Our neighbor's leaky roof prompted me to have Nick inspect mine. I was impressed by his thoroughness. He was upfront about his $350 inspection fee, which I now consider well worth it. He recorded the inspection and provided a detailed 10-minute video explaining the moisture and leak locations. He also discovered mold, which we decided to address immediately. His service was so impressive that I didn't bother seeking additional quotes.

Nick presented me with a couple of options: repairing the leaks or replacing the entire roof. My situation was complicated because I live in a townhouse, and my next-door neighbor was unwilling to invest in proper repairs. Nick managed to find a solution to address only my section of the roof.

The work was initially estimated to take two days, but it extended to four, which was a reasonable. Due to rainy conditions, he avoided rushing the job to prevent water trapping between the roof layers. He also prioritized his workers' safety, as the roof was slippery and potentially dangerous. He didn't require an upfront deposit, which was a significant plus. He could have rushed the project to get paid quickly, but he didn't. Ultimately, my roof looks fantastic, and I'm a very satisfied customer. His quote was transparent, and the final invoice matched his estimate. Isn't it wonderful to find a trustworthy business with excellent craftsmanship and transparency?

Nick also provided referrals for mold treatment and painting services, making the process much easier for me.

In 2022, NGB Roofing discovered and corrected a potential problem we had with our roof. It was a great experience. I was so impressed that when we moved in 2023, I kept only one business card for construction and home repair services: NGB Roofing. In 2025, we called NGB to fix problems with our new house, and again we had a great experience. My 10 year old roof had plastic roof vents which had cracks in them. I shopped around many roofers to replace these vents. NGB roofing was the best in terms of the quality of the work and the price.

We had a drip at the corner of a skylight. Nick was quick, thorough and considerate while checking it out and kept us informed. His estimate was the price charged. In the end a quick repair was all that was needed but a friend had a full roof replacement done by NGB Roofing.

We had a leak that needed to be addressed without repalcing the roof since we have an addition planned in the next 3 months. Nick was great and addressed the issue quickly without tyring to convince us to replace a roof that will need to be torn up for the addition. Everyone else we had reached out to couldn't be bothered with a small fix.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND NGB ROOFING! Due to a death in the family, I recently found myself in the unfortunate position of being in charge of handling repairs for a family home that has been neglected in recent years. I live out of state making the whole situation even more difficult. During a home inspection for a potential sale of the property, extensive mold was found in the attic. The mold remediation company required the roof be checked and repairs made prior to remediation work taking place. I called a few roofing companies in the local area and none could or would do the job... either I couldn't get a call back or the companies wouldn't do roof inspections and/or minor repairs (only full roof replacements). In a bit of desperation, I called NGB Roofing on recommendation of the mold remediation company. I didn't have much hope because NGB Roofing is not in the local area of our family home, but I thought I'd at least ask. Even though Nick is located more than an hour south than our family home, he was willing to come out and take a look within one day! He made an honest assessment of recommended work with a total cost that was very reasonable. He even called the mold remediation company to double-check repair items, ensuring between the two of them, all items would be completed properly. Nick made the long trip north again, this time with a work partner, and the two of them completed the work prior to the mold remediation company... just as needed and promised. His work was very good and he sent me many photos (before and after). Nick explains everything in detail and is happy to entertain questions. He genuinely cares about customers and prides himself in doing things right. His prices are reasonable, too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

NGB Roofing replaced my aging leaky roof at Edmonds on March 2024. Nick showed attention to details during estimation, provided valuable suggestion, made improvements, not replacing what isn't broken. Nick and his team were responsive and attentive to care for some minor issues in unpredictable spring weather. Nick even took time to cleaned up debris left on the roof by contractor from other company. I would say he took care of my roof like his own. The completed new roof and gutter looks great!

