Newman Roofing, LLC replaced a section of our roof in 2024 due to a leak, and their service was excellent. After a recent storm, a new leak appeared in a different area. I contacted them, and Luke responded the same day, quickly arranging for a crew to make the necessary repairs. David served as the job supervisor on both occasions. He kept me informed throughout the process and made sure I felt confident in the work being done. I truly appreciate their responsiveness and professionalism, and I would highly recommend Newman Roofing, LLC to others.

First things first. Newman EARNED my 5 star rating. We had some issues during installation, repair and inspection. I am not gonna share them here because every home and project is unique.

The final result met the high quality of Newman's reputation. The crews were hard working and I enjoyed having them as guest at our home. The old fashioned mantra of "the customer is always right" is a creed that Newman validated.

When we finally had a day that rain wasn’t predicted, the team (14 guys) and Dan Willis the supervisor showed up at 7:00 AM as planned and 12 hours later the old roof was removed, the new roof completed, and everything cleaned up! Tearing off and putting on a new roof creates a colossal mess, and when they were finished, we had a hard time seeing they had even been there!

If you’re like us, you’ll end up reading 100 of these reviews before choosing a roofing company - a choice that we didn’t take lightly either. But you have to know right off the bat that we’re extremely happy that we chose Newman.

We called 4 companies to come out and give us estimates on our project. All were reputable, and came from recommendations from our neighbors, advice from coworkers, and online reviews- we did our homework.

Newman’s representative, Kurt, came to the house and only needed 30 minutes to go through their packet, answered all of our questions, and gave us complete confidence they knew what they were doing. We knew we were going to choose Newman before the other companies even showed up – but wanted to be sensible and get several quotes. And we’re glad we did – because it only solidified our choice.

Communication was outstanding through the whole process as we received text updates and prompt follow up phone calls for the remaining questions that we had. From our quote to the installation day was six weeks. Which by comparison with others was pretty good!

Today, 12 men arrived at 6:30 AM and completed the whole project in one day(With gutters to follow next week). The supervisor, Jon, was very personable and relayed recommendations to me throughout the day. The workers were friendly, definitely hard-working, and never seemed to stop moving- everyone knew what needed to happen next.

You can see in the pictures they covered our plants, protected the furniture on our deck, and did an amazing job cleaning up at the end – extremely impressed! They also came up with a solution for a problem area we had from extreme runoff that was damaging our back garden.

But one of the greatest satisfactions of the day was our neighbor coming over 10 minutes after the men left and said “that looks fantastic - you definitely made the right choice”!

Newman was not our lowest quote- but as the saying goes, you definitely get what you pay for! We are completely satisfied with our choice and know that we chose a good company to back up their product in the years to come.

Replacing the roof on your home can be a stressful and intimidating endeavor, believe me, I know because I just had the roof on my house and on my detached garage done in mid June. Let me help you eliminate that stress, just give Newman Roofing a call. The friendly conversation I had when I first called to get an estimate started me feeling better. The next day the salesman showed up right on time. He looked over everything, we talked and he went back out to his truck and in a few minutes came back in with 3 quotes for 3 different grades of shingles and a pocket folder with the quotes and literature telling about the materials they use. Impressive. A couple days later a follow up call to see if I had any questions. In the meantime I was getting another estimate in which the salesman was late by an hour and a half and then his quote was a day late being sent to me. Quite a difference in the way the 2 companies operate. Shortly after receiving the quote from the 2nd company I made my decision to go with Newman. From that point on I was amazed by the communication from them, from the approximate install date then to the date, when the material would arrive and where it was going to be placed and the time the installation crew would be showing up. Absolutely no surprises due to good communication on their part. The crew showed up and after a quick meeting with the supervisor the work started. I was totally impressed of the protection they put up around the house and the flower beds. This crew cared about what they were doing. The clean up during and after the installation was completed was amazing, you couldn’t have asked for it to be any better. Then a day later a quality control person came for a visit and a another inspection.

Newman was a great company to work with when we needed a new roof due to a hailstorm. John, the team supervisor, was friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgeable, as was his entire crew. It was a hard-working group under challenging 95 degree temperatures but they persevered. The clean up both days was outstanding!
One set of skylights sent with them was the wrong size, but someone drove to Akron to pick up the right size and returned to install them within hours.

