Great diagnosis. They did what they said they were going to. Great work. Five years later I went to sell my house and the buyers agent demanded a permit for the job. New England Roofing came through with the town and getting the permit in time for the closing. They went above and beyond for a customer from five years earlier

Great staff, always polite and helpful. Job was done quickly and professionally. Had some issues with an invoice and managers were responsive and removed unnecessary charges promptly. Will definitely use them again!

I have used New England Roofing and Home Repair for 2 jobs, tighten up my gutters and eliminate water seeping between fascia and gutters and fixed a piece a corner of the house that had allotofwoodpecker activity and today replaced attic pulldown stairs.

New England Roofing did an impressive job. I hired them for what started as a large dormer project and expanded to a somewhat larger job. They were easy to work with and did the job in a timely manner. I'm very happy with the final product and would hire them again if I need anything done. JC listened to me and responded directly to any questions I had throughout the project. He's honest and has a lot of pride in the work his company does.

We bought our house last December. It had a "new" roof, installed a year earlier by New England Roofing, who had already replaced it once due to shoddy workmanship. A minor storm hit the day after we moved in, and our "new" roof leaked badly.

We called New England Roofing. They put a tarp up... and left it there for months. It took countless calls and until April before they finally replaced the roof. Each time I called, they promised a call back that never came.

Once the roof was on, we tried to get them to fix the damaged drywall. They stalled, saying they wanted to wait for more problems to appear. We asked for someone to assess the damage; they refused, saying they'd check it when they finally scheduled the repair.
After many attempts, we got a repair date. They no-showed, then called two days later to apologize.

Finally, in September, someone came to look at the damage. Our roof is steeply pitched, and the leak was right in the middle, so water ran down both sides. We wanted the entire ceiling drywall replaced. Their project manager, JC, accused us of "taking advantage" and said they'd only replace the tape at the very center, leaving the rest of the damage untouched. I tried to explain that this was unacceptable, given their initial promise to fully fix the problem they caused. He stormed off, angrily telling me not to call him.

After 10 months of getting nowhere, we've given up on the free repair we deserve for the damage New England Roofing caused. We're going to pay a reputable company, Nutmeg Roofing, to do the job right.

I would never recommend New England Roofing to anyone, unless they want their house destroyed.

Beyond happy I went with these guys for my roof and gutters. Out of all the quotes I got, these guys were the most professional, quickest to provide an on-site estimate, and get the job done. I appreciated the open communication I had with the project manager in regards to my repair needs. They did everything I needed, the workers cleaned up after, and the turn around time for having my house and garage roof done and my gutters replaced and redesigned to drain properly, was amazing. I highly recommend them and I definitely will be utilizing them for my next project.

While they had a lot of jobs going on before us, and with the weather it took us a little bit to get our roof done, they had people come out and tarp the roof when there was a leak to get us through the inclement weather. I hired New England Roofing after our building was broken into leaving a hole in the roof. They were able to come out after hours to secure the property. After contacting my insurance company they were able to communicate directly with my carrier to get the claim settled and get the property restored back to its original shape.

They came within a week and did a phenomenal job, no mess everything looks amazing and they were a fair price based on what the market is today. I would definitely refer them to friends and family.

My area was hit with a storm and it caused damage to my roof. I went into contract with New England Roofing & Home Repair so that they could work with Insurance to help repair the leaky roof. Little to no progress was made in the first 6 months. My roof was still damaged and at this point, other homes in the surrounding areas had their roofs fixed. I asked for progress updates every 2-4 weeks in the form of a call or email. I received no new information and was told that they were still working on it. Eventually I called my insurance to see what the issue was, and it seemed that there was no real communication done between the roofers and insurance. Eventually insurance sent a representative to inspect the roof again and then provided more financial assistance. This part was not due to any effort from the roofers. The roofers repaired the roof, but a part of it was still leaking. I called the roofers about it and was told that they did their work and that the leaks were caused by a different issue. They then stopped picking up my call or replying to emails. The whole process took about 8-9 months. The quality of work seemed fine except the leaking part.

From what I can tell from the other reviews, they seem fine as long as it is gutters and insurance is not involved. The actual repair workers seem fine, but the management side seems to be lacking and caused the overall experience to not be good. Definitely not a 5 Star quality of service.

I needed my gutters sealed and have leaf guards installed. I had multiple service providers give me estimates. New England Roofing was by far the best. I got a very reasonable quote and proceeded with the work. The installer was skilled, on-time, polite and very professional. The office staff followed up at every step. I am very pleased with the result. I would definitely use them again for any future projects.

I'm happy with the roof installation. I'd call them back in another 30+ years again if I am still in this house for that long, and the roof needs to be done again. Very happy customer with the roof.

I had Justin and Williams come out to my house to install the gutters. They were hard working and professional. I appreciate their attention to make the gutters at my house done in the best design possible.

I hired them for roofing inspection/maintenance over the last couple of years. I have a black roof, they replaced some shingles with brown shingles. Long story short, Connecticut has a reasonable uniformity code for insurance repairs. The mismatch shingles (the brown they installed versus the black on the house) meant my insurance company did not have to uphold the reasonable uniformity law, reducing the claim for storm damage by 85%. I have reached out to the them multiple times telling them of the situation and asking them to come replace the mismatch shingles, I even have the shingles for them to use that are a match. I have yet to receive any communication from them after 2 months. Opportunity to correct a mistake and keep a customer even though the customer had to bare the consequences of the professional oversight is too much to ask for them. If you are reading this, consider this fair warning that the professional and technical aptitude of their work can leave you as a victim where fair trade of service may be in question. There are good reviews on here, so here is to hoping there are not many other victims out there. Needless to say, this is my experience, I am now in discussions with the Connecticut Dept. of Consumer Protection for action.

