Mountain west is the lifeblood of our small business . Thier pricing is on point and extremely competitive with the larger supply houses over the hill. Everybody there is always so helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need . Dan is extremely knowledgeable , and if you need an item that is not common or a one off he will be able to get ahold of it .

Great service, selection and family style old school help. Delivery available for house packs and building supplies, they will bend over backwards to help and get what you need. Incredible help, like little yard gnomes. Lol

I called Mountain West Building Supply after being referred to them by Franklin Building Supply. I needed one interior door. I spoke with Kirby, and he told me what measurements to take in order to get my replacement interior door, and asked me to send him those measurements so he could help me out. He stated he would keep an eye out for the email.

When I did not hear back from him, I called the office and spoke to Lauren, who verified his email and suggested I send her a forward of my initial email to make sure Kirby received it. While on the phone with her she confirmed she got it.

Now, 15 days later, I still have yet to hear anything back from them. Kirby gave me the impression that he would respond to my email straight away. While he didn't explicitly state that, given what he inferred, I would generally assume some sort of response. Instead, nothing. They get two stars because he did tell me what measurements I would need, and did tell me how to identify if it was a left-hanging or right-hanging door. Everything else was a waste of my time and complete fail.

Good local place to go for hardware items and lumber. I actually found an item that I had been looking for at other places.

Use this place on a daily basis to get the lumber and other stuff to keep the ranch moving forward

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were promptly greeted and Lauren came to help us with our needs. She took quite a bit of time with us and showed us many options if what we were looking for. A great store and supply place!

Great local hardware store with great competitive prices with those over-rated big box stores over the hill...If they don't have it they'll order it and have it within the week. Better quality building materials than box stores, and knowledgeable staff. You guys rock...highly recommend you to everyone needing hardware, building materials, and other supplies.

Went in today to buy a 4x4 and needed it cut into 8 1' pieces as posts for a raised garden bed. Kiley helped me with what I needed and she was very helpful and really nice. She told me to drive around back to pick up the 4x4. The guy was very nice too. He cut the wood and loaded the pieces into my car. It was my first time at the store and I was very impressed with the service. Thank you!

Got most of my house packaged here when I built a new home. They have me a competitive bid, and delivered materials to me as needed. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. It's nice to have a local building material company. Please support our local business community when possible.

Decent prices, the customer service runs hot & cold. I went in a few days ago & got great service from a real super gal. Went in today stood at the register for >5 mins. There were at least 4 employees that I saw at the back of the store chatting away (and yes they could see me). I finally walked out leaving everything on the counter. Sad way to do business

Generally they're ok. But I'm not real impressed right now. I've been purchasing from these guys for about 2 years now. Not large amounts, just all the stuff I need to for my fixer upper home. And they've always been fine to work with, prices are about what you'd see at homedepot.
Placed an order for a door a week ago, they thought they would build it, turns out they have to order it in. I've called them each day for the last 3 days asking for some kind of indicator when it would be ready. Each time the answer is "uuuuu i don't know" I ask them to please find out and call me back. They never call me back.
I shouldn't be upset about something so minor, and they've been fine to work with up till now, so i'm not leaving a 1 star review. But I do wish they'd call me back!

great little building supply place. its the location and their service that make this place helpful. honestly I have places further away that offer better selection and price but they have the market in the Emmett area.
