Literally the best company on the planet! Between the work, the punctuality, and the extreme kindness this company simply couldn’t be any better. Cam and his crew were more than inclusive and amazing to my five year old son as well! We will never go anywhere else!

We requested a service call regarding our wood burning fireplace. The tech that came made several recommendations. The original call was November 2024 after calling the company on 4 separate occasions, on January 13 2025 (call #5) we received the proposal. It was incomplete. One of the biggest recommendations (that the tech noted on the service invoice) was not included. I understand oversights. But having to wait this long only to have something very critical to the improved functioning of our fireplace was off putting. I cannot recommend this company if you are interested in attention to detail and responsiveness.

Top notch operation all around: we received a referral from employee Jarmila Gorman, and worked with Marcy to get a level 1 inspection scheduled at a convenient time. Field technician Cliff did the work and was a true pro: friendly, courteous, funny, in and out in no time, thorough, etc.. What I appreciate most is the level of great communication: excellent followup to our initial inquiry all the way through Cliff explaining what he would do, then what he did, and what should be done next and when.

Hello Mountain Man Fireplace! On December 4th, 2024 Cliff (and understudy Matt) came to my home to serviced my fireplace. They taught me a great deal about my setup, and Set-Me-Up going forward! Great company for your fireplace needs! I've used Mountain Man for the last few years living in the Bailey area. Most recently, I needed some work completed on the flashing around my chimney. Nick came out, cleaned my wood stove, and provided a reasonable bid for the repair on the flashing. A few weeks later Josh and Dominik arrived to complete the repair. Before starting, they provided a detailed explanation of the repair. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I love being able to support a local business. Such great customer service. The crew arrived on time had so much knowledge to assist with all questions and concerns of our new home. They had all items for repair in the truck and fixed things efficiently.

They also kept a dirty job so clean! We had a new carpet where the fireplace was and there wasn’t a trace of dirt when they left.

Cliff (the technician I had) was incredible! He showed me how to actually use our gas insert (purchased home and it was already here and ancient so couldn’t find a manual online), and what each knob and lever was for. He left my 20-30 year old fireplace looking brand new.
Scheduling was super easy as well and you get a real, and local, person to talk with.

Cliff did a great job on our fireplace. He left our space very clean and was super respectful. We used Mountain Man last year and will continue to do so in the future.

Cliff and Sarah were excellent. Clean and efficient, but also took the time to thoroughly explain issues they encountered. Patiently developed a continuing maintenance plan based on those issues. Prior experiences with the company were similarly timely and professional. No complaints and I look forward to working with them in the future.

Cam and BN showed up right as scheduled, went right to work protecting floors and the surrounding area around our wood stove. Cam was very thorough with their findings, and talked through some minor things to do for optimum performance, and gave the stove two thumbs up for the coming season! We will be happy to welcome them back before the 2025 season. Awesome company and great people throughout!

Cliff, Dylan, and Ace were great. They always show up on time, do excellent work, and are reasonably priced. We will continue to use them every year.

Cliff and Dylan were great!! They made sure to carefully understand what I needed from them and to also specifically make sure I understood that if something did not need to be done, they would not do it and would not charge me for it. I really valued that and their professionalism. They definitely know what they are doing, and I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to service their woodstove!

The women in the office were wonderful—kind, smart and helpful. They gave me a demonstration as to how to install a new liner and it is now working great! Really a great experience! I might stop in just for coffee sometime!

Excellent gas insert fireplace annual clean service from the appointment set up, to the service call. I received an appointment confirmation call the day before. The service crew arrived on time. They wore shoe covers, put tarps on the floor around the area, and cleaned up after. Dylan was professional and friendly. My fireplace looks sparkly clean. The gas logs were also ever so slightly rearranged to enhance the warm glow of the coals - I love it!

Fantastic! They came out less than 24 hours after we called and got two gas fireplaces working with remotes after not being used in over 10 years, and at a great price!

My husband and I recently bought a house in Evergreen and had Mountain Man come out to do their first annual inspection and sweep. Cliff and David were really wonderful to work with and I felt so much better after their visit. They spent the time to explain what they were going to do and they walked me through their inspection to help me understand how everything went after they were done.

Also, I have an anxious dog who is a big sweetheart but tends to bark when strangers arrived, and they took the time to give him a few treats and lower his anxiety, which was a huge bonus.

Based on my experience with Cliff and David, I highly recommend Mountain Man Fireplace & Chimney and look forward to our next inspection and sweep.

They were very thorough in their inspection of our chimney and gas fireplace. Everything was thoroughly explained and they patiently answered our many questions. Both technicians are very knowledgeable and conscientious.

I had Mountain Man Fireplace come to my home (Evergreen Hiwan Ridge) to check out my 3 gas burning fireplaces just a month ago. Now 2 of my fireplaces don't work correctly. The next morning after they had left, where they were doing a routine check up, my entire basement was filled with gas, exposing my daughter, her husband and 2 grandchildren to GAS!!!!!, Danger and potential health issues.

When I called back, it took a lot to get someone back out to repair. I talked to their office and they were not interested in fixing my gas fireplaces. I have asked 2 employees to have the owner call me.

The owner has not called and 2 of my gas fireplaces do not work.

Absolutely do not use this company, they will rip you off and do not know what they are doing. I was hopeful that maybe the owner would call me back, but apparently he is not concerned either.

Cameron cleaned and repaired two of our gas fireplaces. He was conscientious, knowledgeable and clean. He showed great attention to detail. Cameron's personality and professionalism would make any employer proud. I would definitely use MMFC again.

I bought the Mendoza 33i Reflective Black Porcelain with Oiled Bronze and Oak Logs. My fireplace turned from a COLD DARK HOLE to a Warm, Cozy, Beautiful energy saving true fireplace. The installation was not long, but done so professional. Nick chose the best possible look with my awkward fireplace built from Moss Rock and turned my ugly, cold eye sore into beautiful and cozy. I’m so impressed with the effort to make it beautiful for my home. The warmth was instant compared to traditional log burning or cheaper versions of impostor inserts.

I cannot possibly say enough about this most valuable asset to my home! All were so professional from Liz to Nick and Grant. They truly produce everything stated from A-Z. I cannot say enough and am so grateful! I LOVE my living area and my wonderful warm home.

Great service with knowledgeable professionals. Cameron came out for an inspection /cleaning and provided great feedback and advice for moving forward - not to mention very friendly and respectful of our home. Confirmed multiple times that our pets wouldn't try to escape while he moved in and out of the front door. We'll be using Mountain Hearth & Patio for our wood burning insert.

This year Darius came to perform our chimney cleaning and he was incredibly thorough and thoughtful in explaining all aspects of the work performed. I'm extremely impressed with Darius' knowledge, thoroughness, and customer service. His level of detail was above and beyond what I'd see others do in previous years. Ranae and Danny came out to sweep and inspect the two fireplaces And she needs in our new home. They were very thorough as well as professional and extremely knowledgeable about fire safety and Cheney upkeep. They noticed my cap is not correct and instead of trying to do something now they decided it was better to go back and talk to the general manager to make sure they were doing it right. I can't say enough for the professionalism and solid work that Nick and his teammates did to fix our chimney. They arrived on time, ensured they prepared area for cleanliness, did all the work, explained all of the work, provided additional references and reminders on how to be successful in maintaining our wood stove fire place (which is extremely old).
