This was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. The car they gave me had cockroaches inside—yes, actual roaches crawling around while I was driving. Completely disgusting.

On top of that, the car was dirty, smelled bad, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned at all. The horn didn’t even work, which is a basic safety feature. How is a car like that even being rented out?

When I told the staff, they didn’t seem to care. No apology, no solution—just attitude and zero professionalism.

I would never rent from this place again. It’s gross, unsafe, and the service was horrible. Avoid it if you can.

I rented a car from Priceless/NextCar in San Juan through Priceline.com. Despite the rental being 'paid in full' via Priceline.com, I was charged an additional $61 at the counter to actually get the car. As with others, I was asked to pay a deposit of $250 which as of today, 72 days after the car was returned, has not been returned to me. Further, they took my copy of the rental agreement upon return and when I asked for a photo copy, they said they couldn't do that and by that point, I was nearly late for my departing flight. This company appears to operate on theft of deposits and adding illegal fees. Avoid this scam operation.

They waz really friendly but had too many hidden feelings and the car was not well kept the first car they gave me smell like a ashtray and didn't have no horn the second car they have me had tire problems but all and all it wasn't that bad

These people are scammers DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT rent from them even if it’s from Priceline. I rented from them 5 months ago thru Priceline which was supposed to be almost $400 dollars when I got there they didn’t use my reservation thru Priceline they created a whole new one. Charged me almost $900 dollars they said they will return my deposit of $267 dollars which they never did. I even returned the car a day before. I reached out to them they were nasty on the phone didn’t care and hung up the phone multiple times stating they can’t help me. I’ve been back and forth with them thru email which all they been saying is I understand your frustration and we apologize we are looking into this matter. I’m tired of them saying the same thing and nothing being done all I want is my deposit back. It shouldn’t take 5 months to return a deposit and still waiting. At this point I’m done going back and forth I’m taking legal actions against this rental company. And I don’t want you to write on my review your sorry this happened and to contact you because I’m not I’ve contacted ya multiple times with no resolution.

We rented a car in March 2025. I have been calling since then and it is now the end of July 2025 and we still have not received my $250 security deposit. Every time I call, they say it’s still pending and they see the claim. They transfer me to another department, they don’t answer and I leave a message. Still no response. Worst car rental experience ever. 10/10 don’t recommend renting from here until they get a better system.

Fatal quise darles una segunda oportunidad y fue lo peor que pude hacer tras que los precios son engañosos y terminaron cobrándome muchísimos más, siempre tiene a una sola persona para atender todo, los autos no son para nada bien cuidados, los entregan sucios y con mal olor para colmo ya va un mes que rente y todavía no me devuelven el depósito de $250 que están supuestos a devolver

My mom returned her rental in February 2025 and they still have not returned her deposit they have been giving her the run around through the phone and email. There excuse is a system error that they have not bothered to rectify keeping $250 of my mother hard earn money. If this is how they do business please avoid this place. Nothing ruins a vacation or a good time than having to fight or argue about money that is owed to you...

Avoid Next Car Rental in Puerto Rico—1st. Vehicle was extremely dirty and with mechanical issues had to come back next day to get a replacement. 2nd. vehicle was filthy and roach-infested since first day, (had a video of the roaches inside but here only have the option to post a picture), and the worst part is the i notify the staff about the roaches and the even mentioned before I finish the phrase they are aware but their reaction looks like they dont care. Expect extra charges like tolls fee per day and daily car insurance, you CAN'T use your personal car insane if you personal vehicles are older than 5 years. Horrible customer service and zero accountability. Disgusting experience. Do not rent from them!

