JD and his crew did an amazing job installing our new roof in one day. Removed the old shingles, swamp cooler, and placed ply wood to fill in the holes as needed. They worked meticulously, and were very friendly. JD is personable and professional, answered all sorts of questions, and took drone footage of the finished product. They took extra care to make the roof look beautiful by trimming the edging around the chimney and spray painting the plumbing vents to match the color of the new roof. The clean-up on our property was well done. We highly recommend Patriot Roofing & Construction. Love giving back to our Veterans!!!

Eric looked at my roof for free. Asked for the most reflective shingle on the market. He suggested the Landmark Solaris shingles. (house is four degrees cooler with them) His boys where fast, 1.5 days to install. Asked if there was any damage under. "My guys get a bonus for spotting any hidden damage. So they are always looking."

We had Patriot do a complete tear-off and reroof. We did a shingle/metal mix and could not be more pleased. Patriot Roofing recently replaced our roof with 30 year asphalt shingles. I found them very easy to work with, and attentive to questions and issues I raised prior to beginning the job. It took three and one half days to remove the old shingles and apply the new ones. I appreciated the time they took to do the job right. The new roof looks great and we have experienced no problems with it so far. Their project clean-up was excellent. I would recommend them if you need a new roof.

A great experience overall. I got 5 quotes and ended up choosing Patriot to replace my roof shingles. They offered a reasonable price on the lower end of the quotes, but I chose them because of their experience and attention to detail. The job was done very quickly by a skilled crew and they were very careful to clean up and not damage my garden. My roof is steep and challenging and it turned out great. They also partner with a bank to offer financing options which is so helpful. I recommend Patriot.

We needed a new roof due to some wind damage. I worked with JD Zobell, Who was extremely professional, courteous, on time with his bidding and paperwork, and was very quick to return any emails, texts, or phone calls. I had a very tight deadline that I had to work with, and he was able to get the roof installed before the deadline. The crew did a great job with the cleanup as well. The experience was phenomenal, and the roof looks incredible! I would refer them to anyone!

We first engaged with Patriot Roofing this past November (2023.) In addition to answering our many questions, JD took the time to provide separate bids based on different Certainteed tile types and roof venting options we were considering. The bids were very competitive and with a nominal down payment, JD allowed us to lock in pricing when we decided to push the project to spring due to concerns over unpredictable winter weather.

Fast forward six months - JD was great to follow up earlier this month, the work was scheduled and the Patriot crew did a great job. I was impressed that JD showed up each day to check in on progress and to answer any questions.

I set out to get a few bids on my roof. Patriot roofing was the first one i called. After meeting JD I was so impressed I didn't even bother getting other bids. They may not be the cheapest roofers out there. But I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for. I had 44 solor panels to pull off and put back on and he had that all taken care of for me. Then the roofing crew came out and finished up in 2 days. I was shocked how fast they had this done. Then JD got the solor company on the stick. And they done some reconfiguring of our panel layout which took a little more time. But nothing more than I was expecting. Very very satisfied with Patriot Roofing and JD. If your gonna do a roof call JD you won't be sorry.

I had the company put a new roof on a small extension to the home. When that roof leaked two years later, they said they do not warranty extensions like that. I was not impressed with the quality of their work, their warranty, or their service. I found them to be unusually expensive.

There are many considerations when choosing a roofer and roofing product, beginning with qualifications, workmanship, customer service and integrity of the roofing company. On the product end, quality and warranties are really critical. If you are in the market for a roofing repair or replacement, I found that there are many unscrupulous companies taking advantage of consumers with pressure tactics, dishonesty, poor quality workmanship, temporary workers and inflated prices. Many roofing companies are not even licensed contractors, thanks to a change in Utah law a few years ago.
I spent 6 months getting multiple bids and learning more than I ever wanted to know about roofing products and contractors, and I'm glad I did because I ended up absolutely loving the end result and how it led me to Patriot Roofing.
I found Patriot Roofing & Construction on Certainteed's website, and after calling the manufacturer was informed that Patriot Roofing is one of the few licensed general contractors serving the greater Salt Lake and Utah County areas that is qualified to offer a 5 star warranty adding an additional warranty on labor beyond the standard warranty. This was important to my husband and I because we're hoping this roof will last for 30 years or more. Even when choosing a quality product, if the roof is not installed correctly, you stand to lose years off the life of the roof. We've remodeled several homes and have noticed a trend recently of a lack of quality of workmanship in all types of contractors, however, the pride and exacting standards of JD Zobell and his in-house installers was exceptional.
From the start JD was a dream to work with, quickly responding to texts and calls, sending detailed bids, that were reasonable and competitive. JD gave my husband and I multiple opportunities to view completed projects, supplying samples, meeting us at the roofer's supply house, and patiently walking us through the process. When it was time for installation, JD and his crew were on time, worked quickly and carefully, were respectful of our property, and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the job. They even cleaned up the piles of leaves in our backyard!
We ultimately landed on Certainteed Northgate Climate Flex shingle in Weathered Wood and are absolutely ecstatic at how it elevated the beauty and curb appeal of our home. Our experience with Patriot Roofing was exceptional from start to finish. We'd recommend them to anyone! Thank you!

