Albert did a very good job explaining all aspects of what we were looking for including not only the prices, but the differences in panel choices, timing of installation and our return on investment.

Hedgehog sent Bo out on the same day I called. Bo is knowledgeable, friendly and knew exactly what to do. He exchanged ceiling fans and moved them from one room to another with a smile on his face. Thank you Hedgehog and keep BO around.

Bo came in checked everything out and found the problem. He then showed me what he was going to do and then replaced the breakers that needed to be put in. After he checked all the outlets and gave me information as to why this might have happened. He helped me on putting the correct information on my invoice for my home warranty so I can be reimbursed. I really appreciate the time he took with me and explaining it. He was a knowledgeable Electrician and I would definitely refer Hedgehog and Bo to my friends and family.

The technician was very efficient and knowledgeable. He repaired some faulty wiring that had melted within the unit. He was friendly and communicated with us through the repair process. I just wish there had initially been better communication about what the service charge was going to be. Because we were told there was going to be a substantial initial service charge we waited 3 months before we had the tech come and check our unit. The delay cost us several months of increased electrical bills due to the loss of solar power. We were under warranty but the office didn’t locate our account initially. In the end the 10 panels that were not working were repaired and seem to be producing power now.

I met Chance when they installed my system in 2022 great guy, I spent 37 years in the Trades & Recognize a Professional when I see one. If I owned a Company I would do my Best to employ Quality people too. I found the install price very high $500?...it cost more than the new microwave ($250.00)! Is there anyway you can discount that?

Jessy was great and so were the people in the office. Told him my problem and what trouble shooting I had done. They were able to fit me in same day which was awesome because when your electricity is out in parts of your home during the dead summer heat, you want it fixed asap. They let me know when he was on his way to my home. Of course when Jessy opened the panel and flipped the switches of course it was all fixed! Go figure! I am used to that part of Murphy’s law! I was only charged the service fee. Whatever it was it is fixed now. I just known I would recommend them and or use them again. Made it as simple for me as they could.

Tristan did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I just thought the price was a bit excessive since I already had the parts for the job. But, Tristan made it worth it.

There were on time professional and cleaned up after themselves. It took considerably longer to complete job through no fault of theirs and it didn't cost us any more than was quoted. And they did an excellent job. That is why we would highly recommend them

The tech also went through a standard rate sheet after I discussed in person the issues I was having, and how those standard rates applied with my service call. The company was quick to respond and set up an appointment. Arrived when they said they would. Troubleshot the problem and gave me several options prior to continuing the work. Jaden was professional and respectful of the property. Solved the issue and completed repairs quickly. We were very pleased with the work done and our entire experience with Hedgehog Electric.

Hedgehog converted kitchen lights from fluorescent to LED and did an excellent job. Their tech reps are courteous and skilled. Highly recommend this business.

We had a roof leak and Hedgehog was fantastic about coming out and checking for any problems with our solar system. Rafael spent time looking in the attic crawl space and verifying that there were several leaks but not from the solar installation. Rafael was courteous and so helpful! Very impressed with their service.

If I could give negative stars I would. The salesman was great and the installation went well. I have had nothing but trouble with the meters since the installation. You have to call and schedule someone to come out, it takes DAYS and they gaslight the heck out of you to explain the problems. “It will take 48 hours after the service call to see the change.” I believe I have had at lease FIVE visits and the problem is still not resolved. I wish they would fix these problems as quick as they grabbed and cashed my check. I DO NOT recommend this business.

We called for an electrical inspection to make sure all the circuits were in good condition. Thank you, Hedgehog electric.

We had some contractors working in an area HedgeHog had worked in months ago. The contractors were using some large draw items that identified weakened components in our circuit breaker panel. Roberto and Porter came right out, traced the problem and replaced some the offending components. Excellent job guys!

The team that came out were both friendly, professional and kept us informed thru the whole process of what they were doing. It was a pleasure and we will be sure to let everyone know “Hedgehog is the place to go”

I highly recommend Malcolm for anyone seeking top-notch expertise in solar battery solutions. 15 Jan 24. Unfortunately we decided not to do the upgrade because of the enormous price of installation.

New Review for Dec 2022:

Electricians Jonathan and Corey did an excellent job on installing a 20 amp service for our mini split. I appreciate them cutting out and reinstalling the sheetrock in the garage that I can patch later this week. They’re precise in their work, quick, and cleaned up their mess. They also did a free electrical inspection and identified circuit breakers that required replacement. These two men are an asset to your company and highly recommend them. More work to come next year.

Solar Review - Feb 2022

I usually do not write lengthy reviews but when I do, it is “Hedgehog Electric and Solar". They are the most positive vendor we’ve experienced since moving to Mesquite in 2017.

Salesman: Tamas

Installation Crew: Jacob (Journeyman Electrician), Ben, Jonathan, James, and Chance.

Site Scheduler: Donny and Connor (on site survey as well)

Project Manager: Malcom

Their salesman is non-pressuring, presents an overview where your solar panels will be installed, the estimated annual savings, and a projected 25 year cost savings. Furthermore, homes installed with solar panels increases your value by 4.1%. After the installation was completed, we called our insurance company to add the solar panels to our homeowner’s policy, and it increased our home value by $90K (18.7%). Perhaps it depends on the number of panels and kilowatt production, however not complaining about our home value.

Hedgehog uses their employees from start to finish. All permits are included in the price. We had zero worries and abundant communication.

Jake and his crew did our installation in 3 days. The crew was friendly, professional, answered all concerns and questions, replaced broken tiles, and cleaned up their mess.

The project manager was transparent, met all milestones. They’re an honest company, customer focused and will not hesitate to use them again.

Finally, there are other solar companies that may offer a lower price. Ask yourself these questions; will there be an electrician journeyman on site; will there be subcontractors dividing the work; are the subcontractors licensed and bonded?
