Working with Orion on our roofing project was an extreme pleasure for my wife and I. We were in desperate need of a roof replacement or repair due to leaks causing internal damage. We appreciated how quickly Orion assessed the issues and came up with possible solutions. We decided to replace the existing roof and Orion gave the best pricing of all estimates we received. Orion was also the only one willing to replace it as soon as material arrived. All others would not have even started until Feb which was not good for my house. From the front office to the work crews, you could not ask for a more professional group to work with. I highly recommend Orion Roofing for any of your roofing needs.

In the middle of a Portland February, with rain coming through the ceiling, Orion showed up and got a new roof on in record time! I've used Orion as my roofer for over a decade. I trust their expertise and truly enjoy working with them!

Orion Roofing came out to bid on my total roof replacement project back in June of 2011. Compared to other companies, the representative from Orion was on time, provided thorough answers to all my questions, and ended up offering a very competitive bid.

There were several items I wanted that were a little different. It was a complete tear-off and replacement, and I didn't want to have a roofing company first lay down plywood if it wasn't needed. Orion inspected the ship lap in the attic and said it only needed some minor repair but was otherwise in excellent shape. Only one other company was willing to repair the ship lap. Others insisted on covering the whole roof with plywood. The ship lap was repaired (only cost about $300) and it's worked just fine for the last 14 years.

I also didn't want the standard vents that stick out from the roof, but I wanted edge vents and roof vents which I think are a better technology. Again, Orion said no problem. Others were unsure or unpracticed in installing edge and roof vents, which work extremely efficiently and look much, much better.

I also wanted to have solar tubes installed in several places and again, Orion handled this with ease. Some of the others were less experienced in dealing with solar tubes. For all these reasons, and a competitive bid, Orion got the job.

The crew that came out was run by Eduardo (no longer works at Orion), who was one of the most responsible, energetic contractor employees I've ever met. He was great to work with and the crew appeared to like him a lot. There were no problems that I can remember (this is being written over 14 years later) and the roof looked great when it was all done. I can say now that after 14 years of service, I've had no leaks or other problems with the roof.

I should add that a couple of times over the years, there have been problems on or around the roof which were ultimately determined to not have anything to do with the roof or roof installation. Yet in each instance, when I called Orion about the problem, they responded promptly and came out to investigate and do what they could. I have nothing but high praise for the company and recommend their services.

We contacted Orion Roofing in 2022 to obtain a bid for reroofing our (44) year old house that had a couple of small roof leaks in the previous winter. This was not a “cold call” on our part, as our son had dealt - very favorably - with Orion on several occasions for attic and roof issues at different residences.

In short, our experience with Orion reflected those of our son …. from the bid process, contract development, and - finally - through project completion. The installation crew were quite impressive to us in their construction skills, work ethic, and safety concerns.

As it turned out, two of the crew members have substantial artistic interests and skills that they follow in their personal time. It seemed to us that these skills translated directly into the meticulous way in which our roof project was carried out.

After (2) complete winters behind us now, our new roof has performed very well, with the former leak problem resolved. We have NO reservations in recommending Orion Roofing to others for their roofing projects.

I'm still happy with the service and work quality I got from Orion. And I still stand by my 5 star review, and I highly recommend Orion. So happy I chose them.

It’s been several years since our old roof began to leak and we weathered the winter with tarps. The next dry season we tore it off, replaced the needed plywood, and Orion Roofing came in and made quick work of the metal roofing we picked out. They did an amazing job with the flashing around all the awning posts and everything else poking out of our house. We have had zero problems with our roof since. Thank you Orion Roofing!

When we wanted to have our roof replaced in 2018, we had a solar panel installation that would need to be removed and reinstalled as part of the project, but the system's installer was no longer doing residential work. Orion was the only roofing company that was able to partner with a different solar contractor to perform the removal, storage, and re-installation of the solar panels around the roofing project. Orion's own roofing work was great, and the reinstalled solar panels worked as before after reinstallation.

