JLV Construction was great to work with, very professional and did a great job with repairs to the exterior of the house. They replaced the roof, gutters, and repaired some dry rot. Highly recommend!

The JLV team did a complete residing and painting of our house and we were very pleased. Juan and his crew were respectful of our property and even helped me with disconnecting some old data cables that were connected to our home. Great communication with the office and the work was completed in the promised timeframe. Pricing was fair and clear.

JLV did my roof two years ago and I was happy with their work. So I called them back for an exterior painting project. Once again, they delivered excellent service - finished the job in 3 days including rotten column repair, and followed up with a thorough inspection to ensure everything was done right. From the beginning, JLV and Asael Rivas have provided all the information we needed to make a good decision. Asael didn't try to "sell" elements we wouldn't need ... he went out of his way to evaluate our 9 skylights, finding that several of them are in good shape and wouldn't need to be replaced. They took great care for the landscaping, including a large grape arbor. The workers were very capable, and cleaning at the end of the project was a delight, found no nails, no scrap materials. All was a great experience!

JLV Construction recently did a reroof for my rental town home and the 3 connected townhomes. Asael and the JLV team were wonderful to work with; professional and friendly. Communication was always clear and promt. All the work done was with high quality materials.

I recently had JLV replace my roof. I got bids from other roofing companies but Asael not only gave me the lowest bid but included superior materials. Alan and his other workers did a great job quickly and were very careful with my surrounding plants. I will need more roofing done in the future and there is no way I would hire any other roofing company. They also provided photos of the roof before, during construction and in completion. A great experience all around!

JLV construction did an awesome job on a very big job. Large home painting inside and out with attention to detail I've not seen before. Hauling away tons of items and building a beautiful new deck. They even helped with small things we need at no charge. I will use them exclusively in the future and get my entire neighborhood to as well. I recently had JLV replace my roof, and I was completely happy with the entire process. It took only three weeks from the time that obtained the initial quote to the completion of the install. There were a few small issues encountered post install, but they were quick to come back out and address these. I would certainly recommend them for any future work.

In January, JLV Construction installed a new roof on my house, and I would definitely hire them again. From start to finish, they provided excellent service.

I received bids from three companies, and JLV were the most honest in terms of what actually should be done -- they didn't add unnecessary work to the job. And their bid was the lowest of the three.

Their bid carefully described exactly what their work would entail and included warranties for labor and material.

And when it came to actually completing the job, the crew was respectful and efficient. Finally, they did an excellent job of cleaning up before they left!

I can't think of one bad thing to say about them.

JLV had a quick turn-around from when I called them to get a new roof installed. They honored a quote from the previous year when I first moved in which was really nice. The cleanup was good and we have a nice new roof :)

Great communication, which seems not the norm in the industry. Emails, texts, phone calls — all get responses in a timely manner and I never felt in the dark or talked down to. They replaced my roof super quick and cleaned up after they left. Highly recommend! I’m planning on calling them again to do my siding when it’s time.

I owed this review a long time ago... JLV is reasonable, responsible, and I will hire them many times over! My house needed a new roof. They were one of three I had visit to assess the job and costs. They quoted very accurately and advised of unforeseen complications that could increase the work and cost. It was an extensive project for this old house and JLV minimized surprises---and got all the work done in just a couple days! So, of course, when I needed the house painted in 2024, I called them. Just days before they were to arrive I had to shift my life to attending to my dad in the VA Hospital. I did not need to cancel JLV's work because they had proven their reliability. They had a few questions during the project but left to work without me there, they did exactly what they said they would when they said they would. While I handled a crisis, they repainted my house beautifully. This is the ideal contractor to work with and their work teams are respectful, patient and diligent.

These guys are awesome !! Asael was very thorough and explained everything to the detail when composing the proposal. They were very fast when doing the job but at the same time they paid attention to small details to ensure the work was well done. I highly recommend JLV Construction for any roofing needs you might have !!