Patriot Roofing did an excellent job, JD and his awesome crew were here when they said they would be, I had a leak in my kitchen from winter and they moved the date up to get the job completed before the storms moved in, very professional and quick, they didn’t cut any corners and even went above and installed some edging in the front and back to improve the look. I had six bids and their price was great. Great job guys!

A friend recommended I reach out to JD about an issue we discovered with our roof while troubleshooting another problem. JD was able to come out promptly and used a drone to discover that we had 40 slipping tiles and 2 broken tiles. While unexpected and alarming, he was able to find my model of concrete tile. Two other roofing companies told me they weren't made anymore. My guess is, the other companies were either unfamiliar with this tile or were looking for a reason to raise prices. JD's team was able to fix all the tiles quickly before the next storm and on budget. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for an inspection, 2nd opinion, or performing roof repairs. If I have a problem again, Patriot Roofing will be my first call.

And, the high quality of the work is second to none. They are the best. Patriot replaced our roof and skylights and did a great job. They were responsive, professional, reasonably priced, and quick. One of our skylights was whistling in the wind after installation and they showed up same day and fixed it no questions asked. Would highly recommend.

I needed a new roof on my house and detached garage.

Patriot Roofing has done an excellent job removing all shingles down to the wood. Applied all new required materials and shingles, upgraded to meet all regulations. I highly recommend JD Zobell he did a great job explaining everything I needed.

We just had Patriot Roofing redo our roof and gutters. We are very pleased with the work they performed. They took our our swamp cooler off and replaced it with a sky light. It makes a big difference in our hallway. JD and his crew were great to work with and they pretty much did our house in a day and a half. Would definitely recommend Patriot Roofing for any roof replacement.

They replaced our roof in July of 2020. With the first rain storm that occurred in our area, a waterfall came gushing into our house through an obvious roofing installation error (photo attached). We contacted them immediately and even before seeing the situation or listening, they instantly started to blame leaking windows and said they would not be able to come out for a few days. After sending this photo to them, they did send out a repair crew immediately. This crew performed some pretty shoddy repairs, but they did stop the leak.
The owner, Eric Pauly, then came out to our home and tried to convince us that this insane amount of water running through our house was caused by a crack in our stucco and water coming in sideways.
There actually is no crack in our stucco, and this particular storm was without wind. We have hired 3 separate roofing companies to come out and give their analysis of the situation and they all say the same thing. Poor roofing installation, to put it politely.
This company does NOT stand by their work.
Please get a second opinion and hold this company accountable as necessary.
I also need to add that they actually FORGED email communication to provide to their insurance company in an obvious effort to skew the situation in their favor.

Ivan was top grade, and his first words were about arranging insurance claims to cover the cost. He handled reaching out to State Farm. It all worked seamlessly. The job on the main house was completed in a day; and the second day Patriot knocked out the "low slope" job (carport and shed) in a couple of hours. 100% satisfied!

Patriot was wonderful to work with. In the crazy time after the huge windstorm in Salt Lake City I had several companies come out to estimate the damage and give us bids. Anthony Mutter, our estimator, was really patient and thorough, and answered my hundreds of questions. His follow up and personal accountability were fantastic. And the foreman of our crew, JD Zobell, deserves praise for building, maintaining, and motivating such a professional crew. If you don't have to be home while your house is being re-roofed, don't be. The noise is horrific. But, if it's a quarantine and there's no where else to go, it nice to have friendly, prompt, super hard working professionals swarming all over your house. They were fast, efficient, and did a nice job cleaning up every night.

They were great through the entire process from bidding to installation. When we had a follow up request, they immediately responded.

Best decision I have made during my remodel! Ivan came as scheduled and looked at my roof let me know that due to the wind damage it would be covered under my home owners.(no other company mentioned this) he then took lead in getting it sent over and approved. Jd and team did a flawless installation in a timely manner and provided me with a beautiful new roof with no corners cut. In the end my insurance company was being difficult and Christina and Eric saw me through it and got it all figured out fast and professionally! As a retired General Contractor I know the difference between quality work and inferior work. Equally, I know how difficult it can be to find a dependable service who pays attention to the job no matter how big or small. Therefore, I am truly pleased to offer my professional recommendation to Patriot Roofing as a construction company that knows how to get the job done right. J.D. Zorbell promptly came to my house to look at the work I needed done. Although the job was small he give it the attention of a big project. He climbed the roof and thoroughly inspected the repair area. Returned to the ground and clearly discussed with me what needed to be done. He pointed out that to correctly fix the problem I needed to do some extra work that would require additional contractor services to the the roof work. He provided recommendations for those contractors who proved to be top notch. Patriot Roofing coordinated the repair work with all contractors; came out and did their work when promised, and left me with a beautiful new finish on my house. We hired patriot roofing to install a metal roof on a new build. I wouldn’t have been surprised if ours was their first ever metal roof. We had multiple areas that were dented so bad it looked like it had been hammered. We were put off weeks because they did not order enough material, twice, I’m not sure how that happens when they had a copy of the house plans. After the roof was complete they asked us to pay more money than what we agreed on. After all was said and done our roof leaked through an improperly installed ridge vent, the company argued that a roof isn’t supposed to protect against wind. Finally they came out to “fix” it by sealing the vent up, defeating the purpose of even having a vent.