Fast-forward to 2019, when we decided it was time to move into a larger home around the same age. According to the inspector, the new home was also in need of reroofing. We didn't hesitate to contact Orion for a quote and scheduling. The team once again performed above expectations, helping to identify that in addition to a re-roof with the same product we had used on our previous home, some of our home's siding had started to deteriorate and was in need of repair or replacement. They replaced any sections of siding that had crumbled when the roofing flashing was installed behind it with real Hardiplank that would perform better than what was previously installed. Thanks to Orion, we were able to enjoy another great new roof and then take action to avoid potential costly repair down the road due to the failing siding.

Have referred the company several times since, so far have not heard any disappointment from friends who have used their services.

Orion Roofing replaced my roof in 2010 and I called them back out in 2024 after I was told by a solar panel installer that the roof was failing. They came out and help me to file a warranty claim with the shingle supplier and helped guide me through the convoluted process. The end result was that the shingle supplier provided warranty replacement material and some labor costs to help replace the failing shingles. I'm so glad that I chose them back in 2010 and never expected that they would be so willing to help out 14 years later but they were determined. I greatly appreciate their help and would not have been able to complete the warranty request without it. THANK YOU for going above and beyond all reasonable expectations !!!!

Orion Roofing (at the time, they were J. Vaughn Roofing) replaced our roof 25 years ago. I did extensive research at the time including the BBB and client references, and we interviewed and received estimates from 4 different roofing companies. We chose them and have never regretted the decision. We chose a 40-year shingle, and after 25 years, our roof is in good shape. We have taken good care of it over the years with regular moss treatments and periodically we have Orion come out to inspect. When we later replaced our windows, the workers left some unfilled holes in our roof and it leaked. Orion came out and discovered the cause and plugged the holes without charge. Several years ago, we did have them do a bit of refurbishment after an inspection. We have always been extremely pleased with their responsiveness and professionalism. About 10 years ago, we also used Orion to create a new gutter system at my elderly mother’s home after shoddy work done by another company. They did an excellent job and really helped us out of a bad situation. We would be pleased to recommend Orion Roofing to anyone.

Our process started out with multiple bids for our 23 year old roof with two layers of shingles from 3 companies, after receiving estimate and on site evaluation from Orion we selected them for our new roof. Great communication from the entire team at every step starting with Doug for initial inspection and assessment, to Jaclyn’s comms on all steps and estimate including level of roof options and upgrades if desired. They then got us immediately scheduled and provided a start and completion timeframe, They were able to start due to a cancellation within a week, Mario was their lead supervisor on site and he was fabulous to work with walking us through updates and checking with us daily. Orion Roofing was knowledgeable and prompt. Mario's team was communicative and able to work around our busybodies at home. There were a few hiccups, but these were on the administrative side and had nothing to do with their work. The hiccups were dealt with quickly, which was greatly appreciated. I had a really great experience working with Orion Roofing to replace my roof. Within a few hours of reaching out, I worked with Jaclyn to schedule the initial appointment to have Doug inspect the roof and provide an estimate. When we bought our house 27 years ago the seller made a point of telling me that he had just had a new cedar roof installed by someone who he described as a "boutique roofer," named Jason Vaughan. With a normal amount of routine maintenance, the roof held up well for 27 years. During that time people who worked on the roof commented on the quality of the installation. When it came time to replace the roof, I discovered that Jason Vaughan was still in business as Orion Roofing. I gave him the job because what better recommendation is there than your own experience. Orion replaced the cedar roof with asphalt shingles, and also replaced the skylights, gutters, downspouts, and gutter guards as well. In addition, they rebuilt two cedar sided chimneys. The job began within two weeks of signing the contract. It went quickly and smoothly and was completed in four days. We are very pleased with the finished product. The quality was high, and the price for the job was fair. The crew was effective, efficient and did a thorough clean up. All of my questions were answered, and Mario conducted a walk around with me after the job was completed.

