Over 2 Tom's Auto And RV

Recently had these guys go through my whole RV before a year long trip. The team here replaced two of my awnings and fabricated a heavy duty Reese hitch for the back of my rig. Everything came out better than my past experiences with the big box store and it was half the price. I highly recommend this place for any repair, big or small.

We have tried for months to get in with the dealership for our RV to be serviced. One of the A/C units not working, we were referred to Over 2 Toms. They were very helpful and got the job done in a very timely manner! They were prompt to respond to questions and very easy to work with.
We will be using them again in the future!

We are out of ownership and had a great experience. Had a fender bender in our RV and we weren't sure if the slider would open. They helped us right away,we didn't have to wait. They were very busy,but,took the time to help,making sure the slider functioned. They were professional and friendly. Would Highly Recommend

Hands down the best shop on the East Coast! If ten stars were, possible they'd have it. Tom's attention to detail, enthusiasm, and professionalism are among the top tier of any mechanic I've ever met or done business with.

I talked to the lady at the reception and she was extremely helpful and put me in the right direction then when I got there I had a couple of guys and tell me exactly what was going on with my camper and which steps to take. Thank you very much!

Left my camper with Tom to have some fairly minor collision repair work done. He received insurance check within a week. 3 months later I got my camper back. It looked like children did the repairs. Terrible quality. Also there was a missing battery, battery box lid and zero gravity chair missing. Toms response was " oh well. Must have been stolen. I will never bring him any more work or recommend him.

I found Tom last year after purchasing an older RV that needed a new hydraulic lift. Tom was extremely diligent about getting the part (since it was on backorder); and worked closely with the manufacturer to procure the lift. The process was lengthy and time consuming, but Tom communicated with us every step of the way. Tom and his team also performed some cosmetic work on the RV's interior including the installation of shiplap on the walls, a fireplace in the common area, and mounting of TVs. He even installed new awnings. The team also did a full maintenance assessment and ensured our RV was road ready. Tom and his team are reliable experts and I highly recommend them for your RV needs.

Tom and his team do excellent work. I had my travel trailer damaged by a National RV company which shall remain unnamed due to an NDA lol. I found this business through a referral and it was the right move. They were able to repair the damage and get me back on the road in time for the summer camping season with no hassle and professional work. Thank you Tom!

Tom was more then helpful went beyond what was necessary. We are out of state and had no power to the rig. He told us to come by in the AM. We did and not only did he fix and repair what we asked but even found other problems that he went ahead and fixed on his own. My wife and I were on an extended vacation trip to Charleston SC in our Rex Air 36 foot motor home. On the return trip to PA we experienced some difficulties in the operating of the vehicle that caused running problems and threatened to put us out of action on the side of the road.

After a number of calls to repair agencies in and around the area of Biscoe, NC, no one could be found that had any available openings, ( some not willing to do anything for months ). One person suggested calling Over 2 Tom's Auto and RV. This call was made and the owner on the phone told us that we could bring our unit to be looked at. Running in on the 'limp in mode' our RV was able to make it to his location. Once there, Tom and his Crew made allowances for us to set up and be taken care of for two days, to include a power hook us for Air Conditioning and amenities while we stayed in out unit. The staff and crew were Outstanding and went beyond what I have ever experienced at a multitude of repair facilities in my 69 years.

I would consider the response for our short notice request and the care and attitudes of all the staff that we received in this visit as a 5 Star + situation, and I would recommend that you should call them FIRST. You will not be disappointed.

Tom was a lifesaver. The third axle shackle snapped on our rv. We called and they told us to bring it over. Everyone here was super nice and helpful. Tom went above and beyond to repair our shackle. He asked if we wanted them gusseted. He had to order a spring and some other parts for the RV. He picked up parts the next morning and completed all repairs. If you are in this area and next service or help this is definitely the place to come.

I recently bought an rv and decided to drive south just me and my 2 little girls. Well after driving for about 3 hour's I started getting into hills and my rv started bogging down really bad, I'm talking slowing down to 25mph and it would make a poping sound under the doghouse compartment upfront when I pressed the gas. I stopped in this little town called reaford nc....I changed my spark plugs and put some stuff in the gas ....it did no good. So that's when I decided I'd need a mechanic. After reading reviews I knew exactly who I was taking it to....and that was "over to Tom's rv and auto repair near seven lakes nc " but there was only one problem....I was 44 mins away from them and didn't know if I could make it....I called them and this very sweet lady told me to just come on and they would take care of me and get me in! So I started heading that way..luckily i made it.....when I made it there I pulled in and hoped out to walk inside....as I was walking up there were two guys walking out and they asked me could they help me...I said well I called and spoke to a lady on the phone about my rv and he said oh ok your the girl traveling with your two little girls I said yes...he said ok well I'm Tom...and after explaining to him what it was doing he said "well hope in let's take a ride" so we got in and within a matter of seconds he diagnosed the issue..it was my fule injectors...after arriving back at the shop he says "I assume you guys are staying in your rv...I said yes...he said well I have to order the parts...and it may take a few days...I said ok is there any hotels near and he said nope no need for a hotel you guys can plug right into the shop and yall will be fine. So they plugged me and my daughters up to the shop and we stayed untill they got me fixed up again! I can not even begin to express my gratitude for their kindness and expertise! Everyone there was kind and helpful....when it was time to go my dughters didn't want to leave lol....I'll never let another person work on my rv except for "over to toms" Mr. Tom and his sister run an awesome repair shop! The work is perfection and the prices are perfect! You'll be 110 percent happy you went over to Tom's! I promise!!! Again thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!