La peor experiencia que he tenido en PR desde las actitudes de los empleados hasta el servicio del auto, hice una reservación por Expedia para rentar un auto por 48 hrs 7/24-7/25 y cuando llego al counter hubieron cargos adicionales que ni siquiera la empleada supo explicar, simplemente contesto eso te lo devuelven de un total de $190 me cobraron $272 mas $250 de deposito. El auto que me dieron parecía estar en buenas condiciones, sin embargo cuando comencé a manejar en el expreso PR-52 no podia guiar a una velocidad de mas de 40mph porque el carro se quería caer en cantos de camino a ponce cuando me detengo en Isabela tenia una goma con los alambres por fuera y comenzaban a parpadear todas las luces del dash. Llamo a notificarlo y me pidieron que volviera al lugar No pude ir inmediatamente porque tenía compromiso y estaba mas cerca de mi destino que de virar , mas lo lento que tenia que ir de Ponce a San Juan en pleno expreso Cuando llego le explico al joven que recibe los auto lo que le pasaba al auto y que necesitaba un cambio y con una mala actitud sin dejarme explicar me dijo tienes que ir adentro y por lo que tengo entendido no hay mas carros. Adentro una empleada de pelo negro con espejuelos amablemente le digo chica permiso sera que me puedes ayudar ? y con malas crianzas se dirige a un muchacho diciendo mira ayúdala tu sin ni siquiera preguntar o escuchar nada. Gracias a que el joven que si me atendió amablemente, le dijo chico necesito que me cambien en vehículo me dejo a pie en SALINAS tuve que llamar a asistencia de carreta porque la goma se vacío gracias a Dios que mi familia y yo llegamos seguros a nuestro destino. Me ayudo y me cambio el auto sin tener que esperar. Cuando salgo a buscar el auto el joven malcriado ni siquiera inspeccionó el auto le hago un video para mi propio beneficio y ayer cuando entro el auto 7/25/2025 a las 4:10pm que abro el baúl para asegurarme no dejar pertenencias, había un asiento de otro auto en el baúl ni los mismos muchachos podían creer que me había dado el auto así. Pésimo Pésimo Pésimo servicio. Pase el maltrato de la vida, perdí tiempo y energía de disfrutar el poco tiempo que tenia en PR, mientras yo y mi familia estuvo en riego por las condiciones del auto. Para los empleados si están aborrecidos no vallan al trabajo porque ustedes están para dar un buen servicio por eso se paga. Tengan empatía y amabilidad porque todos tenemos situaciones que desconocemos.

El peor servicio en car rental que haya tenido. Una hora y media de espera en una fila de solo 8 personas para entrega de tu auto, con 7 estaciones del servicio al cliente y solo una funcionando. De verdad que por uno ahorrarse algo termina peor. Lo barato sale caro

Very bad experience, to pick up the car and to deliver it, they didn't have employees to assist customers, almost 4 hours waiting for them to deliver the car and at the delivery there was no driver to take us to the airport, only one person collecting the cars and the same person to take us.

This has been the worst experience. I went through Priceline and had one reasonable price, only to receive over $500 in up charges. The hold they put on my credit card had been on hold since June 22 2025 today is July 21 2025. I was charged $79 dollars for tolls that I didn’t incur. I was given a dirty vehicle with no gas and the lady at customer service was extremely rude and kept handing up or sending me to a voicemail that didn’t work that would disconnect the call. I truly would not recommend

Mi experiencia con ellos fue fatal, 22-25 de junio tuve viaje, me cobraron online $127.00 cuando llegó a puerto Rico fueron 538.00$ todavía después de 16 dias todavía no me han devuelto el depósito, llamo me hicieron una reclamación y me enganchan en teléfono. Que tengo que esperar 15 - 30 días para que me devuelvan el depósito. No renten con esta compañía porque van a perder dinero. Y pagarán más de lo que indican online. Mucho más.

Highly DO NOT recommend booking a rental with this rental service (NextCar/Priceless). To preface, we did book through a 3rd party. We waited in line for almost 3 hours to get to the agent. For a good portion there was just one worker and slowly trickled more as time went but the line still barely moved. Took an hour and a half for one of the agents to say something regarding having all the documents ready before reaching the desk. My group had an issue where we miscalculated the dates of needing a rental and had to do a second booking. We were informed and had an agreement with one of the agents that it would be no issue with keeping the same car. We were informed to come back the next day to swap the contracts however once we got there and to a new agent. We were informed that the original rental booking was cancelled and we were not notified. The rental agency was not able to accommodate in any way. I’ve worked in customer services roles before and if something happened to the customers purchase and it’s not on their fault the company should be able to provide some leeway and not “you got to do a new booking with these rates”. Very unprofessional an unacceptable regardless if it’s through the agency directly or third party.