Update: Several days after posting, the company responded to this review by reaching out. The mismatched shingles were replaced several days later.

These guys were incredible. I had a few shingles fly off my roof less than 24 hours before a scheduled inspection to sell my house. I called everywhere and nobody would or could do anything for me. New England Roofing not only came through for me, but actually changed their schedule around to accommodate my emergency, all without over pricing (which I would’ve paid gladly) This is the true meaning of customer service! Great work for a reasonable price! Highly recommended! Installed new gutters for me after a tree took out the old ones. Also had them install a new front entry door and storm door. Could not be happier. Also the owner JC takes pride in customer satisfaction and makes sure you are satisfied!

New England Roofing replaced the ridge vent on my home about a year ago now and I could not be happier with the result from start to finish. JC came out on time for the estimate and they scheduled me quickly given the time-sensitive nature of the necessary repair (ridge vent replacement). Their pricing was very competitive. Job done on schedule, on budget, clean and professional. Highly recommend.

I love everything about this company. The Customer Service is pleasant and professional to work with. The estimator was on-time, quick and had a can-do attitude. I had many other "roofers" come to look at the job and either never heard back from them, or they declined the work.
New England Home Roofing quickly produced an electronic quote and once I approved it, put me on their schedule for work.
Approximately one week later, the workers arrived. They got right down to business and did a fantastic job. They were pleasant (I think their names were Fernando and Justin). They had all the materials and correct tools. They finished the job in less than 2 hours. I'm so happy with the work they did. It looks great! I highly recommend New England Roofing and hope you have the same experience that I have had.

I had a repair done to my leaky roof, which caused water damage to my ceiling. JC came out to give me a free estimate. He was more thorough in assessing the damage than any of the other contractors that I spoke to, and he didn't try to upsell me. New England Roofing did the repair to my roof and my ceiling, sealed any cracks and re-painted. So far I'm very happy with their service and professionalism.

Flaky, look elsewhere. Never finished doing all the things they committed to and very aggressive asking for payment, even when you've paid 90%, before they finish. They also think it's then appropriate to give you hard time when you leave less than a 5 star review, and they whitewash negative reviews by misrepresenting what happened in their responses (they removed it when I edited my review to note this). Would not go with again.

NER&HR installed a new roof on my home 3 months ago. The workers were considerate to our needs, the price was reasonable , the new roof looks great and so far there have been no leaks. What more could I ask for?

Before replacing our roof, I asked quotes at 6 companies to compare the way to replace, cost, material, schedule, and working partnership. Of course, I should keep looking our new roof for long time to review their job totally, but I can say at this time their work and consulting were professional, and am happy to choose them.
Our old roof had some strange structure, it turned out after starting job. The owner JC found the solution, and also made an effort to prevent too much additional cost. After the roofing project, I consulted other problems of the house with him and he dealt with them promptly, too.

We hired New England Roofing to repair a leak coming from our bathroom roof .

They sent a rep over and he found out the
Bathroom Pipe Gasket needed a new boot pipe flashing gasket around pipe.

They gave us a very fair price estimate and offered to seal the bathroom air vent at the same costs .

We schedule the job . Two roofers did a great job. Even clean the leafs off our roof when they were done.

They have a quick and efficient booking process, their assistant was very pleasant, the owner came out and gave me many things to consider for further repair yet was very considerate of my budget and offered some simple solutions, and the workers were friendly and left the job site clean. My wife and I had a great experience with the team at New England Roofing. We were out of state when a micro-burst type storm tore approximately half of our roof off. Neighbors called us and informed us of the damage and we were at a loss on what to do. We googled roofing companies and found great reviews on New England Roofing, so we took a chance and called them. The staff was over the top professional and assured us that they would go out and secure our home immediately and also that they would completely manage the situation with our insurance company. I had a roof that was damaged after a bad storm many of the tiles were missing and I was worried that there was another big storm coming very soon that would leak into my house. They came the same day to temporarily protect the roof until we could work it out with the insurance company. From there on the end they took care of all the interactions with the insurance company and worked it out so that it cost me almost nothing. In addition they upgraded my roof to new architectural shingles and basically gave me a 50 year warranty. I will definitely use them for other things like painting and deck work. New England Roofing & Home Repair was a pleasure to work with. JC and his staff are very knowledgeable and assisted with every step of the way. My situation was due to tree/storm damage. They came out to assess the roof and made sure it was safe/ secure and placed a tarp to avoid further damage. They handled the insurance aspect as well and my claim was approved relatively quickly. Contacted them for patch job on asphalt roof, but JC helped me see that roof replacement was needed instead, and glad he did. They gave me what I thought was a fair price, and worked with me by doing just the main roof this fall, with an estimate to finish the rest later. Did job in just one day. Looks great and they did nice cleanup. Definitely would recommend them.

After having my roof damaged from a storm (basically a microburst, there were houses damaged everywhere). JC came out and walked me through the process with the insurance company. He came to my house when the adjustor came and made sure they took account of all of the damage. Of course the most important part is that the roof turned out great. The crew was friendly and made sure to clean up after themselves, and showed concern for the noise they were making (I have a newborn). Honestly, I am glad I called them. It was the best choice I could have made.

My husband and I needed our roof redone (we've been having some leaking problems) but I'm the type of person who likes to read reviews on something before I buy. The reviews I found online for New England roofing convinced me to choose them. Boy was I glad!! They not only got back to us right away after inquiring about price and all that, the roof was done in no time at all. And right before a rainstorm!