It was a great decision to have Newman replace our roof - about 10 days ago. David Dominguez and his crew of three skilled roofers worked on one of the hottest days this year (over 90°F) to remove and replace a major section of our unusually shaped roof. We have no idea how they did such a wonderful job in this intense heat but they did. When the job was done they took special care to clean up all debris. We have been in the house for 14 years and we have finally found the best roofing company!

My experience with Newman Roofing has been positive from the salesman's presentation to the roof installation and followup. The roof looks great and their cleanup after the job was exceptional! They have answered my questions and given me notifications in a timely manner.
The reason I picked Newman Roofing was not only their positive reviews on line. Two years ago a contractor told me I had storm damage on my roof and wanted to replace it right away. Newman was one of the companies I chose to get another opinion and estimate. The Newman representative examined my roof, said he only saw normal wear and tear, no storm damage and that my roof would probably last two more years! This honesty was my confirmation that when the time came, I would pick Newman to replace my roof!

I've had an amazing experience with Newman roofing. They helped us with new gutters. The installers were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The gutters look great.

Through no fault of the gutters, about two weeks after installation, I had some water spilling over the gutters. (A river birch on our property had deposited an ungodly amount of its seeds onto the roof and subsequently into the gutter, causing some water to spill over.)

I called Newman to make sure these new gutters were installed correctly and there wasn't an issue. They were at my house to follow up the next day.

Dan Willis, a quality control supervisor, came out to help with this problem. He was fantastic. Extremely friendly, pragmatic, thorough, and knowledgeable. He saw immediately it was a clump of seeds that got caught in the gutter, but he did his due diligence anyway and made sure the gutters were graded and down-sloped properly and that my downspouts were not clogged.

I didn't have to fight to get them out here and they just helped take care of my issue when they did. I can't recommend Dan Willis and Newman Roofing enough. Easy 5 stars.

Brady and his crew did a great job putting on a new roof. Additionally, the clean up around the house was superb and with a few days of rain under our belt they even managed to get rid of an annoying drip sound that our previous roof created outside one of the bedrooms.

10/10 experience! This is my first house and first roof replacement and Newman Roofing made it so easy. They gave me a quote the same day. Unfortunately, the power had to be disconnected and that was a whole fiasco but Newman Roofing was easy to work with through it all. We are very happy with our experience with Newman roofing-from our initial contact via their website, through our interactions with the salesman/advisor Kurt through installation. Our shingle selection was made easier with their user friendly website ‘completed project’ link on their website-we could find actual projects in our neighborhood to drive by as well as to talk with previous clients. Communication with the office to our installation with Tyler as the project lead was seamless . The clean-up was great and experienced minimal landscape damage. We had gutter run-off issues with our old roof. Kurt assured us these would be resolved and they were. After several lighter rains and a heavy storm a few days ago we were thrilled with the results. We have lived in our home over 30 years and have had many home improvement projects. We’ve had some atrocious experiences with contractors we would never deal with again to many that were acceptable. Newman Roof is heads and tails above any contractor we have used. They stand by their word, their staff from the office down are professional and they do an excellent job with a fair price. Their attention to detail is unmatched. We recommend them without reservation.

These guys are absolutely fantastic! The way they run their company is second to none...I was able to experience personally why they have no less than 5 star reviews. That was one of the most important decisions for us when choosing a roofing company.

The levels that they go through to protect your landscaping, and property was eye opening to see. The installers also work extremely hard in some of the worst conditions being on a roof in the hot sun...Running up and down ladders, and carrying heavy loads.
Cory was great very professional, gave us the information we needed to make a decision, set the right expectations, and was not pushy at all. One of their competitors (not really) was so used car salesman approach. Abrasive, and off putting! No follow up, like zero, and very unapproachable. I'm sure his closing ratio is horrible. The other company didn't have the long standing reputation of Newman. Longevity, and reputation was key in our decision making process.
Alex Jon's manager was great in answering some additional questions pre-installation day, and fantastic communication. He even went out of his way to help us out on a small exterior item we were questing that had nothing to do with this scope of work.
Our production manager Jon was there at sun up, and all day long making sure everything was perfect. He made sure the installers were taken care of. You could see and feel the mutual respect between the teams. Not only was he very knowledgeable, he was super friendly, hard working, and very professional! He was kind enough to provide support on a exterior item that had nothing to do with the work they were performing. He and Alex saved me much time, and aggravation.
The entire team as a whole all complimented each other, and super professional! On site they backed up everything they are about.

