This company provided a service for my elderly mother when a pine cone feel and broke the sun tunnel dome on her roof. They were doing work in the neighborhood, came over and looked inside to get a model number and product manufacturer name. I then tracked down the replacement doom and update kit which took a few minutes to install and had kit at the home for their tech to install. The total time was around 30 minutes for the two visits. The owner called me after my mother asked how much it would be. He told her he would talk to me. I live out of state. I asked him how much and he stated $350.00 dollars. I said I felt that was extremely high for the time spent. He than said, "What about $150.00?" I said that he has to charge what he charges and feels is fair. My mother then received an invoice and paid $250.00 for his services. I feel this is elderly abuse, he should have told her upfront what his rate and fee would be instead of taking the job on, being nice and then giving an 82 year old a outrageous bill. We are planning on having new roof installed this spring. We will NOT be using this company. Mike Shmilenko is a nice person over the phone but over charging our seniors is a poor business practice.
