I wish they were a little more friendly.
They don't carry a lot of items also not carried by every other hardware store.
Several times I've gone to several hardware stores for an item. Only to find NONE of them carry a somewhat common item.
It's easy enough to find condescending customer service elsewhere in Newberry.
Competition is tight in Newberry as there are alternatives.

Well, its an Ace Hardware. I wouldn't say it's anything special, they have a decent assortment of things, and propane. As a whole, I like the service you get there, less than the little store itself. Been there dozens of times.Plenty of people to help, and some of them do help. I don't like to run small local businesses under the bus, because we need them. I just wish they were a little more friendly. It's easy enough to find condescending customer service elsewhere in Newberry. And unfortunately, i probably will go elsewhere, unless I need to.

The folks at Newberry Hardware, at one time known as Hamm's has been a great convenience for those of us living in the country to shop for our hardware needs locally. The traditions initiated by the elder Patriarch Mr. Hamm is still practiced today: customer service at it's best, knowledgeable staff, courteous, intelligent, and willing to go that extra mile to satisfy the customer's needs, even if they are ignorant like me with certain parts and their patience and empathy is awesome. I could add so much more, but I will just recommend you visit the establishment and find out for yourself. Peace be with you all and thanks guys.

Went in with a list of items that my husband needed, some of which he probably should have looked for himself. A young man by the name of Keenan was quick to offer assistance. Knew exactly where to find the items. Has me ready to check out Ina few minutes. Y'all go see Keenan in Newberry.

Currently our go-to paint store is going through a severe pint shortage. This is troublesome as it’s where our livelihood lies. Thankfully Newberry Hardware carries high quality paint which let us get back on track with our painting projects. Ben is kind enough to let me call in the paint and pick it up later, which helps me get back to the job site as soon as possible. Happy to have Newberry Hardware as a great resource in town!

Great place and I was helped so much at getting the things I needed and some extras. And the customer service was great and loaded my heavy items without me having to ask for help. It's a true down to earth hometown store and so much better than the big chain stores. And they have everything in a smaller more efficient way to shop. I will pick hometown hospitality over the larger stores any day. Newberry hardware is a great place and I would recommend it for products and service and just great atmosphere. And I had a lot of questions about different items and the responses were very helpful. Newberry hardware!

I like to support the local hardware stores. Use them whenever possible.
Competition is tight in Newberry as there are alternatives. There lies the rub.

The guys are nice here, but they don't carry a lot of items also not carried by every other hardware store. Several times I've gone to several hardware stores for an item. Only to find NONE of them carry a somewhat common item, most of which are a nationwide product. Never seen or heard of it. Frustrating! I suggest some staff going to the National Hardware Convention in Chicago. Never been there myself but know others that have.

Want to standout, carry a different mix of items!

I will admit I'm spoiled. Home base for decades was in Tempe, AZ. My local Paul's ACE store is huge. It was my go-to store for items not carried by the Lowe's & Home Depot. And before being bought by Paul's, they had an even bigger selection of hardware that could not be found at the big box stores. And that is called "PROGRESS"?

All my life I've thought having a hardware store would be a fantastic dream. All that stuff to make repairs & build things! But then there is the reality of life.... Oh well.

Back to this store - I know there is limited space, even worse limited budget. Not to mention "Shelf Life". But where there is a will there is a way! Maybe motivation is needed?