When we found out it was not a roof leak instead of passing it out to the next guy. He stayed and helped me locate the plumbing leak that was hidden behind furnance. We had a leak in our roof and contacted Nick about roof repairs based on great reviews. He responded right away and fit us into his busy schedule. We were really grateful for his help on such short notice. He went above and beyond in his work, not just fixing the problem at hand but also doing a full roof inspection, identifying other soon-to-be leaks and other issues and ultimately fixed more things than we ever expected him to fix. If you are looking to have any work done with respect to your roof, Nick is the only one you need to know about. I had to get a new roof installed with skylights. Nick went above and beyond during the process. He explained everything in detail which was very important to us. While working on the roof he encountered many issues such as a rat nest, rotting plywood and bad attic circulation. He fixed up everything in such a way that till today I don't have a rodent problem in the attic as supported by my pesticide guy.

Everything was done to perfection using innovative techniques. People who walk by my house specifically ask who did my roof because it looks spectacular. Just to add a cherry to the cake he is a wonderful person, polite and intelligent. Furthermore, some person dumped a bed in the driveway in our absence and Nick immediately took care of it.

Don't go anywhere else to get your roof fixed but here. There are many scam companies out there that will charge you double the rate and not be able to get anything done. NGB roofing is the way to go.

I had a few leaks on my 90 year old brick house. Nick never rushed me as he explained the potential issues we might face with locating the leak. I spoke with Nick over the phone to explain my situation. During his busy schedule he took the time to go over to the property to access the situation. I can't say enough good things about Nick! We have some windows we need replaced that required a roofer and within 5 minutes of a phone call he had me send him photos so he could decide if he could do it. He was over within a few days and also hopped on our roof to look it over in case anything needed repairing. We have to push out getting the windows taken care of until spring most likely but he's built a loyal client in us! We're doing work on our kitchen and he gave us tips on hiring a contractor and looked up some important info for us to be aware of too. He's the definition of above and beyond and we couldn't be more impressed!

Used NGB Roofing for my first roof replacement and couldn't be happier with the finished product. Prior to installation, Nick came out and did an inspection and pointed out all the faults not only on decking and shingles but also the attic vents, chimney, gutters, downspouts, kitchen/bathroom vents, as well. He was very thorough and took the time to explain the technicalities that even someone who doesn't understand how a roofing system works (such as myself) could follow.

When it came time to do the roof replacement, his crew arrived on time and finished a whole day earlier than expected. After each day, they were thorough in cleaning up any leftover debris. I also mentioned the kitchen vent sounded like it had debris stuck in it from the tear down as our oven range fan had a rattling sound that came out of it when we turned it on and Nick quickly investigated and cleared the debris.

Overall I'm very pleased with the handsome looking roof, gutters, and customer service that NGB crew provided.

Nick from NGB did a most professional inspection of the roof. Many roofers will not perform a comprehensive inspection alone without the prospect of a roof replacement because that where the big profit comes from in roofing. However, if a roofer is passionate about his profession and believes in providing a service, a quality that is hard to find these days in the service sector, then the inspection should be part of what roofers should offer. Nick did that to the utmost. He is knowledgeable (just plain smart), courteous, prepared, meticulous, willing to scale a tall house, and patient about documenting what he found including providing pictures. He will also explain what is minor versus major, ideal versus mandatory. Importantly, the customer learns enormously from him as we should about our homes. I would say that he is one of the most professional and capable home improvement service providers, not just in roofing, I have met. Working with him is like working with someone who treats the customer like a VIP. He really goes beyond the standard.

On March 12th 2021, NGB installed my new roof. The whole job only took 9 hours. Small roof nothing special.
Today I found another roofing nail at the far end of my gravel driveway, at least 50 feet from the nearest work. This one finally prompted my review.
While Nick is very friendly and my roof will last 30 years if I take proper care of it, the negatives have added up.
First and foremost being a vent pipe boot they installed that was too short. Instead of cutting 6" off the pipe for a proper fit, they installed an automotive hose clamp with a massive amount of caulking to cobble it together. I showed this to Nick and got no resolution. I later had to open the wall up and cut 6" of the pipe off so the boot now fits properly and is no longer an eye soar.
Second- the ridge cap installed looks less substantial than one you might see on a cheap old 3-tab roof.
For over 10 grand I really did expect higher quality on this small roof.
Third- for some unknown reason they spray painted a stainless steal gas vent with a very light coat of flat black paint. Now I will either need to maintain or replace it.
Finally- the number of nails I have found in my gravel driveway and looks like will continue to find is just too great. Several dozen and counting. No joke

