Do NOT hire — unfinished electrical, backwards flooring, and stolen tools

I had a terrible experience with Northeast Florida Handyman and strongly recommend avoiding them. I hired them for what should have been straightforward flooring and electrical work. What I got instead was a mess:

Flooring: The tiles were literally installed backwards. Not only does it look completely wrong, but it also affects the integrity of the installation. Any experienced contractor would know this is a basic mistake. It’s clear they didn’t care or didn’t know what they were doing. To make matters worse, edges were left unfinished and uneven.

Electrical work: Several outlets were left partially installed, with exposed wires — a serious safety hazard. Some of the switch plates were crooked, and I later found out certain connections weren’t even up to code.

Stolen tools: After this crew was on-site, tools belonging to another contractor went missing. I later saw others in the community warning about similar experiences with them. It’s beyond unprofessional — it’s theft.

Between the careless workmanship and the questionable behavior, this was a complete disaster. Save yourself the headache and hire a licensed, reputable contractor instead.

The guys were great. It took some time for them to find my leak but they didn't give up., and was willing to complete the task before them. I really appreciate the service they gave me. I would recommend them to anyone.