The WORST car rental experience in my 35 yrs of travel. First there were people arguing to get into the shuttles. To arrive at the location and wait in line for over an hour 20 minutes. Called family to come pick up my son who has Autism an hour into it. Once I get to the front I am hit with almost $200 in hidden fees. I booked through Expedia which i will review there. Very disappointed in Expedia! Once i finished at desk i had to wait another 25 minutes for the car to be brought up. The car a Hyundai Kona was nice, reliable and good on gas but NOT worth $675!!! The hidden fees were over the top!! I feel scammed!!! I had to take the car because i had already paid $207 to reserve and my family was waiting with my son at a restaurant. On my day of departure they send me a text that i had to return the car at 10am it was not the 2pm i had requested. When i called the phone number they provided, they proceeded to tell me i had to go to the location to change the time so i cancelled our plans for our last day and headed there. The agent confirmed it was a 2pm return but the damage was already done my family was already packed up and in the car with plans already cancelled because of distance.
NEVER again, i have already warned my friends & family who travel there often. BEWARE!!

⭐️⭐️ Two Stars—Only Because of the Shuttle Driver and Front Desk Lady
We rented from NextCar in Carolina, Puerto Rico (just outside the airport), and while our experience started off on the right foot, it quickly took a nosedive. The shuttle driver who picked us up was excellent—professional, helpful, and honest. He even warned us that there might not be cars available, despite our reservation, due to the high season.

Thankfully, the front desk agent reassured us that since we booked online over a week ago, we’d be fine. She was the only employee working, and honestly, she handled herself the best she could under extreme pressure. But here’s where the problems really began:

One person for 30+ customers. We waited almost two hours just to be helped. The poor woman was doing everything—processing paperwork, checking vehicles, answering phones.

Unprofessional conduct. While we waited, she and a male employee (possibly from the neighboring rental office) got into a loud, aggressive argument behind the building. The language used—especially in Spanish—was totally inappropriate, especially in front of families and children. They left all customers waiting while they finished yelling at each other.

The car wasn’t as described. The vehicle we were given was supposed to fit three suitcases. It barely fit two, and only after I removed the base panel in the trunk. The third suitcase had to go in the back seat between my children.

The car had roaches. Yes, actual cockroaches. When we asked for a replacement, we were told it could take hours, since they were backed up. One customer said they had been waiting six hours. We had no choice but to take the vehicle.

Additional driver fee was wasted. I paid for my wife to drive as well, but because of the roaches, she refused to use the car for the whole week. The kids didn’t even want to ride in it—they kept seeing roaches fly onto them—so we ended up carpooling with our guest in their rental.

The return process was quicker, but just as frustrating. When I tried to mention the issues to the employee on duty, he told me I’d have to wait in line—again, because he was the only one working. Same staffing problem, same disorganization. We had a shuttle to catch, and the return shuttle driver this time was nowhere near as helpful. He crammed us into an overcrowded bus and didn’t even bother helping with luggage. I ended up loading everything myself, and based on the look he gave me, he didn’t like how I did it. Frankly, he should’ve done it himself if it mattered that much.

Bottom line: if you’re heading to the island and have the option to rent from another location—take it. This NextCar location is mismanaged and unprepared for high-volume seasons. They need serious changes in staffing, customer service, and logistics. And most importantly—they need to deliver the vehicles people pay for… without roaches.

We rented through “Priceless Rental Car” through NextCar agreed for 4pm as drop off time because my flight wasn’t til 6pm. They wrote return time as 8:30am on the paper and when we called to tell them they made a mistake and confirmed 4pm TO OUR FACE in person, they tried to say we owe them extra money if we need it til 4.. they find little ways to make extra money off people! Be careful.

If I could leave a ZERO STAR review I would. Where do I even begin? The moment my friends and I arrived at San Juan airport, the shuttle service they “provide” was nowhere to be found and calling their customer service was almost impossible. We ended up getting a ride from a different shuttle service after waiting for almost an hour. When we arrived at NextCar, the first thing I noticed was how unorganized and understaffed this establishment was. There was absolutely no priority over customers who had already booked a vehicle in advance and we were forced to wait over 2 hours to get our vehicle! When we finally got our vehicle we had SO many issues with it, I’m talking the whole car turned off completely by itself while in use, and the trunk door did not work at all! More importantly , I was estimated a total of $400 for the entire rental on Expedia, NextCar ended up charging us an additional $300 of hidden costs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE and I will be taking legal action.