Nick came to check for small leaking problem with our roof and he really deserves the good reviews. My husband is a retired contractor and was impressed with his honesty and knowledge. Prompt, capable, personable, skilled and we recommend him highly. He repaired the damage the same day and we will call when we need to replace our roof in the future as his pricing is equitable.

Very responsive, was actually able to come over the next day and follow up on reports of a shingle that blew off at a rental property. He found a vent cap that came off, and replaced that and addressed other issues on the spot. When a new went came down I the attic, Nick came back and fixed promptly. Easy to work with.

In advance of our roof replacement project, I did a fair amount of research and talked to 7 different companies as we honed in on who we wanted to work with. From the start Nick was very professional and I really liked his direct, no nonsense approach.

We chose NGB Roofing for our project because I felt most comfortable with him. His bid was not the cheapest but I felt more comfortable with his bid and the interaction we had when he came to bid our job showed that he not only cared about the quality of his work but that the customer knew what they were getting and that in the end, the job would be done the right way.

Nick and his crew went the extra mile to make our project a success. They did a custom water routing solution to work around an oddly placed skylight and took extra steps all along the way (including painting the vents to match the material we chose and did a comprehensive clean-up every day after the work).

When I called, the owner "Nick" answered. I had a roof leak where my old stove flue was. Fortunately, he was able to come same day and take a look. He told me his charge to come out and take a look and that charge would be counted toward the cost of repair if I had him do the work. That was what happen! When we climbed into the attic, he pointed out other things that needed attention and offered up maintenance pointers for things I should be attentive to. Nick and his crew installed a brand new roof on our house in August of 2019. They were a joy to have around then and the roof they installed turned out great. The roof has now been through a winter and a half and is still good as new.

It was a smaller job for sure, and he fit it into his schedule on the weekend, worked in the cold into the night, added one of my scuppers into the job for no extra charge, AND gave me a list of supplies to fix my downspouts myself to save money. My wife and I - already moved out of state - were in the process of getting ready to sell our older Edmonds home. Our realtor was concerned about the state of some shingles up against our sunroom, and after trying several businesses, got Nick to come to look at the roof. After checking the shingles, Nick determined the 20+ year old roof needed replacement; this just days before the house was due to go on the market.

Nick squeezed us in during some of his busiest time and got the roof replaced quickly so the house would be ready for market. Talking to him on the phone, he's not only professional, but very friendly and engaging.

Side note: It turns out Nick had also done our next door neighbor's house a year or two ago. My wife had mentioned then how quickly they worked and what a good job they did.

Nick is very straight forward, tells you exactly what you need to know and won’t encourage you to make un-needed repairs/replacements. He came out to my house the day after I called him and looked at our roof that I thought would need replacing. Nick looked over the whole roof and suggested some spots to repair but told us the roof itself would easily last a few more years. I appreciate his being up front and honest in his opinions. While conducting the roof inspection he even noticed some spots around our skylights that needed sealing, so he did that while he was here too. Nick is an amazing roofer. I was impressed with him right off the bat. He spent several hours with us on the first day just looking over my roof and explaining every detail--from the problems with my current roof to all the methods he goes through to ensure his roofs are of the highest quality possible (which other roofers didn't do). He doesn't just state what he will do but he takes the time to explain the method and the "why" behind it. This built trust for me right from the start. I was astonished at all the tiny details he noticed and the degree he goes through to ensure his roofs will stand the test of time. He even spotted a tiny bee hive that was just starting on the side of my house, which he ended up removing for me (free of charge) later on. Not only did Nick give me his time on that first day, but he was available, responsive, and patient in answering any and ALL questions I had throughout the entire process. He was frank with me in his responses and gave me straight up, honest answers I knew I could trust. He is incredibly meticulous and takes great pride in his work, as well as the work of those on his team. Everyone was professional, diligent, and thorough. Nick sent me pictures throughout the process and made sure to stay in constant communication with me. I can now rest easy knowing that I have a good, solid roof over my head. If I am ever in need of a roofing project in the future, I will definitely call Nick and will recommend him to anyone I know, without hesitation.

