I used these guys to put solar on our house in Wailuku. From the quote (which was the lowest of the vendors I talked with for the same equipment, and wasnt a high pressure sales pitch unlike some other vendors) to the install, everything was just handled, with no delays and smooth communication to the subvendors and installers. During the install there was a problem with the preplumbed wire channel from the roof to the service outlet area, and the installers were super professional in creating a new access panel to an innaccessible area of my roof attic, fixing the channel (the builders had just left two conduits unconnected), and running the cables through there so we didnt have to run cables through a conduit outside my house. I appreciate their willingness to go the extra mile to do work that cost them extra time to remediate what wasnt really their problem, to make my house's exterior look as tidy as possible. They seemed like real pros who wanted to do the best job possible. They were fanatical about cleanliness as well, which is always a plus. Our Sales guy Sean stuck with me till the end and gave me training on the new system. This is one of the most professional contractors I have experienced on the island. They cared more about the project quality than I did, frankly. My neighbors had an extended period where their solar wasn't working till it could be approved, but mine was activated on day one. Not sure why my neighbors had trouble, but the day the electricians install happened, power was flowing from the roof. I'd expected to wait months like my neighbors did.

From initial contact with their sales Rep, Sean through final inspection with the county everything went better than expected. Top rate equipment, experience, install and service for us.

I had looked at other, big brand national companies, but had a less than ideal initial experience. Happy that i oped to go local with Pacific Energy/Maui Solar.

I've had a battery + panels since Nov 2023... PE did a great job installing and helping me understand how it all works and working out a few pre-existing issues I had.... The past few months I have had a connection-only electric bill which is wonderful! I was paying over 500 a month at one point... now 30 bucks!!! Deavon and the install crew did a great job. I highly recommend them!

We have been with Pacific Energy Maui Solar PV for 3 years. We have been very happy with their communication and installation. Not one complaint. After installation, they are very responsive when you have questions, or if needed for troubleshooting. Highly recommend Pacific Energy Maui Solar.

Simply Superb!

From the first contact with Jana in the office to the final steps with HECO this was an exceptional experience.

Sean, our sales rep, immediately contacted us and listened to our needs and then after thoughtful review, and a prompt visit to the house, recommend the right setup for our needs.

From there, the experience continued to get better. Clear, concise communication through the often times, slow and frustrating process of county and HECO approvals showed how they are clearly at the top of their game. Everything just clicked.

Once approved, the next phase began. Once again, top class.

Install date was set, prior to the install a tech came out and surveyed the property once again to make sure all details were to our liking and that they would arrive prepared for the install.
That day came without a flaw. The Install manager was communicative, and effective! installation of 17 panels and a Tesla Battery were flawless, NO time was wasted & respect was shown for their presence in our space. They again, excelled at their part.

Electrical installation came two days later, and after experiencing all of the above, I did not expect them to outshine themselves, but they did.

The team was again, professional, courteous and simply did a stellar job at integrating the existing 34 panel system. the final install required some on the fly adjustments and creativity (our fault) and they were able to install a seamless and gorgeous install of all components needed on a single wall.

Final inspections came and went without a hitch (of course) and the system is now cranking out sun power, enough to power the entire house and out cars (EV) with extra to spare, just a we requested.

It is a thing of beauty, the feeling one gets when
a) they harness the sun for all their power needs
and more importantly
b) they will never have to pay MECO another dime ;)

I had Pacific Energy design and install a 25 kW PV system. The whole experience was very positive: from the initial contact and design of the system, to the scheduling, installation, and followup issues. They have always communicated promptly. They took care of all the permits (HOA, MECO, County).

I was well versed on PV systems and challenged some assumptions during the design phase and there was no pushback. We talked things over and actually changed the design to address my concerns.

The installers and electrician were very professional and communicated when they were going to be here and how long things were going to take. The cleaned up after themselves nicely :-).

The system has been operational for a few weeks. A couple of minor issues have cropped up and they have been very responsive. Could not be happier with the whole experience.

Definitely recommend them. 5+ stars.

I can not say enough good things about this company from our sales rep who went the EXTRA mile to ensure financing to the installation guys and the mascot puppy to the tech specialist who helped us understand the app and set up connections.

It’s hard to pick one because everything fell into place for us using this company. From beginning to end service was awesome! PV system, how it works, and long term benefits was explained and application was guided by Jana, installers were always on time and explained what they were doing, our questions always answered, and we are now enjoying the benefits and savings on electricity! I would highly recommend Pacific Energy!

Great solar system dealer/installer! Had them install a solar panel system with a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery system. Once we signed the contract they were started on the install within a week, finished the panel and battery install, including wiring, in one day. 2 days later their electrician finished the hook up and we were generating power. Received an email from Tesla the same day with information on how to download and use the system app. All the technicians were courteous, neat, and efficient!

Pacific Energy is so far ahead in the PV energy space. They have a business practice to get your system designed, approved, permitted, installed and close-out in record time. My experience with service and execution was better than my expectation. I had a very large system (91 panels) installed and they completed the entire system within 4 days! It passed inspection with no corrections. Their process to navigate this process is the best experience for a consumer. Let them do it and just write the check. Oh, and the products (SunPower panels and Solar Edge inverters) are the best in the market place with the best warranty and technology...hands down. Highly recommend Pacific Energy for Maui solar PV !!

Really good experience with Pacific Energy. Adjusted their schedules several times due to our issues with completing our house purchase. Responds very quickly to questions. Nice staff to deal with. Very satisfied with product. Would recommend!!

This has been my first solar project on a property I own. I enjoyed working with Daryl at the beginning of the project. The design and installation all went smoothly and as proposed. All processes including County approvals, Maui Electric signoff, Wailea Community Association signoff went smoothly. There was a slight delay with the Tesla components as predicted. The Tesla and MySolarEdge Apps are very helpful to track and monitor solar installation throughput.

We contacted multiple PV installers about getting a system set up at our house and Maui Solar was the only one that made it a point to actually come out and take a look at the property and discuss our needs before putting together a proposal, which we really appreciated.
They were quick to respond to any inquiries, and when they said work would be done by a certain date the work was done usually in advance of that date.
The entire team we worked with at Maui Solar were professional and friendly, and were a pleasure to work with.

After researching solar for years, I Finally found what I was hoping for with Pacific Energy. Better quality parts then the other companies with a price that was lower then those same companies. I have a complicated tile roof, it has never leaked after installation “3 years ago”, tiles were not broken I couldn’t be happier

When I first moved here in 2013 I contracted with Pacific Energy to install solar on my condominium. They did such a great job that when I sold my condominium and purchased a house in 2020 I called them again. They continue to be a professional and reliable company. Loved these guys. They installed the panels perfectly, the batteries perfectly and they were just a pleasure doing business with. Smart, professional, and full of aloha, I would recommend to anyone!

Always doubtful about sales pitch, and looking for someone to set me at ease. You wont be dissatisfied with Pacific Energy. Eveything they pitched was accurate. The project was done on time and to my satisfaction. I like the Federal and State tax breaks. My electric bill dropped down to a little above nothing. I can now run all my electric appliances in Hawaii without killing the budget. Hawaii has the highest energy cost in the nation. Darryl is amazing. No sales pitch from this guy. I think he loves his job.

Daryl and his team took care of all of the paperwork for us, and discussed all of the design and installation plans with us before doing any work.
