A few years ago, after a severe windstorm caused widespread roof damage in our area, I had the pleasure of working with Northstar to install a new roof. Robert, who managed the project, was exceptionally good to work with. He was always on the spot, ensuring that everything was completed to my satisfaction. The job was done efficiently and expertly, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.

However, I had an issue when an electrician and his roofer installed an attic fan, which resulted in a roof leak and damage inside my home. Faced with this problem, I turned to Robert once again. He promptly sent two gentlemen to address the situation. These individuals were not only skilled but also incredibly professional and courteous. They fixed the issue, restoring my home and my peace of mind.

I had several other contractors come out to give me an estimate, and did not like their price nor there demeanor. Did some more research, and found Robert who came out right away, gave me a fair and reasonable estimate. Robert was very pleasant and honest. To date we have had him replace our roof twice, due to storm damage, and because we were impressed with the work done and his employees, we also had him replace our siding and trim on our home. From Robert down to his exceptional employees who showed professionalism and excellence, we are thrilled and happy with all the work they have done. Pleasantly surprised that there is still a company with morals and ethics in this day and age. Thanks again, Robert!

NorthStar Roofing did an excellent job on our whole house roof. They were recommended by friends and neighbors and did not disappoint. Every step of the job was explained by Robert and completed to our satisfaction. The Owens Corning Duration shingles are beautiful. The crew was hardworking and respectful. Cleanup was perfect. This company is 5 Star from the owner to the crews and workmanship. They did every step of the process at a level that you understand fully during the project. Had 3 buildings on site to replace,2 story house ,Detached Garage and a out building. All replaced and cleaned up in 2 days start to finish. My yard looked cleaner after then before they started. This company and work force are AWESOME! They were recommended to me by my neighbor or who I trust fully, and they did not disappoint. They did my roof and deck all in the same week and gave a great price. The craftmanship was second to none and even went above and beyond contract work by replacing a few boards and painting that was not in the contract but did it anyway (free of charge) because they knew it was the right thing to do to guarantee craftmanship. I was especially impressed by how often he came to the job site to check on the work and ensure everything was being done correctly. Northside Roofing was quick in providing an very fair and competitive estimate on replacing the roof on the house I recently purchased. The estimate was provided with a full sample of available shingles I could choose from. The company provided a date and time for when they would be available to complete the work, and as agreed upon, the crew arrived on the date and at the time despite the windy, cold conditions. The crew was meticulous in covering all shrubbery before starting, and when finished with replacing the roof (by mid afternoon), the yard was cleaned of all evidence they had been there. Needless to say, Very pleased with the completed job, and the professionalism shown by the whole team, from the boss/owner that supervised, to the hard working guys on the roof, who did their job like they enjoyed their work. I can't recommend any company better!!

As probably with most, I had not planned or prepared myself for a new roof. North Star Roofing was wonderful in helping me through this. Robert was great to work with; he and the various crews were very accommodating. They were very straight forward in providing me an estimate and answering my questions to understand my needs. There was no sales pressure or other poor practices, which I was receiving from other competitor. I really felt they listened and focused on my needs. I ended up having both my roof and siding done, and I was extremely pleased with how quick and efficient the workers were able to perform the jobs. Everyone was very professional and respectful. I am very happy with the results. I feel that they are someone you can trust, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Robert came out promptly and gave a fair estimate, when I decided to have him do the job everything was done as promised the crew was very good and made sure they cleaned up everyday, when they were done Robert came out and double checked to make sure everything was done right and cleaned up.
Would definitely use them again if needed.

Called for an estimate and they were available within a few days to inspect my roof. The estimates included a comprehensive list of the services offered, including multiple options and recommended ways forward for the repairs. Several months went by before asking to perform the work, but they were still more than willing to do the work and scheduled the repairs less than a week from the time I called back. They arrived early and performed the work quickly and efficiently. They were accommodating in payment method and very responsive on the phone. Highly recommend for anyone looking for roof repair in the greater Fredericksburg area.

The team at North Star just left my home completing roof and gutter replacements and I could not be happier with the company I have chosen! From the beginning Robert was upfront, thorough with his explanations and fair in pricing. After having 7 different quotes and estimates, the North Star team was absolutely the best decision! My roof and gutters looks wonderful!!!

Used North Star to do three jobs: replace roofing, install new gutters and guards, and replace windows. I'm satisfied with the end result. Robert and I maintained contact via text to let me know when a phase of the job was going to start or would be delayed in fact. Delays I speak of were mainly due to production chain waiting for windows to be custom built and delivered. Covid has delayed everything as we know. Price was a bit higher compared to other quotes I obtained by a few grand but I went with Robert because he came across as someone who takes ownership of his jobs and does quality work and takes pride in his work. They're decades in the business and this was a factor when I chose his company. From the beginning he explained each detail of the job and gave me a proper estimate I could rely on. The price I paid was what he quoted me as well. As an example of his professionalism, at the end of the jobs they pointed out issues with the windows meshes. After completing the installation Robert took the time to replace the meshes we both identified needed replacement. And he and his crew did a very good job of cleaning up nails and screws and other rubbish from the various jobs. The house looks really good, I'm relieved and expect these improvements will endure with time. I plan to use them in the future to replace the vynl siding as well. I definitely recommend this company.

North Star Roofing and Siding replaced my 3,000 square foot, 14-year-old roof on 02 Jun 2021. They did a FANTASTIC job, and under budget! The NS crew arrived at my residence at 7:15AM and completed the roof replacement by 1:18PM (about 6 hours). The NS crew was professional and worked very efficiently. North Star Roofing was great to work with. We got an estimate quickly and was by far the most reasonable. The crew showed up on time and was like a well oiled machine. Everyone had a job to do and they did it quickly and efficiently. This crew was one of the hardest working group of guys I've seen!! They tore off the old roof, installed 2 new sky lights, and installed the new roof in approximately 5 hours. The gutters were installed by a different crew with the same hardworking professionalism. Bob Gibson, the owner did our estimate, stayed on site for most of the day to make sure all was going well and if we had questions he was there to help us. What a great company!