I am deeply distressed by the situation I am facing. Two weeks prior to my vacation, I had reserved a car. On the day of my departure, I contacted the car rental agency to collect my vehicle. They confirmed that my reservations were valid. However, the following day, I arrived at the rental location and waited for an hour before being informed that there were no available vehicles. Despite having arrived almost two o’clock in the morning, my family and I had left the premises without a car.
To substantiate my claim, I have photographic evidence of my presence at the rental location at approximately 2:48AM. Despite this evidence, the agency has falsely claimed that there was a no-show for my vehicle.
I am demanding accountability for the agency’s deception and the subsequent charges incurred. It is unacceptable that I should be held responsible for a situation where I had a reservation for nearly two weeks and was subsequently denied access to my vehicle. This situation is deeply frustrating and has caused significant inconvenience.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Car broke down on Day 2 of a 6 day rental. Spent the evening on calls trying to get roadside assistance. Lady hung up on me multiple times. Tried again the next morning. 6hrs until I got service for the car. Had to drive back to the rental place to get a new car, only to have to wait 2.5hrs in line. All said and done, my family had to cancel almost 24hrs worth of plans. Will never EVER go to NextCar or any other affiliated (Allied) rental car companies again. Avoid at all costs. Insult to injury: no one at the counter was the least bit empathetic and to date, no discount or refund. Go to one of the major companies. It’s worth it.

We returned the car two weeks ago and still have not received the refund. The customer service was good when I picked up the car, but then they have me a car with a single key with no auto lock control, and the tires did not have rims. The lady charged me extra for their insurance because my newest car was more than 5 years old, but they didn't tell me that when I reserved it. If you can, go with Enterprise. More expensive but you end up paying the same in the end

This was the worst experience ever, we got the rental online which was around $254 and it said included taxes and fees. When we get to the place they said we had to pay an additional $400 when online didn’t say anything about that. When they then showed us what the fees were it was actually insane. We ended up deciding not to get the rental because $400 was not in our budget since we paid online and when we asked for a refund they denied it, they basically scammed us of $254 because they refused to give us the money back even though we didn’t want the rental anymore.

It was a very, very bad experience. The service was poor. We arrived at the car rental office at 12:00 PM, and there were four people ahead of us. It took five hours before they finally gave us the car.

This was a very, very bad experience. We came to Puerto Rico as tourists, and the first thing we planned to do was rent a car. Unfortunately, the car rental process was a huge disappointment.

This is my first time visiting Puerto Rico, and honestly, I don't think I will come again.

You receive tourists from Other countries and your employees should reflect Empathy, compassion and respect to clients , they are not just employees , they represent PUERTO RICO our COUNTRY and Puerto Rico Always Does It Better. Si quieres votar tu dinero renta con ellos muy deficiente en cuanto a información dada por Internet separas por una cantidad y literalmente nos cobraron 3 veces de más está decir que perdieron una cliente, cuando llegas a su oficina te cobran por obligación 10 dólares por día el peaje más seguro por obligación separamos 300 dólares y terminamos pagando 1300 por una semana y OJO primera vez publicando por un mal servicio por que entendí que fue un abuso y sobre todo para que otro no le pase, Mi experiencia un 0 de 10.

I rented a vehicle there and I must say the worst customer service and very unhonest people. I rented a vehicle for a week and I returned it right before my flight and was told I was all set. Come a week latter I get an email of an overcharge on my account they charged me for 3 weeks when I only rented it for a week. Then when I tried to resolve the issue thru the phone they were laughing and not helpful. I even sent them proof of my ticket that I had came returned back so no possible way I could have been at 2 different countries at same time. It took me to call the big corporate office to get this resolved and get reimbursed the overcharge they did on my card. I rather rent from the airport before I ever go to this place a bunch of scammers liars and unprofessional and if you do rent please make sure u get a correct receipt with what you actually being charged cus if not they will rob u blind and get away with it if you don’t realize it on time I give them a 0 if I could have the option

We booked through Priceline and expected it will be a reputable establishment. Once in the location we waited almost 1hr in the line (they only helped 3 people in this time, line didn’t move). We checked the ratings and reviews and understood this is a big scam. We stepped out and got a rental car from another location. Priceline should ensure quality

I can not believe that I did not check these reviews before I rented car at NextCar. I read them after returning the car and I was happy because they only charged me more, I did not face other problems. I booked rent-a-car here with EconomyBookings and I was forced to pay in NextCar even more than I payed online. They have some strange insurance rules which are not mentioned anywhere and you do not have any other option there except to pay that.