JLV Construction did a great job throughout. I appreciated a quick bid after reviewing all the things I needed done. They worked with me on the dates for the repairs. They replaced the dry rot boards beneath the siding and shingles as well as painted to match the rest of the house. I was grateful for all the little extra details they performed with replacing the shutters, kept in communication with their findings and did an excellent job with clean up. JLV construction replaced our 25 years old roof. One of my friends referred them as they did my friend's roof. The members were very professional. Asael was very prompt on giving me the initial estimate and any queries on the contract. Their quote is very competitive with the market. The contractors were punctual and sincere during their work at our place. They were respectful to the premises, finished the project and clean-up in two days. They are also on time on sharing the post-work photos and insurance filing. I would definitely refer them to my friends!

The price was great with JLV. I personally liked Charlie and Asael. I would say the communication could have been better with the crew. There were a few things damaged during the tear off and that is understandable, but no one said anything about it until we did a final walkthrough. Besides that the cleanup was thorough around the property and with the gutters. Everything looks up to code and cleanly done.

A new roof is a serious investment in your home. JLV was a clear winner after interviewing six roofing companies. Yes, six may have been excessive but I wanted to be certain. JLV is professional and knowledgeable.

We had some leaking from our vents on the roof because of the cheap plastic the builders put in. JLV replaced all of our vents seemlessly and for a reasonable price. I highly recommend JLV.

The last ice/wind storm had devastating consequences for my roof. JLV came out and bid a new roof in February. No one wants to do a new roof in February but JLV was there to make it happen. They were able to respond in a short amount of time. The needed repairs were made, new flashing installed and new shingles went up in 3 days. Much better than the old roof they replaced. Their crews were polite, thorough, listened to concerns and CLEANED-UP the site every day. I would definitely recommend them. From bidding to completion they did a great job.

We hired JLV Construction for our new roof. They bid the job fair, we're direct and to the point and extremely easy to deal with. Nephi had great communication during the whole process. They were able to push up my appointment by almost 4 weeks after our most recent wind storm that left my roof leaking. At the end of the job they even cleaned my gutters. My roof has never looked so good, I can't recommend them enough.

I recently had my roof and gutters replaced, and my house repainted. Oliver Herrera followed the project with close attention to detail. They replaced rotting wood, cut more roof vents to prevent rotting and did a super job of it. The crews were very friendly and responsive to any question or request. I feel like my house was refurbished instead of just roofed and painted. So when your going out for bids, definitely make JLV one of them. You won't be sorry.

I'm really glad I chose JLV construction. I got a new roof, lots of siding repair (both lap and shakes), and exterior paint. It worked great having them to all three projects. They scheduled them one after the other, and they coordinated the interactions between projects. Kind of a a small item but a really nice gesture that they did was that we met to finalize the project and pay the deposit it was almost the last day of the month. I had the money in a high yield account so there was some pretty good interest coming if I kept it there until the end of the month. I asked if they could wait until the 1st to cash the check and they were totally on board with that. I felt like that was really great customer service and shows that they will go the extra mile.

My roof and gutter replacement started a day early and finished two days early! This also included a late add on request for painting the fascia. The crew was approachable and professional, cleaned up every day, and was very easy to work with. The rep, Oliver, was responsive throughout. Got referral from one of my neighbors, Asael was really professional and responsive to all our questions, had a great experience right from the first time he was here to take a look, provided estimates on time and project completion on time. they were upfront of all the possible additional costs in case they found plywood damages, so I knew what to expect and no surprises. JLV did a great job on our roof. We had a huge mold problem and they handled the whole thing perfectly. The people we had come in afterword to get rid of the rest of the mold said the roofers used really good materials and did a great job so its not just my opinion :)

We had a great experience with this company. We needed a small section of siding replaced and a few companies we contacted wouldn't do the project unless we redid siding on the whole house. They were reasonably priced, communicative, done in a day and they perfectly color-matched the rest of our house and cleaned up great afterward. They even left a gallon of excess paint for us when they finished. I'd definitely recommend this crew!

I had my siding replaced by Oliver and his crew in early Spring, Oliver and I talked about how inside my house I felt many cold drafts that wouldn't go away even with my working on the inside to plug and cover any I found. My walls were constantly cold and creating more cold in the rooms - very uncomfortable for my family to rest in.

Oliver and his crew opened up my old siding and they showed me where potential gaps and openings were that were allowing the cold air to enter my walls. After they put up the new siding, the cold walls felt warm! Finally! The leak was sealed off and now we feel much warmer (and now that it is summer, cooler) in our home!