It started 2 years ago when I called to have the roof inspected. Chuck checked it out and told me it still had a couple of good years left and even fixed a couple of shingles. 2 years later, I called Chuck to come back out after a big storm. He was surprised that I kept his card for 2 years. There was no damage but the roof was original and 25 years old and needed replaced soon. Chuck showed me the info and gave a quote and we went with it. The crew arrived 7a and was all done including clean up by 230p. I was amazed. The roof looks great! The area around the house barely looks like we had any work done. Truly white glove treatment! We highly recommend Newman for your roofing needs.

We recently had our roof replaced and couldn't be happier with the entire experience! Tyler came out in the fall and gave us an estimate. He explained everything in detail and went over our options. The whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. From the initial phone call, to the consultant Chuck that came and explained our options and how it would all go. Kevin our day of project manager was informative, friendly and knowledgeable.

This is our second Newman Roofing review in two years. The first review below was for a full roof replacemnt approximately two years ago. When we began experiencing gutter issues, we only reached out to Newman Roofing for an inspection and/or estimate. Never before have we not contacted at least several contractors to inspect and/or bid a job. After the amazing experience we had with the roof, and without hesitation, we reached out to Newman Roofing to deal with our gutters. These are crazy days we are living in and it is such a struggle to know what is real and what isn't, who still has integrity and who just talks a good game. Newman Roofing is indeed the real deal! Their crew members are so respectful, hard working, thorough and really care about customer service and customer satisfaction. Newman Roofing has put together crews that "know their stuff" and work so well together as a team. They get the job done right and they are fast from set-up to clean-up.

We contacted five roofing contractors for bids. Two of those five used satellite imaging for bid submission. Three sent a company representative to our property. Two of those three actually got on the roof. Only one of the two came down and asked if I knew there were two layers of shingles on the roof. We did. Only one out of five was able to give us a true bid on the cost of tearing off and replacing our roof. Newman Roofing was the only contractor that would not have ended up contacting us with extra tear-off charges once the job was started. From beginning to end this was a stellar experience. We were kept in the loop from the moment we signed our contract to job site cleanup. The crew arrived exactly when they said they would. Our home was encased in plywood boards, screening material and blue tarps protecting every vulnerable door and window. Even my potted plants were covered and not a flower broken off its stem! Our roof was torn off, replaced and cleanup completed between 7:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Our property was left in pristine condition; no debris - no nails. This is an A+ company staffed by true professionals who are honest, respectful, hard-working and know the true meaning of customer service.

High quality impeccable work! Newman replaced all the fascia boards and installed new 6” gutters with toppers. David, the job supervisor, is very knowledgeable and talented. Great attention to detail. These guys are real pros!

I would recommend Newman to everyone, they are affordable but most of all they stand by their work. I got a new roof last year but I also needed the flashing on my three seasons room replaced. From the first call to post-installation follow-up, the team at Newman Roofing were responsive and professional. We were impressed with the team attitude and distributed leadership we saw among the crew. Someone was always available to answer our questions or refer us to the right person. They kept us up to date in the planning and scheduling phase, then on the day of showed up as planned a little before 7am. By 7pm, they had completely torn out and replaced our entire roof on a split level home. The financing services options helped us to move ahead while picking the right mechanism to spread the cost over some time, which made the process even easier. We liked the options for color and materials and are happy with the outcome.

Editing review 08/2025 to add: About 4 years after the roof installation, we had a porch addition. We reached out to Newman to ask if they would check the new roof work where it ties in to ensure our warranty for Newman's work would not be impacted by any issue with materials or workmanship. They identified a significant issue with one section where the slope was significantly lower than manufacturer's specs for shingles and showed us the correct product in the CertainTeed line that is used in low slope installs and has color matching to the shingles. We forwarded these details to our contractor, who is remedying the issue by removing the shingles on this section and replacing it with the Flintastic material for low slope designs. We really appreciate their support so we have confidence our roof can hold up to heavy rain and snow fall.