Nick, the owner of the business, came out and offered same day service for an immediate roof repair situation last week. He was on time, friendly, professional, wore a mask and explained everything going on. He returned the next day on time and went to work repairing my roof. He then actually did a side fence repair for me caused by the raccoon bandits tearing up my property too just to help me out. I couldn’t recommend him more for your roofing needs. Five stars all around.

Nick and his guys just finished up with the second roof I've had them do. They are easy to work with and do fantastic work. This last roof was steep and high, and they made it look easy. I highly recommend these guys.

I highly recommend NGB Roofing. The owner of the company came right out to inspect my roof upon there being rain in my kitchen. He spent an extensive amount of time showing me all the issues with my roof (from another roofer) and putting in a temporary patch. I then contracted the company to replace my roof. They did such a great job - super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful - never left a mess and the owner came out every day to do a final inspection and take pictures for me of the progress. I was grateful that they were able to fit me in before the torrential rains hit!. Even the roofing store highly recommended them!

This is the second time I use this company. My garage started to leak again after the sudden downpour couple weeks ago. Nick responded fast. We had an off and on leak in our laundry room ceiling that was starting to get worse. I suspected I knew the cause but was not able to fix it myself. I called Nick to get an estimate and he was able to come over within an hour of my phone call. I climbed on the roof with him and he pointed out where he thought the issue was, which was not where I thought it was. Good reason to hire a professional! He then looked at the rest of my roof and pointed out several other areas where flashing and roofing details had been poorly installed and were going to cause me headaches if I did not have them addressed. I figured this was an attempt to get me to pay for more services. To my pleasant surprise his estimate to fix all of these areas was about what I had expected to just fix the one issue! His estimate also included fixing an area on a separate structure in my backyard where a large branch had penetrated the ceiling a couple of years ago. I had just put ice and water shield over it and called it good. He was back within a week to do the work. Since I did not go on the roof to check anything he took photos of every area they repaired and sent them to me for my records. Truly above and beyond any level of service I was expecting. I would not hesitate to recommend Nick and NGB Roofing for any type of roofing project.

NGB Roofing was amazing to work with. They were professional and pleasant throughout the entire process from estimate to post inspection. The estimate included both best and worst case information. Although we hoped for best case, we encountered some issues with our garage roofing project. Nick kept us apprised at every step and gave us our options. His workers were responsible and cleaned up every night. They came every morning on time, and worked all day diligently until the project was completed. When the project was completed they took a magnet to the driveway to ensure there were no screws or nails left to puncture our tires. Nick came and did a post inspection to make sure we were satisfied with the work and be sure it was done to his satisfaction. They were incredible to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend them, and will be using them again for our house roof come spring!

Nick just replaced my roof and did a gutter conversion from gutters built with a dip in the actual roof (which is terrible with cedar trees) and changed out roof to be straight pitched with normal gutters. He used his many great contacts to make all the other things that come with a new roof easy for me, he scheduled painting and mason work for me and was all around great to work with, honest and straightforward about my roof issues and what he could and could not do with expertise. He had great people working for him who were very hard working with great attention to detail. He has all 5 star reviews on Yelp for a reason. I highly recommend Nick and NGB Roofing when your time comes!

Cut to three years later and a large tree branch fell and made a hole in the roof and within hours of me texting Nick he scheduled a time the next morning to come put a temporary patch on and then had it completely fixed in 48 hours! It’s so nice to have a person who will be available and happy to help for the life of the fantastic roof he and his amazing team installed!! I cannot recommend Nick and NGB roofing high enough. You will be so glad you chose them for all your roofing needs!!