The crew worked hard and they did a fantastic job. They cleaned up my yard for any metal nails or stakes so that my kids would be safe to run around outside again.

I am happy to trust JLV with any future roofing/siding issues for our home. They have proven to do great work, timely and willing to address any small details I bring up.

They were very easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and responsive to questions and concerns. When I first talked with them I did not know much about roofing or roof replacement. After I started learning more about what proper roofing practices were I would look at their bid and find they had specified the proper item and proper procedure, generally what is considered best practices for a roof install. The other bids usually had omissions or actually said the wrong things. This gave me confidence JLV knew what they were doing and treats their customers right. Their pricing was also competitive. They were not the cheapest but it was fair for what you got considering the materials used and the expertise. Lastly I like that they used Malarkey products and consistently to satisfy the correct requirements for the warranty.

I came to them for a "simple" roof repair before getting solar panels put in to find out the weather damage to my roof was pretty extensive. The team did a great job of letting me know what was going on and what it would take to address it, which I happily asked them to take care of. They fixed a ton of issues I wasn't aware of until they started to taking apart the old roof to discover a lot of leaks and seepage had happened.

Extra thanks to Juan who was my main my point of contact, he was quick to answer any questions I had and helped keep the project moving as more and more trouble was discovered.

We had our roof replaced by JLV. Oliver was very pleasant to work with, very knowledgeable, and very down to earth. He didn't try to push anything on us, but instead laid out options with their pros and cons. The offer came in within a day. Priced reasonably (not the cheapest, not the most expensive), clear timeline (they even called whether they could start a week early because of the good weather). The crew did a great job, cleaned up well, didn't damage anything. Oliver even came out a week after the job was finished to answer a question that I had. Great experience overall, would definitely hire JLV again.

We had a fanstastic experience with JLV. We were looking to do a full roof/gutter/paint job, and had shopped around with several companies. When JLV showed up to do the initial inspection and bid, we knew right away this was the company we were going to go with. They did a really thorough inspection, and really took extra time to show us what they noticed and what it would mean for the job. Way better energy than the other companies that we had bids from.

The job itself was superb. At the end of each day, the foreman would walk the site with us and summarize the day's progress and go over any concerns we might have. It was a great personal touch. The quality of work was excellent, and timely. We were super happy with the results, and we are very glad that we went with JLV.

We were new to Oregon and didn't know where to start, so we just started looking online and we happened upon JLV. Their bid was significantly quicker and better than the other three bids that we received, so we were skeptical; but after talking with Nephi, we were assured that they were legit and would do what we needed: new roof, skylights, and some repairs.
They had a crew of 10 on some days because they had to tear off cedar shingles and put down plywood on the few days of good weather. They were polite, knowledgeable, helpful--AND they cleaned up after themselves. Most importantly, the crew seemed to work with a lot of joy in their labor!

A couple years ago, we went through PURE HELL when a dishonest, ruthless former used car salesman turned "contractor" took our deposit, never completed the job and demanded the full amount of the remaining cost, leaving us with no option except hiring an attorney (please feel welcome to read my other reviews). We literally felt sick about anyone ever touching the house again. Thank you, JVL, for restoring our faith and giving us a breath of fresh air.

Another 5-star performance by JLV. A couple years ago I posted a 5 star review for roof work and skylight replacement on a portion of our 30-year old metal roof. At the end of the review I indicated I'd be callling JLV if we had future roofing/gutter needs. Indeed we did and JLV delivered outstanding service.

Ours is a challenging 30 year old metal roof with steep pitches and difficult angles. This time the work involved panel replacement and flashing installation around a chimney. Like the last time, Juan came out, assesed the situation and clearly communicated what should be done. Throughout the project, communication between the schedulers, project manager (Juan), the crew, and ourselves was seemless. We were particularly impressed with the skill of the crew doing intricate metal work, 2 stories up on a steep pitch.

Throughout both jobs, we always felt we were in excellent hands. We've been homeowners in multiple states over the last 30+ years and can say JLV is the best company we've ever worked with on any home repair/remodeling need. They're timely, efficient, communicative, responsive, and sklled. We feel blessed to have found them.