Phil was so great to work with and delivered on everything he promised. JD was also great to work with and responded very quickly anytime I had a question. Job was completed on time and looks amazing. Highly recommend using Patriot roofing!

JD from Patriot Roofing did an amazing job for me, in a complete roof replacement. I got 12 bids from various roofing companies in the SLC area and ONLY Patriot said I had storm damage and suggested we call my home insurance right away. Sure enough they covered all but my $500 deductible which was an absolutely blessing for me at this time of zero cash flow in my professional life. Patriot was even able to do an outstanding job in snow season. JD and his crew were very professional, knowledgeable about roofing and truly wonderful to work with. I give them my highest recommendation and I have been in business for myself for 45 years, so am not easily impressed. YOU cannot go wrong with this outfit.

I would highly recommend Patriot Roofing and Construction for any roofing job. Small repair or a full roof like mine. Phill and JD worked very hard from the start to finish. Very professional and both brought a lot of experience to the job. They even had a dumpster company “Redbox+ deliver there dumpster with a built in Porta Potty. This allows the crew to spend more time on the job. There installers in my opinion are some of the best in the industry. Enjoyable to work with. Very good at there job. I busted talked with the owner and he sounded more then helpful to come and get the sign. He was super nice and wanted to resolve the problem. Here is the review I left for my one star. I have found 2 of these signs while running. They leave these signs out and just liter. This one was really cold to get and I had to go back and dry my feet and put new shoes on.

Patriot Roofing replaced our roof about five years ago and did an excellent job. We had them come back recently to re-shingled our shed. JD was great as always to deal with. He has done a lot for us over the years to come back and fix things. We highly recommend Patriot Roofing!

This is from the Patriot Roofing employee that supervised my job! The roof looks fine, there were a few small problems that could have been resolved more quickly and easily than they were. We had some exposed nails and sent them the Inspector's report showing that. We told them we would be happy to pay them the remaining due as soon as they were fixed. JD said that he came by and fixed them on October 25. My husband climbed up on the roof to find that he had not. He lied about fixing something that would have taken 10 minutes. It seems that they think people are too lazy to verify what they say. The roofers were polite and like I said, the roof looks good. It's too bad they chose to ruin the whole experience and get a bad review by lying. Had they jumped to it and taken care of the exposed nails this would be a different review. As it is, today JD says he fixed the nails, and sent pictures to verify. The inspection report was sent to them on Oct 21. Today is October 30. Too long to fix something so minor. But the lying clinched it. Unprofessional and dishonest. I would be wary of this company.

I appreciate that he took me on the roof to discuss his findings and showed me what we needed done. There work was fast, clean, and everyone we interacted with was kind and responsive. Just got my roof done by Patriot. They also did my dad's roof, that's how I got their number. Eric was very easy to work and communicate with. His supervisor JD was on time, very quick with communication and organized his crew well. They finished our roof in 2.5 days, 1/2 day sooner than agreed on. The roofing crew worked very hard and listened to my comments and fixed a few small issues I pointed out. I would definitely recommend Patriot Roofing and Co, to anyone redoing their roofs!

When Patriot Roofing said they would be at my location at a specific time, the lived up to their word. Fast service and very friendly and respectful. Price was competitive and included a 50 year warranty which was great.

My new roof looks okay but is crooked in places, the roofers left nails all over my yard, 6 months later and I'm still finding nails in my yard. In addition to that they left a huge oil stain on my driveway that I had to argue with the foreman about until it got cleaned up.

The first day on the job and the foreman said I had a nice house and asked what my husband does for work. I said I don't have a husband, and he asked if my parents helped me purchase my home. I let him know that I purchased the house on my own.

2 months after the roof was completed I still had not received my warranty. It took me about 6 phone calls, and an email to the owner before I got the warranty sent to me. After I emailed the owner the foreman sent a snarky text saying I should have contacted him instead of the company.

All in all it might be worth the competitive price if you're willing to put up with misogyny and to stay on top of things.

I've known Eric professionally and personally for many years and I feel like you won't get a better product or service from any other roofing company. Please give him a call if you are needing a new roof. Oh, did I mention he is a veteran as well!