Don’t use them or the other ones under this same company. They will scam you and steal your deposit. They say they will refund you the money but they don’t they will charge it from your car, that’s why they even scan your credit card and keep a copy of your card numbers. Take a look at my picture, I left PR on May 23rd And they just charged it on June 30th.

I did same day reservation through a third party website. Upon arrival I saw they don't accept same day reservation nor walk-ins. I confirm with one of the employees. I have advice them they need to let know those third party companies of their policies due to now I am stuck with a charge and the company taking their time for refund. In regards to the customer skills of the female employee she lack of empathy and customer skills they really need to train the people. (Its a saying you don't like your job quit)

I left a 1 star review a few days ago, while i was being served the lies and upselling and price jack. I returned the car a few hours ago, took a picture of keys and contract in the glovebox since i was told to leave it there, and after a long day, im finally home. I received an email from them and to my surprise, i mean i should not be surprised… an $800 Fee for LOST KEY!!!! I just sent the picture and now lets see what happens. Ridiculous, scammers, liers and low life. I better get my money back or this will be an absolute long legal battle and i will use as much resources to get this straight. They should be ashamed. DO NOT RENT IN THIS PLACE!!! Just dont, avoid yourself the headache. Im telling you, a 2 day rental that was at first $107 just turned into a $1,000++++ rental and if they don’t return my deposit, its almost $1,400 for day and a half!!!! Abí esta la foto!!!! Le hubiera sacado video tambien!!! Eso fue uno de los empleados que la boto y ahora me quieren cobrar a mi, o se quieren pasar de listo y robarse unos chavitos!!!! O quizas no les agrado el primer review y lo hicieron por represalia!!! Miren gente, ahí está!!!

Still no deposit refund… this is absurd. I don’t know how this rental place is still in business. They are master scammer artists. This is ridiculous. I went back to PR at the end of July, rented from Thrifty, no issues on vehicle, and the next day I returned the car, i got my deposit refunded. With Nextcar, it looks like they will keep this deposit for themselves. Its beenover a month and counting…❌❗️❌

***DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!*** I BOOKED A CAR THROUGH A 3RD PARTY AND MY RENTAL WAS SUPPOSE TO BE $112, WHEN I GOT THERE I ENDED UP PARTY $321!!! THEY ADDED SO MANY IRRELEVANT FEES ITS RIDICULOUS!!! ON TOP OF THAT YOY HAVE TO PAY $250 DEPOSIT! I DENIED THE DAILY TOLL PASS BECAUSE I KNEW I WOULDN'T BE PASSING ANY TOLLS, I RETURNED THE VEHICLE AND WHEN I MADE IT TO THE AIRPORT I GOT MY CLOSE OUT RENTAL AGREEMENT TO SEE THAT THEY ADDED OTHER FEES AND ALSO ADDED THE DAILY TOLL PASS WHEN I DENIED IT WHEN I FIRST GOT THE VEHICLE!!! SO THEY TOOK THOSE EXTRA CHARGES OUT OF MY $250 DEPOSIT ADDING UP TO $108 THAT I NEVER AGREED TO. THEY ALSO FRAUDULENTLY COPIED MY SIGNATURE ON THE CLOSE OUT DOCUMENT AS IF I AGREED TO THOSE CHARGES. IM TELLING YALL, DONT RENTAL FROM THE COMPANY, YALL WILL BE PAYING MUCH MORE THAN YALL THINK AND YOU WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE GETTING YOUR WHOLE DEPOSIT BACK! THEY'RE ALL SCAMMERS!!!!

