On Friday 4/8/19 I called NorthStar because I had water leaking in my upstairs bedroom. This company had installed the roof in 2010, and it had a 20 year warranty. A rep came out the following Monday to take a look at the issue. The person that came out Monday morning (Kirk I believe) stated the leaking was coming from around the stove pipe, and that wasn't a roofing issue, I needed to call a different vendor. I thanked him for his time, and attempted to call someone else. Then, I reviewed the contract again, and it states "All flashings included, gables, eve, chimney metal and ridge cap."

I called Tom (owner) again and asked him to take another look at the contract (I sent him a copy) and he said "ok we will honor replacing the stove pipe flashing at no charge. Please call the office first thing in the morning and we will get you on the schedule as soon as possible". I called first thing the next day to inquire when this would be done, and was told she would get back to me.

I haven't heard from them since, despite two follow up phone calls I made to find out when this would be scheduled. My roof is actively leaking. It's disappointing they won't honor the warranty. I suspect they didn't replace the flashing in 2010 as the contract stated. I have included photos of the flashing from outside, from inside where the leak is, and a photo of the original contract (with personal information redacted).

Northstar Restorations Inc was great to work with! Ali’s communication and scheduling was professional and friendly. Antonio was also very helpful and professional when out to help us with our attic ventilation options after mold remediation was performed. All options were discussed and estimate upheld! Would definitely recommend. Will call them for any future work needed!

We ended up going with a full metal roof installation, as they were really cost competitive + have a great reputation. The crew was top notch! They worked long days, were very professional, + had excellent attention to detail. They finished ahead of schedule, completely cleaned up the job site, + our metal roof looks absolutely perfect.