I’m new to the Seven Lakes area and had struggled to find the right auto-shop. I found it when I found Over to Tom’s. What I liked most about the experience was the customer service - fast , honest, and courteous. Tom was so generous he even drove my van home! Many thanks to to the team at Tom’s.

Absolutely awesome place! Took care of me on the fly when I was having trouble with my nissan..stop everything that day to make sure I was ok. Has my Lexus and my Audi as we speak and we all know how difficult mechanics can be when it comes to foreign vehicles.... Mr Tom didn't blink an eye!

Seriously life savers. We’re fulltimers due with a baby in 2 weeks in freak out mode with no heat. We finally fired the rv tech from happy campers rv repair after him “trying” to fix our furnace for 1.5 months and we brought the furnace to Over 2 Toms. Thank goodness we did! Within 2 hours of dropping the furnace off, it was fixed. Soo grateful and they are nice people. Go here for your rv problems! Do not hire anyone else! We learned the hard way, but glad we know who to trust now!

Having been an RV owner for over 20 years, I can say unequivocally, this is the best service I have ever received on any of my RV's. The team at Over 2 Tom's was incredibly friendly, helpful, and prompt. They remedied a very badly done repair by Camping World. This was a difficult plumbing repair and Mike wouldn't stop until the job was perfect. On top of the great work, Tammy handled the warranty claims with the manufacturer, making this a smooth and stress-free process for us! We give them our highest recommendation.

We were on Vacation at Sycamore Lodge in Derby, North Carolina. I was referred to Tom from the General Store as he sometimes can assist in onsite Repairs. Our Oven and Hot Water Heater decided that they did not want to play nice as sometimes things do. It was a difficult fix for the Oven as the unit on our RV is 18yrs old and most of the parts are discontinued. they searched and found a used part for us. They brought it out and installed it. The oven works amazing again. The Hot Water Heater was only a Valve issue and they had us up and running enjoying our Vacation. I would use them again and suggest you do to! Great Local Company.

We had a breakdown in our RV as we were headed to the beach. Good Sam Roadside Assistance had us towed here. These folks were great. They let us spend the night in our RV behind their shop. Got us fixed up and on the road by 11:00 the next day. Great people. Great work!

Mobile Rv repair-
We are on our anniversary trip at Sycamore Lodge in Jackson Springs NC and the slide on our camper wouldn’t extend. Over 2 Toms was recommended to us and we called. Mike came to our camper on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, diagnosed the problem quickly. The Slide Controller panel wasn’t working and they had to order this part which proved hard to get because of COVID. Tammy worked very hard, kept calling different vendors and found the part. We weren’t expecting it to arrive until Thursday but it came a day early. Mike was back to our camper Wednesday fixing our slide, even though he didn’t have to come back til Thursday. He had it working in no time. We couldn’t ask for a better experience. They were so kind and courteous and went the extra mile. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional company, a job done right and at a fair price. Thanks again Mike and Tammy, y’all saved our trip.

Could not thank Tom, Mike, and Tammy enough for helping us out in a pinch! We were traveling through town on a two week road trip and needed a trailer connector cord fixed after it got pinched and cut causing us to lose our hazards and left blinker signal! Not only did they drop everything and get it repaired for us, but they also fixed our hookup as we were riding far too low on the hitch which, incidentally, is what caused the cord to get damaged in the first place. We are renting the RV so are new to all of this - Tom and Mike took time to teach us a thing or two that should help us out for the next legs of our trip. Super knowledgeable, fairly priced, and funny and kind to boot! If you are ever in need for RV or auto repairs, I’d highly recommend going to Over 2 Tom’s!

We live in a 13ft camper full time on the outer banks for the summer. My boyfriend and I evacuated for a mandatory hurricane evacuation to our friends house in Roanoke, VA. Before we left, we noticed a burning plastic smell inside our camper. Nervous to plug in again, we called an rv place in the Roanoke VA area. Due to COVID we were told that the parts we needed were back ordered for weeks! Since we live in our camper full time that wasn’t going to work for us.

Determined to find a solution, I called every RV repair shop in both VA and NC. Most places told me they were booked up for 5+ weeks in repairs and/or didn’t have any more parts.

