Short story: If you want to build a custom home and create your dream house and have a remarkably easy and fun experience, look no further than NRC!

Long story: My wife an I had been looking for a custom house with a view of the mountains, a pool and an RV garage in Mesquite and with those parameters it was a tough combination to find until we met Shawn Glieden. Shawn made the process so seamless and kept us aware of upcoming developments NRC was featuring. We were the first he called when New Horizon became available and we made the leap! Shawn then introduced us to the NRC team and began the process of designing our house. Dillon and Shawn gave us ideas as well as asking our needs and what we wanted to keep up the excitement of what was to come!

I could go on and on, but NRC gave us EVERYTHING we wanted and hoped for in every way. Pricing and expectations from NRC was up front and there were no surprises about cost, timelines and any small issue that sometimes arise.

Overall, we ended up with our perfect dream home thanks to Shawn and Dillon and we owe them the biggest THANK YOU from us for a job well done.

We contracted with NRC to build our home this last Summer 2024 in the Val Vista development. We moved into our new home in the middle of November. The completion date was extended by two weeks but it was still a guick build time. During the process there were some mistakes made. These were either corrected within a couple days or taken care of by the warranty department. Better communication up front could have avoided some of these issues. My wife and I have both worked in the contruction business for over 30 years. We selected NRC based on what we saw in their construction practices and design of the homes they build. Very well done! The whole process was handled well. Nothing is perfect in this world but NRC genuinely cares about your satisfaction and works to correct any issues that arise. We highly recommend NRC.

I have been very impress with the designs I’ve seen with NRC that I’ve seen in their models. From the start I found them much more reasonable than others and better quality. Colleen was always there with updates and any questions I had and responded very quickly. They have a huge selection to choose from when picking out your interior and exterior of your home and lots of upgrades at no charge too. I definitely feel the home was well valued at the price I paid and very happy with the outcome. It was also done before they estimated.

I just had a fabulous buying experience with Colleen the agent at NRC’s new development New Horizon. She did such a great job with my buying process I listed one of my investment homes in Mesquite with her.

Visit her new listing at a fabulous home located in the Cambria subdivision and listed at $1,399,000. The amazing video Colleen directed about the listed house received over 200 views in one day!

We are moving to Mesquite and spent quite a bit of time looking at new construction/builder developments. We were extremely impressed with the agent Collen Glieden. From the start she answered every question we had and more. She is absolutely amazing. This development was the first one we looked at and ended up being where we bought. This developer has amazing options compared to other developers in the area. We can’t thank Collen and Nevada Residential Construction for building our new home.

NRC has now built two different homes and an RV garage (3 different contracts) for us in Mesquite, NV, and we've been very pleased. They have excellent vision, manage the project with quality details, coordinate with the client well, do what they promise, and always attend to any issues that come up promptly. Punch lists are executed in a timely fashion, with attentive follow-up. Dillon Jensen is a man of his word, and very easy to work with. By far the best builder we've experienced and we highly recommend them.

NRC was great to work with including after we moved into our new home. They were always quick to respond to questions and very competent with projects we wanted need help with.

Purchased two new homes built by NRC. Quality homes, cooperative in the build and exceptional service. Example, needed a place for wife's baby grand piano. Dillon adjusted the plan to accommodate, but then area was too dark, so he put in a window. Could not be more pleased with cooperation to ensure satisfaction. Delighted and appreciative.

I am very pleased with the quality of construction. NRC's Dillon Jensen was knowledgeable, accommodating, and available during and post construction. I am happy to highly recommend them.

NRC has built 2 homes for us over the past 4 years . And the quality and professionalism was excellent. Looking forward to a third build with NRC.

NRC has built two homes for us in the last 8 years and we have been absolutely thrilled with both homes. They don’t cut corners the workmanship is awesome! Our builder was always so responsive with questions and feedback. I would give them more than 5 stars if it were possible!!!

I read your reply that my review is fake or a scam. Nope, this is definitely regarding a house that you built and my grievances are truthful and legit.