I was a bit skeptic to rent overhere after reading all those reviews. In the end I decided to rent here as it was hands down the best deal I could find. Turned out to be a great move. The staff was very kind at venue, pick-up time was somewhat efficient (waited 35 minutes) and the car I got was amazing. Exactly what I expected and very clean either. Kind of modern asa well! They released my security deposit after 2 days of drop-off. The latter went very smooth as well and they even started the shuttle just for me back to the airport! Will come back for sure, not even going to look at other rentals! Puerto Rico La Isla Del Encanto!

** Me conraron $800 por que supuestamente la llave del carro se perdio, no la encontraban. Gracias a Dios que le saque foto al contrato y la llave en el glovebox y despues de unos 3-4 dias me devolvieron el $ a la tarjeta. Una semana despues, todavia estoy esperando que me regresen el deposito de $250. We arrived via uber from the airport to pick up our rental car at Nextcar only to be told THE DIDN'T HAVE ONE FOR US! They took our payment online, and expedia has been trying to get our refund from them for two weeks now. When we asked they guy behind the counter what we're supposed to do for a car, he said you can try to call us tomorrow, then suggested we walk with all of our luggage down the road to "one of the other companies". We tried calling the next morning, only to be hung up on by their company 4 times, so unprofessional! The sheer incompetency is astounding.

Calificacion de una estrella porque no existe el cero.

Decidí cancelar mi reserva debido a la pésima organización, logística y servicio al cliente que experimenté en sus instalaciones. Desde mi llegada, quedó evidente la falta de control y supervisión. A pesar de que había una fila, no había ningún personal que la organizara, lo que llevó a una confrontación verbal entre dos clientes por el lugar que ocupaban. Esta situación fácilmente se podría haber evitado con al menos una persona dedicada a gestionar el orden en la fila.

Lamentablemente, solo dos empleados estaban atendiendo en el mostrador, lo que resultó claramente insuficiente para la cantidad de personas presentes. Para empeorar la situación, alrededor de las 6 de la tarde, uno de los empleados se retiró, dejando a una sola persona para atender a más de 30 clientes. El tiempo de espera por cliente era de entre 30 minutos y una hora, lo que hacía el avance prácticamente nulo. Aunque el empleado restante se mantuvo trabajando, no parecía contar con la experiencia necesaria para manejar una situación de alta demanda de manera eficiente.

Otro punto crítico fue la distribución del personal. Había varios empleados fuera del local, aparentemente para la entrega y recepción de vehículos, pero la lentitud del proceso hacía cuestionable su utilidad en ese momento. Hubiera sido más beneficioso que alguno de ellos ayudara en el interior, ya sea en la fila o en tareas administrativas.

Adicionalmente, es importante señalar que el calor en Puerto Rico puede ser extremo y ni siquiera había agua disponible en la máquina dispensadora. Considero que, en un contexto de espera tan larga, ofrecer agua a los clientes no solo es un gesto de cortesía, sino una necesidad básica.

Después de esperar más de tres horas sin que mi turno llegara y con mi familia (incluyendo niños) ya muy incómoda, decidí retirarme. Es lamentable que no se tomen medidas preventivas para evitar este tipo de experiencias. La atención fue, sin duda, más que deficiente.

Awful place to rent a car. Waited literally more than 3 hours. The car was dirty and had a tire pressure light on. When I asked about the light, I had to honk the horn because the staff didn't even move to assist customers. Super long lines and service. Hidden fees.

It is extremely unfortunate that I had to deal with Expedia and its affiliate, Nextcar Rental. If I could give them a negative review, it would still be a compliment, as my experience was the worst.

I made a reservation and was charged for it. However, when I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was informed that the reservation had been made less than 24 hours before pick-up and that they could not honor it because there were 10 cars available for 30 reservations. I received a refund receipt since I did not pick up my rental, but I was still charged for part of the reservation. This company seems to be scheming and appears fraudulent. I have already contacted my credit card company, provided them with the information, and requested a chargeback.

I will never make another reservation through Expedia, as I believe they do not verify the businesses they partner with. Expedia merely facilitate bookings and charge customers without any knowledge of how unreliable and fraudulent these companies can be. Doing business with them has been a complete nightmare.

