Very pleased with this company. Nick was super attentive to our needs and really good at communicating. Everything was done in a timely manner. I’m so glad I finally found a company who could fix the plaster in our home! A lot of homes in Maryville have plaster but it seems no one knows how to fix it when you’ve had a roof leak! I will be back for future work.

We had two jobs completed - porch screen replaced and new windows installed. Nick, owner, was prompt with site evaluation, estimate and time frames for job completion. Work crew was on time, professional and cleaned work site each day before leaving. Extremely pleased and would highly recommend.

We had a screened in porch with retractable screens that were completely gone due to age and salt corrosion. We used our porch whenever we could. Nick suggested replacing the screens with huge glass sliders that stacked back on each other. We trusted Nick but really had no idea. The results are stunning. We installed heaters and inside mount screens/blinds. We now use the porch all year. We love it. Can’t recommend NorthStar’s work enough!

Nick and team did an amazing job renovating our kitchen, bathroom, replacing multiple porches and built an amazing widows watch. We have been thoroughly impressed with the attention of detail and the design. We trusted the team so much, Nick picked out all the lighting, fixtures, finishings, etc., and did an amazing job. We are very happy with the work done by NorthStar Renovations. They provided us with a very thorough estimate to repair our back deck. Nick and his crew of men arrived exactly when they said they would at 730am, and were hard at work the entire day. They communicated with us through the entire process, and maintained a very clean work area. The final product is exceptional…an extremely sturdy deck with strong railings. We are very pleased and appreciate their professionalism.

We needed a front door reinstalled and painted properly. Nick came highly recommended as the one who would get it done right!

Forgive me but this a long review. "Nice guy, does good work" doesn't really help much if you are looking for a contractor. It's the details that matter. We had to find a new contractor after our previous one blew town half way through the job to return to his home state. Couldn't have picked a worse time to look for a contractor. Mid 2021 when everyone was booked up for months. When I called the office Erin (office manager) promptly arranged a time for Nick, the owner, to come out and look at the job. He showed up and quickly developed an estimate for me. Super nice, personable guy, easy to get along with. We did have to wait a while for him to start. He was booked up way ahead, a testament to the quality of the work I suspect. When they did start, his crews were efficient, pleasant, respectful of the property and did high quality work. The job is finished now and we couldn't be more pleased. Reward for our patience. Erin is excellent at keeping the clients informed of who is arriving when, so that you aren't left wondering. Overall the best construction experience we have had in 40 years (built 2 houses, remodeled 3 houses), You couldn't do better.

Nick and crew at NorthStar recently installed new double exterior front doors at my home. The doors were larger than the opening because of the age of the house so they had some extra prep work to do. Also installed board & baton and new porch light fixtures where there were none. Showed up early, left everything clean and tidy and finished the job in two days. Looks GREAT and we are so pleased with them. Thanks for a job well done!

Nick and the entire team at Northstar were absolutely excellent in our kitchen remodel. He worked with us closely and patiently as we selected the proper materials for our kitchen. The work started on time and the communication was excellent throughout.

Nick was great to work with while remodeling our kitchen. He had several good ideas that we had not considered when trying to configure the layout of our kitchen. Erin, his office manager, and Nick always kept me updated on what time they would arrive and what they were going to do that day. The guys that work for him are hard working and honest. I would definitely use them again for any of our remodeling projects.

We had sagging floors in our kitchen and after a inspection the problem was a lot worse than we thought. Nick and his crew were amazing . Conscientious and professional, courteous, friendly. Just an amazing work ethic. We were always kept up to date on the progress and the timeframe. They were fast and efficient. They finished a job that had been originally quoted to us as a three week timeframe and Nick and his crew completed it in three days which is unbelievable knowing how much work that was needed .I highly recommend Northstar Renovations they do fantastic quality work.

We hired Nick to remove a wall, completely remodel our kitchen/dining area and add a pantry during the pandemic. Despite delays, shortages and challenges, Nick got the job done with enthusiasm, professionalism, and flexibility. He brought our vision to life within our budget, showed up on time with a positive attitude, responded to questions and requests promptly, and did a FANTASTIC job! Nick's our go to guy for all future projects!

Nick and his team are simply the best which is why we always call them we have a home improvement project. Our latest project was pretty big where we turned our second bathroom into an en suite, added a third bathroom, added a new closet, renovated our laundry room and gym, built a garbage can enclosure and then had Nick’s team frame in a wine cellar. They didn’t bat an eye with the numerous change orders or the sudden surprises behind the old drywall. Every day the team cleaned up and every morning they showed up on time. We will continue to use Nick and NorthStar for every project we do in the future. Again, they are simply the best!!!

We hired Nick and team to repair and make our condo livable again for our tenant. I wish working with other contractors was as pleasant as it is with Nick. Everything was done over the phone as we live 6hrs away. We had photos from the start to the finish line and great communication along the way. In the process of selling my home I needed work done on the exterior of the house. Nick and his assistant were able to do a clean, timely repair, and replacement of fascia boards. If I ever need contractors assistance again, he would be the first I would call, and never look back. I highly recommend North Star Renovations.

I knew that Nick was the right person for the job as soon as I met him and wasn’t disappointed. He completed remodeling work in 2 bathrooms and some electrical work and some installation work in my kitchen. Nick is friendly, polite and was very responsive every time I contacted him. There were a few challenges and he addressed and resolved them all. He will definitely be our go to guy here in South Carolina.

Nick and his crew are awesome! Toilet leak lead to a rotted floor. Nick's crew fixed the floor, laid new tile, replaced the tub and vanity. Great, clean job. Not the cheapest guy out there but you get what you pay for. No issues at all since Northstar fixed my bathroom. They left my home clean. No issues. I am hiring them again for additional work. One of the most honest contractors in the Grand Strand area!!!

Nick and his team did a fantastic job on our shower remodel. Nick was thorough, communicated clearly and kept things moving. He was also flexible with timing. The finished product is beautiful.

Nick and his crew did two separate jobs for us. The first involved replacing the entire front of our house and deck due to wood rot. They replaced everything right down to the studs and repainted everything. This was a raised two story beach house in August. Work was first rate and done on time. Job site was cleaned every night. They also worked closely with our insurance company to make sure everything was covered. The second job was smaller, covering a tray ceiling with one made of tin tiles. Once again, job was timely and looked great. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Nick and crew turned a three sliding glass door siding covered and screened door sunroom with vinyl windows into a showplace, one French door instead of three sliding doors, real glass windows instead of vinyl. sheetrock walls and a real metal outside door instead of a screened door. They even washed the new windows and scrubbed the floor. All on time and on budget. I would highly recommend NorthStar Renovations to anyone who wants a professional remodeling job.

We contacted Nick at Northstar for an estimate on a renovation job at our home. He arrived on time and was thorough when reviewing the items we needed completed, his quote for the job was priced well and while we didn't go with Northstar at this time, we are definitely using them on future renovations that we have scheduled.
