Tom was very nice and knowledgeable. My mother had broken pipes months ago which caused water damage to her kitchen. We were never able to get the drop ceiling tiles fixed properly. Fixing these tiles is not easy. He did a phenomenal job! He went above & beyond! We will be using Mr. Handyman again in the future, and will definitely request Tom!

I am very unsatisfied with my experience. I called the office to talk about my projects and get a quote on the jobs that I needed completed. We discussed all three jobs. The office said this would take a day and quoted me a price. They charged me money to hold my appointment date. A month went by, I had to call the office the day before the appointment to make sure that someone was still going to be arriving the next day. The appointment was scheduled to start at 8:00 am. The handyman came to my house at 12:45. He looked at the jobs that were to be completed and said that he could only finish one of them and asked which of the three I would like him to do. He went out to buy materials and returned back to my house sometime around 3:00. He never even fully finished one of the jobs. He left my house at 5:30 and I was charged over $1000. I was also charged for a gallon of paint that he never even used because the job was never completed. I asked if someone would be calling to schedule the work to be finished. He assured me that someone would be calling. No one ever called or returned.

Do not EVER work with this company. We received a quote with an estimated timeline of 3 full days of work. We agreed to a set daily charge per technician and an hourly rate per technician. Our technicians did a fantastic job and finished the project in just a day and a half (a total of 16 hours). However, when we received the invoice the total was far above the estimate and we were being charged for 24 hours of work per technician (an additional 8 hour day per technician). It should be noted we also had a coupon for 10% off labor which we never received despite mentioning it multiple times both to the technicians and the office. Resolving this issue took 5 separate phone calls with the office and a visit to their physical office. Despite agreeing to an hourly rate and it stating in the contract created by Mr. Handyman that they charge for an hourly rate and materials, we were told by Mr. Handyman staff and the owner that this was false and we were being charged a “project rate.” This was a violation of their OWN CONTRACT.

Meeting with the owner, who was incredibly rude and disrespectful, resulted in getting the price lowered, but still being charged significantly more than what we should have been. The owner claimed we were quoted a range and that he had a recording which he could not provide. He also refused to provide a detailed hourly breakdown, using the excuse of it being a “total project cost,” so I can only assume they do not actually keep track of hours as their contract states they will do. During this meeting, it was also revealed he had included a $300 “disposal fee” in our total, which was never discussed with us and cannot be found anywhere in the contract nor in the itemized breakdown on the invoice. All fees should be laid out clearly and they were not.

I highly recommend avoiding this company entirely as the owner is very clearly trying to scam his customers and does not honor the terms of his contracts. This was a miserable experience and had we not read the contract carefully AND gone into the office and received a “discount” making the price closer to the appropriate amount, we would have been scammed out of thousands. And even with the “discount”, we were still overcharged. Save yourself the time, money, and headache and take your business to a company with values.

The gentleman, Chris was courteous and personable. He knew his business and was very efficient. It saves me a lot of hassle and it was well worth it. He is an excellent example for the workers of your company.

Showed up for half the job, ghosted us on the second half, leaving a mess of deteriorating wood for us to have someone else fix.

Mr. Handyman provided great service and he would use them again. Tom from Mr. Handyman put together patio furniture for us and he was great. He was very professional and ensured to keep up us updated on his progress.

Chris was here and was so wonderful in explaining issues in are unit and gave us advice and he repaired our loose toilet we will be recommending him to our neighbors and especially our children

My technician, Chris was great! He arrived on time, was friendly, and knowledgeable! I am very happy with the installation of a dryer vent and exhaust to outside my brick home.

I had a leaky toilet in my 1890s era house. Hoping it was a simple reseal the toilet I had them come by. It turned out to be very messy under the toilet, with poor workmanship from previous plumbers. But Tom fixed it all! Great work guys!

I am very happy with the finished job however, I learned today that the quote that I was given did not include the supplies. I was quoted $600 for the job but ended up paying $700.05. I can’t believe that you would quote a re-grout job and not include the price of the grout, the caulk and the sealer. This seems a bit deceptive.

Mr. Handyman was reliable, dependable and very affordable. I would recommend them for both home and business projects.

We contacted Mr. Handyman for our shed which was splitting on all four corners. Garrett did a great job. He is professional, courteous and installed the reinforcements to the corners in good time. Shed looks great. We'll use Mr. Handyman again for sure.