STAY AWAY from this place! We had a terrible experience with NEXT Car in Puerto Rico. When we arrived at 6pm, the line was outrageously long, with people saying they'd already been waiting over 3 hours. There was only one person working the front counter, and although she was doing her best, the line barely moved. Meanwhile, there were 5-6 staff members in the back who weren’t helping at all. We ended up walking away from the reservation because the wait was just ridiculous. Thankfully, we had family nearby who could pick us up. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're ready to lose hours of your trip just waiting.

Absolutely worse rental place I ever been too. This place should hundred percent be shut down and not allowed to operate. For one their cars scraped and dented in every spot , second German roach infested talking about thousands and thousands of roaches and they know it when I went to return my car three other people their returning car too cause of the roaches. The third thing told me I get my money back in five days and ten days later still waiting on my money. Absolutely do not rent from them this place needs to be completely shut down or everyone in the location fired and new ownership

Update it has now been 5 weeks and I still haven’t got my money back for a car I never used. They a bunch of thieves absolutely avoid them.

Disgusting car rental place gave us two cars both ROACH infested. We also never received our $250 back when they told us to rent the car there will be a $250 hold on the card until we return the car and we still haven’t received our $250 “hold” back and it’s been 3 WEEKS! Don’t ever rent a car from here

If I could give 0 stars I would. The car we rented was with the light of the gas empty at and it was late like 12am so we didn't know if we would find a gas station open and the car end up having no breaks after a day when we call they said they could send a town truck to pick up the car and we have to figure it out how to go to san juan to the company to pick up another car, once we told them we couldn't cuz we didn't have no Transportation that's why we got the rental in first place! they said they will call back and they never did. Worst service ever!

I actually felt bad for the 1 guy working and doing everything. Other than that this company is not trustwothy. After a long day, a long flight they did not have our car ready but not only that! There were at least 10 families waiting for a car before us. Some were waiting 5 hrs or longer. Don’t rent from here

Expedia y NextCar: la peor experiencia posible. Un robo disfrazado de servicio.

Nunca más vuelvo a usar Expedia, y mucho menos su “socio” NextCar. Me hicieron perder mi dinero con un proceso completamente mal gestionado, lleno de desinformación, mala atención y cero responsabilidad. Básicamente, me robaron.

No solo hicieron mal su trabajo, sino que además no se hacen cargo de nada, se tiran la pelota entre ellos y el cliente queda abandonado. Una estafa legalizada.

¿Así es como ganan dinero? Haciendo perder tiempo y plata a la gente. Lamentable, decepcionante y totalmente inaceptable.

⚠️ NO RECOMIENDO Expedia ni NextCar bajo ninguna circunstancia. Si valoras tu tiempo, tu dinero y tu tranquilidad, busca en otro lado.

Customer service was the only good thing about this experience and it's amazing they have a positive attitude with the crap they have to deal with.

Started with a literal two hour wait to get the vehicle. Once we received it, it had not been cleaned, inside or out, for who knows how long. The outside was dented, scratched and rusting in places.

Inside, some of the buttons for climate control were permanently broken and pushed in so you couldn't use them. The screen had a mind of its own and would just randomly change screens and push buttons constantly.

Certainly would not recommend and will not be returning.

I don’t normally like to leave reviews, but my experience honestly needed to be shared. I am originally from the island so I don’t like to do things like this, specially when it comes to my people. I got a loaner for five days. It was very dirty infested with roaches and I had no brakes or a spare tire. I keep calling about my deposit, I can’t get on the phone with anybody or they come up with an excuse. The wait to get the car was awfully long. They only had one guy working. They didn’t do a walk-through or anything. They just gave me the keys and told me to go. Definitely do not recommend them!!

At the beginning everything looks ok ,Pick up my car with no problem ,not a llt of people so was pretty fast ,but the nightmares started that same night ,car full of roaches ,try to call and no answer ,I was there with limited time for a family emergency and end up driving the car with roaches ,,when dropped the car was super busy at 230 am guy told me to just leave the keys inside with nobody to inspect the car and i have to fly back so couldn't wait ,hopefully i get my deposit back

Have too many extra fees it’s just to expensive you have to be careful. It’s $150 cleaning fee but soon as they hand you them keys they don’t come outside to do a walk through with you, the vehicle was already dirty so I made a video before I left and they had roaches. I brung it back just like I got it and showed the lady the video who waved the cleaning fee be careful

Horrible, pesimo servicio y muy poca empatia y simpatia. Nos dieron una guagua llena de cucarachas, sucia, con goma lisa donde puedes tener un accidente, la llave no cerraba porque tenia la bateria dañada y estuvimos llamando casi toda la semana que estuvimos para resolver y jamas nos pudimos comunicar a esa oficina. Cuando fuimos a entregar la guagua y hablamos lo que paso, la respuesta solo fue que teniamos que hablar con el gerente el cual obviamente jamas vimos ni mucho menos hablamos.

