wonderful people that are helpful.

All Paul Davis rep’s were on time and stayed on schedule. We experienced damage to our home due to water damage. The entire 1st floor had to be replaced and/or sanded and stained. The Project Manager (Jason) was on point. He scheduled the removal and storage of my furniture, flooring guys, drywall/painting and provided timelines that were met. He had our home put back together with no delays, unforeseen circumstances or added funds. The entire experience was very pleasant. The quality of the work was better than expected and we are extremely happy with the outcome. As is with any project there were minor corrections needed at punch out walkthrough. These were so minor that most were corrected on the spot and I gotta tell you that it was the Project Manager (Jason) himself that pointed the majority of them out. I would definitely recommend Paul Davis Restoration.

We had a burst pipe causing water damage and they were quick to respond and mitigate the issue to insure mold wouldn’t be an problem.

When our insurance denied the claim, Whit Robertson worked with them to provide an expert opinion that provided evidence that it should be covered and was instrumental in having that decision reversed by the insurance company, thus, saving us thousands of dollars. Thank you Whit.

Want to give a shout out to Camilo and his team of restoration professionals. They did a fantastic job getting our bathroom restored and looking great. They were very responsive to our concerns - answering all our questions and resolving any issue we had with the final product.

Other than a minor bookkeeping snafu on their end concerning one of my payments, which after emailing a copy of the check to them settled the situation, they closed the invoice on my account. They are a good company to work with and take pride in customer service and satisfaction. The staff from start to finish are friendly, professional, and courteous and take the time to address any concerns you may have. speaking with a staff member is like speaking with your friendly next door neighbor. I would definitely recommend them.

Their water mitigation team was extremely professional and easy to work with. The communication between the team lead and myself to arrange remediation services was exceptional. Working with this middle-man franchise company was a nightmare. I think they have no technical persons or at least persons with repair experience, just "project managers" - a kind of business people who fill out forms to insurance and hire some handymen to perform the repair work. Then, when they figure out they forgot to add some repairs in their repair estimation, they are asking you to cover the work cost to complete the work faster. Therefore, the communication is poor and work is very expensive. In many cases you do not need them. Just be calm and wait to get the estimation funds from your insurance company, hire your professionals to do the job, and you will get quality repairs in time. Sorry for your losses and good luck!

Working with Paul Davis was exceptional! Never having filed a insurance claim before, I had numerous questions regarding the process. These questions and concerns were answered quickly and in a way that provided a complete understanding of what and how the process worked. The new roof is beautiful! They did an excellent job putting up the shingles - it really looks nice. My neighbor has a fairly new roof, and he wants one like mine! The inside where the water damaged the ceiling looks like there was never any damage done now that Paul Davis's contractors repaired the ceiling and painted it. The paint job is perfect - there's no paint drippings anywhere or any paint out of the lines. They put plastic up to protect everything in the room (furniture, etc.). I could not be more pleased. Paul Davis's representatives and their contractors were all very nice, helpful, and professional!

We are using Paul Davis for water damage that happened in our home weeks ago. I want to be super clear that the water mitigation efforts were awesome, above board, guys were fast and professional and did a great job. We’ve run into an issue with restoration. Paul Davis subcontracts their team members out, and while our contact at Paul Davis is awesome, the teams did not seem to be organized. We frequently didn’t have any idea when they would be showing up on a given day, which is a pretty decent issue when my wife and I both work from home. In addition to not knowing if they be showing up anywhere from 8 AM to 2 PM they agreed to hold some of the floor for us which they tore up because it was damaged. The gentleman who tore it up showed me the pieces they saved for us and said that we could hold onto them but that didn’t get communicated to the rest of the team, and they threw out pieces, so we had to go buy some new flooring from Lowe’s, because we were holding onto that to patch another problem in our home. Also, they had a manning shortage, which is understandable, but it pushed the work off two days, with no one telling us if somebody would arrive until we reached out. Overall, I would say the company is great, but I would definitely recommend using them for mitigation and go somewhere else for restoration.

My condo was flooded around Christmas and Paul Davis was quick and professional with the remediation. Between the extent of the damage and dealing with all the red tape, the process was frustrating at times, but the Paul Davis team made my condo much better than what I had before. An incredible team that was extremely compassionate to a very difficult situation. So very impressed with their experience and how thorough they were. They explained everything step by step and I felt a sense of relief that I would be in good hands with them! I'm hoping to use this company in the near future in getting a house ready for sale.

Had a basement flood that PDR responded to within no time. Solved the issue, went above and beyond, very clearly knew exactly what they were doing, and did so all in a professional timely way, and with much better pricing than I was expecting given the urgency. I did not feel taken advantage of or pushed to spend more than needed. Will use them again for sure.

The work was done quick and efficiently. The payment process was simple and easy to complete. Only concern I had was the workers used my bathroom. I am not sure how I feel about that but I understand they didn't have another choice.

Virginia Tree Service was subcontracted by Paul Davis Restoration to remove a large maple tree that fell onto our shed. It was a huge tree and they got it removed, cleaned up all debris, and covered the damaged roof with a tarp in about 3 hours. They all were smiling while carrying huge pieces of the trunk to their truck. Very nice guys and extremely hard workers!!

We had an exceptional experience working with Paul Davis Restoration. They came to us through our insurer to repair interior water damage caused by a storm. They handled the work quickly and efficiently and left our home as clean as it was before they arrived, despite having cut a large hole in the kitchen ceiling and replaced a fan and ductwork through to the roof. Apart from the new fan cover and the fresh coat of paint, the ceiling where they performed the work was seamless. We highly recommend Paul Davis Restoration, and would happily use them again.

I was at sixes and nines but Paul Davis just took over and managed the job. You are assigned a project manager and that person coordinates all the contractors that need to do the repair work. The contractors were kind to me and professional. The contractors took pride in their work and made my home back to normal. They were always on time as well. I had a water leak from a bad pipe that went into my hallway and underneath my floorboards and also effected part of the living room. Paul Davis was prompt and came the same day after my plumber fixed the problem. The damage was caught in time so it did not cause anymore damage. Paul Davis took up the old flooring, cleaned it and left fans and a dehumidifier to dry it out and checked periodically throughout the week. They also checked below in the crawl space for any water damage. They were pleasant to work with and staff was polite and efficient.