I called out to get a potential bid on a roof replacement and Jacklyn was able to schedule an inspection within a day. Doug came out to inspect the property both roof and attic and provided honest feedback on the state of the roof-taking hi-res photos. We recently had a roof leak on an 18 year old roof built in a contractor developed neighborhood. A new roof was needed after an inspection, as expected. We gathered several estimates and settled on Orion Roofing. They weren't the lowest of estimates but the time and effort the estimator, Doug, took to come to our house and show us products and let us touch the materials was huge in our book, not all roofing co. will show up to do an estimate, they just take an aerial view of your house and send you a quote.

The crew showed up on time. They're work was clean and efficient, it's hard for them to tear down an old roof when the houses are so close together. Within a couple of days we had a new roof. The product was exceptional. We were very happy with the quality of the work, the clean up and the friendliness of the entire staff.

Orion Roofing did some patch repairs to my low slope roof years ago, so I knew that Jason knows his stuff when it comes to roofing. Recently I needed a consult on some new roofing issues, so Jason came out and reassured me that I didn’t need to have my roof replaced, and probably had years left on my current roof. He answered many questions that I had and I will not hesitate to call them again next time I need any roofing done.

I had them install metal roofing, skylights, and gutters on my new additions and do additional repairs on my existing presidential shingles. Each of them answered all of my questions also were honest about the condition of my existing roof. The workmanship is great and they take pride in their work. They aren’t just there to take your money, they are there to build good relationships and take care of their customers needs. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will use them when the time comes to replace my older parts of my roof and any future projects I have. They left the worksite clean and clear of all debris and addressed all questions or concerns I had with detailed explanation and made recommendations.

Meant to post this couple months ago. We had a tree fall on our house but was fortunate not to have serious damage but Jason and his crew came out to make sure and they noticed some of the flashing was damaged and they fixed it after they were able to source the material. Very good follow up service

I called Orion Roofing to come out to my rental house to give me a bid on my roof. they told me it was extremely too difficult for them to do. some plywood sheets needed replaced and one rafter Ridge redone and they turned me down on the project . They said they cannot do it. Fast-forward two months later I’ve called them out to give me a different bid on my existing home which is only a 25-year-old home standard roof pitch. they stood me up on my appointment. which I canceled my kids orthodontist appointment to wait for them and then they sent me a text saying that my roof is too steep and has too many ridges and valleys to make it worthwhile for their crew to do. I think they just cherry pic there jobs fast and easy. If u want quality and pride going in your roof I would look else where.

We recently had our 4500 sqft roof replaced by Orion Roofing. I selected them after 4 bids and contractor interviews. Cost was important and Pedro gave a competitive bid and worked with me to ensure I was selecting the right product. Jaclyn was very professional and kept me apprised of the upcoming time and date of the job. I was really impressed by how quickly she responded to my emails and how well informed she was of the status. Once the job started I was completely convinced I had selected the right company. Every single person on the crew was polite, professional and ready to answer any questions I had. The job took a week and spanned over a weekend. They always left the job site complete cleaned, picked up and trash and hauled it away daily. I mean picking up every nail at the end of a very tiring day from all over my house...think about how hard this team worked. I just want to thank everyone at Orion Roofing Company. They did an excellent job replacing my roof. When I called them to get an estimate, Jaclyn set me up the next day for an estimate. Jaclyn informed me that Pedro would be the one coming out to do my estimate. The next day I met with Pedro and Pedro told me that my estimate would be E-Mailed to me the next day. That next day I received the estimate by E-Mailed and I excepted the estimate. The Roofing Material arrived a few days later. It wasn't to long after that when the Crew show up to do the work. Jaclyn kept me informed at all times. The Crew was so awesome. They busted their butts replacing the rotten plywood and the roof. With all the work being done it only took 3 1/2 days from start to finish. They did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. I would recommend this company for everyone. Our roofing project was completed yesterday, and we are very pleased with the results! Due to the weather, we had to wait a few weeks to get started but the company kept us informed about when we could expect them. Everyone we dealt with were courteous, professional and helpful. The crew was great, and cleaned up our property at the end of each day. They worked so hard, even in the rain, to complete the job in a timely manner. We had purchased gutter guards from Costco, and they installed them for us at the end of our re-roof for the cost of labor. Highly recommend Orion for your roofing needs!