Horrible experience! bad customer service and they charged us twice! Upon arrival, rental pickup, ran our card. We had already paid in full on Priceline...and Nextcar refused to refund us for the 2nd charge...awful, so disappointed. What was supposed to be a good deal on Priceline, turned into a nightmare at Nextcar at SJU airport.

It was not a good experience. There were many charges that caught me by surprise. The final bill was more than double the amount that i was quoted. The best way to get repeat customers is to be transparent and not hide fees until the customer gets to the check out counter. It was not a good experience. The car also wasn't what I expected. It had a lot of scratches. The horn didn't work. Overall it was a bad experience.

Good car the entire week. Price was as advertised. Keep in mind they recommend to pay extra for Ins; roadside; if your CC does not cover car in P. R.

Costco CC Does cover 50k or 100k ins.

I paid for EZ express, highly recommend if your traveling on expressway.

When returning car, leave keys on dash board. You must look out for shuttle bus

You get a price , but then they start upping the price with taxes , fees , etc....(in my case 150% higher) plus the 250.00 retainer . A scam !!!! They just sent me right back to the other company I used before . You can't be deceiving and think you customer will repeat this fraudulent service. (* plus at almost 11pm I had no choice but to accept the suv at those , I fell in the trap , prices ) You are warned !!!!!!!

We waited 45 minutes for the shuttle. After we arrived at location, we waited 2 hours to finally get our rental. They know now many people are coming in and when they are coming in knowing the reservations. They did not staff accordingly. There were three agents when we arrived and after about an hour, one of them left without a replacement. I’m pretty sure the people behind us, about 12, waited longer than we did.
The return process was fast and easy.

Overall the rental experience wasn’t the worst… I previously reserved my rental online and it appeared to be the final cost. There was an additional $120 in unexplained fees when we arrived, plus there was a big hassle confirming that my car insurance covered me while I am driving a rental vehicle.

We spent an additional hour once we got there just to get our rental because they were so short staffed and the extra hassle that wasn’t explained or requested when I booked online.

I would not recommend booking with them, use a more trusted car rental for less hassle and time saving experience. If you have no other options… well I guess you could roll with them.

Horrible experience. We never received a car or a refund. NexCar is NOT at the airport. You must take a shuttle to an off-site location. When we arrived, the 12 people in line had been waiting for 3 hours. There were only 2 women doing all the work themselves. My son and I waited 2 more hours in the heat with no food or water (the vending machine was out of everything). We did not move an inch in those 2 hours and only one person actually got their pre-booked car in that time. Finally I asked the shuttle driver to take us back to the airport where we rented from a different company at 7x the cost. Then NexCar refused to issue us a refund of the $120 we paid them for a car we never received. Awful. Never use this business.

I rented here for Memorial Day weekend. I arrived at 7:30p and waited in line for literally 4 hours! I had to Uber my wife and son to the Airbnb as it was taking so long and my infant daughter was hungry. There was only 1 associate managing the line with dozens of people waiting! In fact, the associate took a 30 minute lunch break and left the line unattended during my wait. The manager showed up but stated she did not know how to utilize the system to help any customers. It was the worst experience ever renting a vehicle in my life!

If there was a way to leave a negative star, I would. I waited 4 hours to get a car that I reserved. The employees were very rude. I received my rental car on empty there was no gas and it was dirty and it smelled really bad. There was alot of sand and garbage in the car. They key remote died on me on the second day of use. I purchased a battery for the and when I returned to the car I told them that I bought a battery for the key remote and they didn't even say thank you or apologized for the inconvenience. They were rude when I returned the car. I was not satisfied with the service I received.