Had a leaky skylight, and I'm retired. Their technician had to reschedule for later that day as his previous appointment was going to take longer and the weather that day was a factor. He arrived an hour ahead of the new appointment time and went straight to work. He was professional, polite, and answered any questions I asked completely. Mess and debris was hauled away and cleanup was more than acceptable. I am very pleased with the workmanship and would recommend Mr Handyman without reservation.

Chris did a great job: taking down old draw curtains and the tracks, painting drywall, staining new trim to match adjacent paneling, and installing new curtain rods. He cleared all debris before leaving, too. He was very patient and answered my questions, as well as making suggestions to assure that I was getting “the look” that I wanted for the room. I will definitely be calling Mr. Handyman again for other projects and asking for Chris if the task is in his repertoire.

I needed my trim around the house put back in place. The strong winds that we had made the trim loose. Garrett did a great job placing the trim in place. It looks like it did 29 years ago when my house was new.

They came out to change an electrical outlet to GFI had an appointment that was two weeks away. They called the day after I made the appointment and had an opening and were able to get me in that day very professional quick and extremely polite. Definitely recommend.

We had a horrible experience with Mr. Handyman. My assistant called them for what seemed like a simple job. Needed new garage door openers (just the clickers) for both doors and one of our garage door keypads wasn’t working so we either needed it fixed or needed a new one. I will save you all of the details, but they ended up visiting us 4 times (I think it was 4 - may be one more) over a period of about a month. It was always something. Need to order a part. Don’t have the right part. Of course, they were charging for service fees each time. And then after all of that was done, I still had a keypad that wasn’t working because the code would not open the door even though I the keypad was indeed new and I only had openers for one garage door. At this point, we we’re out close to $600 which was obviously inflated from the fees they charged each time which is ridiculous. When my assistant attempted to talk to them, she told them they needed to come back but we were not paying anymore, and that is when the owner started avoiding her and accused her of wanting free work. No sir, we didn’t want free work. We just wanted the work that we hired you for and paid you for to be completed. We finally gave up and called EZ Garage Door. They came once, we paid $135, and they finished the job. They got my keypad working and gave me the two openers that I never received from Mr. Handyman. I would never, ever hire this company again.

We are 100% satisfied with the service Cory provided today. He was very professional and did excellent work. We’re already in discussions about a second project at our home—highly recommend!

Tom took care of needed maintenance from the front to the back. He caulked two showers, cleaned an overhead fan and entry light, both required very high ladders. He replaced burned out bulb in bathroom shower fan. He aligned kitchen cabinet doors, and put wood filler where door frame was gouged by appliance delivery. On yet another ladder he scraped white debris left after installation by builder from 2 story high window glass. He did most of the work in helping us move loveseat from 2nd floor to garage. He alerted us to the places we needed a mason. Mr. Handyman of East Pittsburgh is the senior citizen's friend.

I needed an in ground basketball hoop installed and since I used Mr. Handyman for another successful job, I decided to go with them again. I am glad I did. Cory did a great job installing the basketball hoop. He made sure I was happy with the work and made sure it was installed correctly. I would hire them again!

I've had Mr Handyman do work several times now, and been happy with it each time. I especially appreciate how available they are and how soon they are able to schedule. I'll definitely be using them again.

Update: I've had Mr Handyman do more work and am still happy with them and will keep returning. Most recently Tom did an awesome job patching a hole in my ceiling.

First. I have been remiss in not posting previous reviews. I have had the pleasure of having Sean work on many projects in my home over the past two years. Sean can do it all. My first project was replacing underground drains for my downspouts/including grass seeding. Others have included waterproofing my basement utility room, removing family room paneling/hanging drywall/and painting the room. After I had a bathtub/shower replaced, Sean completed the bathroom installing toilet/sink/tile floor/electrical updates/painting. Today's project was to unplug my sewer. In addition he has completed numerous smaller projects. Sean is easy to talk to and will listen to any of your concerns and work with you to resolve them. I had received quotes from other companies on a number of these projects. I know that I have saved a lot of money by using Sean and Mr. Handyman. Summation: Sean means quality, can do everything,
works well with people, and fair pricing from Mr. Handyman. Also, a special thankyou to Melissa for all her efforts in scheduling and follow-up on my appointments.
