Beautiful selection of plants and vegetables for this spring. I haven’t been in awhile and the store looks so great and inviting. Really like the new check out system and where you wait to check out! Helpful clerk at front checking us out.

A great hardware store with friendly and helpful staff. They also sell firearms and firearm accessories. There is also a section for boy-scout gear.

I am new to the Oak Harbor area; my experience at Oak Harbor Ace Hardware was exceptional. The knowledgeable staff works as a team to ensure optimal customer service. I want to give special accolades to one worker, Jacob. He was reliable and incredibly attentive. He diligently investigated to find what I required for my car and went above and beyond. I am a happy customer; thank you, Jacob!!!

Ace is still the place! I grew up in a small town, with a small local hardware store. I didn't know how spoiled I was until I moved to Seattle. I know there are knowledgeable people that work at most hardware stores, but can ALWAYS find them here at Oak Harbor Ace Hardware.

Only place in Oak Harbor to sell meat grinders! Didn't make it to Walmart. I didn't have to. A select few to choose from! I'm very happy, but I didn't have to mail order one! That leftover roast and potatoes are gonna make a yummy hash tonight!

So much more helpful than home depot. Ask an associate and they take u right there
May be smaller than hone depot but u can buy in smaller quantities from people with good advice.

A great local store, with good service, good selection, and reasonable prices. People stand and visit with neighbors like an old country store.

I don't care what you need always always go to Ace first. What ever your needs are you can find professional help there.

Went to return a quart of minwax stain. I purchased from them in October and Jo was the one at the register, she asked for a receipt and i told her i had misplaced it. The can was obviously unopened and not tampered with. I explained that i just didn’t end up using it and would be totally okay with a store credit. Jo called for an associate in the paint department to confirm they sold this brand and the stain color. She checked and paint associate brought up the same brand but a different stain, and said sorry we don’t carry the one you’re trying to return. I informed them that she brought up a different color than the one I’m trying to return and she walked away. Jo a minute later then slides the stain can to me and said she can’t do the return since they don’t sell it. I pulled it up on aces website and to show otherwise and asked for a manager. It was very frustrating that from the beginning I felt like Jo was treating me like a thief. I get that retail theft is a thing, it’s a $13 can of stain and I was perfectly happy with just store credit. Tammy was the manager who helped me and I truly hope the next time i shop there that Jo is not on that shift or she has a better attitude.

James at the repair desk went above and beyond looking at my ancient Stihl 170 chainsaw to see if it was worth repairing after I dropped it about 20 feet. Amazing customer service. I bought a new saw from him - he suggested an upgrade to the 171 and I took it. Great saw! I was highly impressed with the sales experience - he took me through all the operations of the saw and even put gas and oil in it and started it up just outside the shop. I've NEVER had that type of service before.

Colleen and Art knock my socks off with the help they provide there at Ace/True Value. Their knowledge and urge to assist is remarkable. Consider that the overall piece count of inventory must easily be in the range of 7 or perhaps eight digits yet as you walk through the aisles there I believe Art and Colleen could sleep walk you to any part/piece/tool/device in the store you are searching for!! They and the rest of the staff are brilliant. Helpful, kind, non judgemental, warm and friendly as the morning sun. I have been impressed every single visit. It is truly an Island Treasure. Support them and we can keep that treasure here on the island!!!

Great place. Not like any Ace I have seen. Very well stocked and they had guns and ammo section. Very cool.

Friendly staff. If they don't have something, they'll check their computer inventories. Huge selection of canning supplies. They also have meat curing, grinders, and butcher wrap.

Pretty good place. Very good place for finding screws and bolts that are rare. Just don't like the hours. Closes kinda early.

I will gladly pay an extra dollar or two here than the big box store up the street. The custom service, combined knowledge of the staff, and their friendly attitude is more than enough for me. I only wish they hadn’t gotten rid of some of their hardware selection when they reorganized the store! Overall, great place to shop!

I ordered online for pick up and it went very smooth. Staff at the store are always super nice and helpful.

Went to grand reopening where they have extended most areas. Garden, hobby, clothing, plumbing, we're the biggest expansions. Sporting goods was a little more expanded. Overall, I liked the new looks

First I went to home Depot, they had clerks from so many other Stores in Washington. And yet no one could help me.
So I called my wife and she suggested I go to Ace. The clerks were so helpful and even on my own it was way easier to find items that were easy to find.
Way to go ACE!