I finally got to calling Over 2 Tom’s and spent the next 30 minutes talking to Tom about the issues we were having and how we were so desperate to have it repaired. He immediately knew the issue I was having wasn’t related to each specific breaker - it was that the entire breaker box needed to be replaced. He told me if I could be at his shop the next day that he could have it repaired by the day after. Shocked, we said yes of course - even though it was 3 hours away.

We are so so glad that we didn’t give up searching for a solution to our issue! Tom spent the extra time explaining everything to us and why we were constantly having breaker issues. We’re so happy that Tom and his team were able to squeeze us in and make us a priority so we could get back to living full time in our camper.

If we ever have any further issues (I hope not!!) we will definitely make the trip back! 100% the nicest, friendliest, and most knowledgeable mechanic around! You won’t be disappointed as they truly do provide service with a smile.

So this was our first time taking out our new RV. And an hour into our 3 hour trip to the beach our tire blows out. I instantly start freaking out, especially with it being just my daughters and I, it being my first time taking an RV trip. I didn’t know what to do. I started calling shops near by through google.

I called this shop, still slightly in panic. Tammy didn’t just provide me with an abundance of information I needed on how to handle my situation. But continued to reassure me that everything was going to be okay. She calmed me down. She went above and beyond to help me. Customer service like this is refreshing, sometimes we get caught up in our daily tasks and fail to interact and genuinely care for people.

Tom’s was great. I got my RV back a day early, his work was very good and price very reasonable with 10percent military discount. I will tell everyone I see that has a RV. Thanks again for your professional and great service.

When experience and getting the job done correctly matters (which it always matters when working with Auto and RV) do yourself a favor and use Over 2 Tom's. I had an issue with the roof on my fifth wheel and Tom seriously helped me out of a pinch. Very hard to find folks that care as much as they do at Over 2 Tom's. Thank you!

Lazy, loud, unpleasant business man likes to pass off hack jobs as actual mechanics and body work. Do NOT trust the manipulative lines that come out of his ungodly orifice. The work is not properly done in a timely manner and I've seen better communication skills from my toddler. Waste of money and time!

I was referred to Over 2 Toms a few years ago by a friend. For years I had trouble finding a place to service my RV. I’ve never gone to another place now. The quality of service is outstanding. They are knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help you find the right options for repairs or upgrades.

Tom and his team has performed several jobs for me. Since his beginning, they have provided excellent work, at a fair price. Tom and his staff will bend over backwards to help you out.

I took my horse trailer with Living Quarters to Over 2 Tom’s on Wednesday 02/19/20 to have it serviced and have some repairs done. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, I was able to pick it up early on Thursday 02/20/20 with everything serviced and repaired. They took the time to show and explain things to me. I highly recommend Tom and his Crew! They are a 1-stop shop!

Mike told me to check the vent on outside of RV to see if air was coming out when gas heat was turned on. We also cleaned the inside vent. The gas heat started working properly. This saved us a repair trip.

Absolutely terrible!!!! They had our RV 45 days, many excuses as to why they weren't done fixing it. Finally brought it home, washed it and what was supposedly fixed, not right and it leaked. Made an appointment to have things fixed yet again and so hubby could stay while the work was done. The parts hadn't been ordered. RIP off, will NEVER go back!!! Missed our vacation through all of this also.

Make it right without keeping the RV forever and maybe you could meet our expectations!. We spent enough money there . We shouldn't have had leaks. The commode should have been fixed and the guy that put the fridge in told us he could trim it out nicely. Instead, he framed it with plywood and NO trim. Just very disappointed!

The people are very friendly. The prices are reasonable. If not sure what is wrong with your vehicle Tom will look it over and give an HONEST answer on what is wrong with it.

My wife and I have been planning a trip to the Outer Banks for months and wouldn’t you know it a week before we were to leave the slide on our RV stopped working. I did some research and found Over2Toms had some great reviews so I phoned and they told me to bring it by despite being incredibly busy. Mike, the senior technician, took one look at it and diagnosed the problem right away and within two hours had repaired my RV and saved my vacation. They will have my RV business from now on. Reliable work at the best price around! Tom's team will do a great job. The team works a little blue, not the best for children, but they are honest, friendly, and hospitable. I don't look forward to auto repair, but at least I can look forward to talking to my favorite repair team!

Tom always takes care of us - 10 til 5 on a Friday and he'll make sure you are safe for the weekend. And more than once I have "self diagnosed" a problem that could cost lots of money only to be told by Tom that it was something simple... that's honesty! Thank you Tom and your staff!

Terrible experience with them working on my boat. They had it for months and never got anything done on it. Had to take it to another shop to work on it only to find they had removed parts and did not leave them in the boat or retain them. Now spending additional $$ just to get the correct parts. Very poorly run business!

Great service and repair of my car. No overcharging, professional knowledge and excellent repairs in a reasonable amount of time.

Edited my 1 Star to 4: I was called and a vm was left for me with a sincere apology. I appreciate it very much and unfortunately someone else did change my oil this time, but going forward I will keep this business in mind. Thank you so much.