We had problems with a previous roofing job, and Orion was responsive, and did an excellent job. They kept us up to date on their work, and we could not be happier. Thanks to the crew for doing a great job.

Knowledgeable, honest, and dependable

I got 3 quotes from different companies. Although they were all similar in price, one company wouldn't address the patio cover that was causing rotting problems, another company did offer a solution, but Orion offered 2 solutions. One was what the other company suggested, but they also pointed out the minor flaw in that solution and offered a better option but would cost slightly more. That's when I realized Orion crews were focused on the details and not just on the quick and easy.

The crew was respectable of the property and cleaned up every night before going home. If I had questions, they were happy to answer and make sure I understood what they were doing and why so that I was happy. They took pictures of what was being done and shared them with me.

During the process there were 2 issues that were unforeseeable. On both occasions we discussed the options and they went the extra effort to get it how they would want it to be done if it was their home. They truly treat your home like it was theirs. Orion is invested in your home and not just in the profits.

I could not be happier with the work they did and the care they had. They were wonderful to work with from the front office to the roofing crew at my place.

This company has been taking care of our commercial roofing needs for several years. I appreciate the care in roof maintenance they provide, as well as their prompt service when emergencies have arisen. I highly recommend Pedro and his fine staff.

They did a great job! I am very pleased with my new roof. They also put in a solar tube in my bathroom and it looks great. Kept things clean and were very professional. A great experience! Pablo called at the end of the job to make sure I was happy with everything.

Jason Vaughan (owner) and his staff both the crew that came out and the office staff were all great. We had a leaky roof is a few spots that was being mitigated by tarps. 1st they sent out a couple of guys to see if they could assess the problem and fix it, in my case it was beyond the quick fix stage. They still took steps to reduce the leaks and informed me with what I had already guessed I needed to have a tear off and replacement. The Previous roof was installed very poorly with many short cuts. Once things were settled we made the down payment for materials and were on the list. The date came near Jaclyn contacted us to let us know of a few cancellations due to people being out of town and asked if we would like to get bumped up we jumped on the opportunity. The crew asked when they could show up and get to work I said 8 AM worked great for me. They started showing up around 7:30 and fully assembled and ready to go by 8 AM. The crew was very courteous and informative. I asked to be informed/shown anything that might be a problem no matter how minor and they did not disappoint. They even pointed out that I had several Cedar siding boards on the split level that had large splits/cracks down the middle allowing water to get in behind. A quick call to Jason and they were happy to fix the problem ( I purchased the replacement siding boards while they were working on the roof). Once the roof was completed back up to the roof we went and they went over everything and gave opportunity for questions etc and explained the things that were fixed/repaired above and beyond standard tear off and replacement. The crew was very thorough each day in cleaning up the area and on the final day I walked around the house 3 x with the guys and we only found a few small things that were missed on their first round. All in all great job. I would not hesitate to do business with Orion again and have already started recommending them to co-workers.

I recommend Orion Roofing 100%! The new roof looks fantastic! Driveway and patio were cleaned every day before they left, tools and trash picked up and stored away. Roofing in December cannot be fun but they worked really hard to make sure our house was protected during heavy rain and even snow. Great job - thank you!

Superior Service

We are extremely pleased with the work and service that Orion Roofing /Sheet Metal performed not only did we get a superior roof done they found things we didn't know we had wrong and fixed them . Their team of roofers are super qualified , meticulous, helpful, knowledgeable at all levels not to mention the workmanship they performed was like they were doing their own home perfectionists I would have to say, and they cleaned up the surroundings perfectly no mess left behind , they come very highly recommended by us if you want a new roof and you want it done right!!!!
