Old Timer's is not currently capable of adding in more work. We had to wait 5.5 weeks from signing a contract to have our bad roof replaced. During that time we suspect additional damage has formed. It took 3 weeks to have a protective tarp placed. We also found a cigarette butt carelessly tossed in our yard after the work was performed. Their ability to schedule and communicate is extremely poor. I hardly know what's going on and have had a few surprises pop up that were unappreciated. This isn't 1 star because you can tell there is an effort to overcome some of these problems but right now they are in over their head. I wish I stayed with American Water Damage. My advice is to not use Old Timer's until they can get organized and are ready to take on any additional work. They have potential but right now it is not the place to go.

This was a matter of setting proper expectations. We were originally told it would be completed 3-4 weeks from signing the contract. That then got pushed to 4-5 weeks from signing. That was then moved to scheduling 4-5 weeks from signing. The process to have a tarp to prevent further damage consistently was overpromised and underdelivered. it required 2 weeks of followups. This time frame was not typical with other contractors I have worked with. The roof was done well. While we have continued to find bits and pieces here or there afterwards form the work it is part of the job and the work performed which is no issue for us. A cigarette, however, is not. As an aside, most of the time when a hair is found in a sandwich, for example, I would imagine most wouldn't expect the sub shop's response to be "only one?!"

The rating of 2 stars is a culmination of our total experience. My insurance company was the first to notify us that an additional $10,000 was being asked to be performed after I had requested a proforma 2 days prior that did not include that total which is rather confusing as a customer. This is especially true as the internal repair work hasn't been fully inspected. Scheduling this assessment portion has also been difficult.

As I said previously, Old Timer's has a lot of potential and I wish others a wonderful experience. It appears based on our experience that there are some growing pains for this relatively young company. As of now I can't reccomend until they have acquired some more maturity.