Last year it rained a lot and that’s when I discovered that my house had multiple water leaks in several different locations. I contacted warranty… the roofers came out and had to replace several cracked or broken roof tiles. Each time I had to wait for it to rain to see if the previous repairs fixed the issue. The roofers probably came out anywhere from 4 to 8 times cause not all the broken roof tiles were discovered. Each time the roofers came out they would find new broken roof tiles that needed replacing. Could someone please explain to me why a brand new house has so many broken roof tiles? I still cannot comprehend that. Once I felt that the roof and water leaks were repaired also had to deal with repairing water damaged drywall. The roofers and drywall guys responded and came out fast, so I appreciate that. But could never get the painters to come out to paint the repaired drywall. I stopped by the office in person at least three different times this year and people would take my info down and assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem but there would never be any follow-up and no painters would ever show up. I would consider this to fall under warranty work. I also reached out to Bob at warranty and emailed him on July 15 about the situation. Was told by Bob multiple times that I’ll be scheduled and thanks for my patience. Was even told the painters would show up on a particular Friday and was then greeted with a “No Show”. Bob then tells me the painter that was scheduled to come over was recently let go and to give him a few more days to reschedule. Well there’s been no follow-up from Bob and I’ve already e-mailed the guy multiple different times starting July 15th and now it’s already August 27th and there’s still no painters or follow-up. I wouldn’t think it would be that difficult to have some painters come over, but apparently it is. Also, not once did a manager or superintendent from NRC reach out to me to address any of my concerns. Paid a lot of money for a new house but instead NRC sells me a house with broken roof tiles, water leaks and water damage and all the hassles and stress that go along with getting it repaired. The house looks nice and I appreciate that the roofers and the drywall guys responded quickly, but wish the work was finished to completion.

One of the things that made us choose NRC was the fact that they are a local company who has built homes in Mesquite for many years. We had previously built a new home with another national builder, and dealing with a local builder is a big plus. The sales agent can pick up the phone and ask a question of the Superintendent and get an immediate answer. They were more than willing to make some modifications to the structure which we hadn’t thought of in the original contract. We were very impressed with all the standard options they had to offer. There was no comparison to the quality of construction and the options that were included with NRC that you had to pay extra for with other builders. Tammy, our on-site sales agent, was exceptional in meeting our needs, answering questions, phone calls, text messages, and going above and beyond to be sure that we were 100% satisfied.
Our superintendent has been very diligent in seeing that all our problems and concerns have been taken care of. It was done on time. The entire staff was easy to work with and we would recommend them to anyone. From start to finish, this has been an enjoyable project thanks to NRC and its employees.

Process was great from start to finish. Had never purchased a new build before and everyone was so helpful and patient. Realtors went above and beyond to help and have continued to do so even after move in. Have only been in home a short time but the few minor items we needed fixed were addressed and fixed immediately!
Highly recommend this builder and the homes are gorgeous! Hope I never have to move again, but if I do, they would be on my short list of considerations!

Great experience with NRC from the get go! I love the finishes , price point and everyone was super great to work ( realtors & sales teams ) including the subs. Love my floor plan too! We also rent our home and we have received MANY positive comments on the layout, open floor plan, large patio area , 2 master baths, tall ceilings and 3 car garage. I would definitely recommend to work with NRC !

A year build with numerous problems, now in our house for a year and a half and cannot get stuff fixed. They have no problems taking your money, but when time to repair stuff on warranty, they don’t have the staff to do any of the work. Anything they do actually try to fix they mess up 3 more things trying to do that 1. After a while they tell you they’re not the middle man and want you to talk to these manufacturers yourself.
The place is a revolving door for employees. You go thru all your problems with the “punch list” person, and before they ever do anything that person quits or gets fired and you have to try to do it all over with the next person in line. It’s an endless cycle.
And before I get a response saying contact so and so to discuss this further, you know we’ve tried to contact everyone at NRC over the last year and a half and no manager/owner has ever cared to respond.
Don’t go thru the stress of building with these guys. Plenty of other builders around.
We’ve built a handful of new homes and this one by far was the worst experience. Also the most expensive home, so you’d hope for a little better.

NRC delivered a beautiful home and after two years living in our new home it has exceeded all of our expectations. There are no flaws, everything works just as it was designed and built, and I cannot praise the contractors, framers, plumbers, concrete crews, electricians, and especially the Superintendent over the work Dillon Jensen.

Quick to respond with requested adjustments, and easy to work with, Dillon made certain everything was done just as we wanted. Rick Anderson is an awesome visionary. He sees how to take maximum advantage of available views, makes appropriate adjustments in the framing stages in order to create ideal living and patio spaces, and requires excellence from the guys doing the work.

I give my highest marks to the people at NRC. As a builder of homes and neighborhoods, I cannot imagine anyone doing it better!
