Motel 6 Huntington, WV

We had a great experience! Showed up very late at night and the night shift staff was very friendly and accommodating. He explained every thing clearly, and made me feel welcome! As a woman traveling alone, it was very helpful for him to explain certain things and it made me feel very safe. My little dog was welcomed without question and the room was very clean. When my key card suddenly stopped working, the woman working the morning took time away from her duties to help me out and even assured me that the deposit was coming back. Truly a great experience, and if you don’t understand why motels charge a deposit, clearly you’ve never worked in a customer service role.

There is a $50 deposit required that is not disclosed on the website. While pets are allowed, they aren’t allowed on the bed??? We were basically reprimanded for bringing a moving truck. The front desk guy asked where we are going to park it. We said you tell us, you work here. He said he didn’t know. He was very rude and judgmental, saying we should have called ahead. I told him it was not an issue at the past 3 motel 6s I’ve stayed in this week, and if guests need to call ahead saying they have a moving truck, that needs to be communicated on the website. I literally just wanted to check in and get my room key and go to bed. Not an awesome interaction after 12 hours of driving at 1 AM. The front desk guy was streaming Fox News in the background. Check out time used to be 11 but is now 10. Every other motel 6 checkout time is 11. Just annoyed with this for the $80 + $50 deposit I paid for the room.

Do not waste your time and money on this place especially if you’re blue collar worker once you get back from a long day and you’re dirty you’ll come up to your room to realize that they have taken all your towels and wash cloths out and don’t replace them go through your things while you’re not there and they came in our room at 8:30 at night didn’t even bother to knock jus washed right in woke my roommate up and I forgot to mention our first night in and the room was 40 degrees so we had to stay bundled up til the next day we came back and the heater was actually working. I have stayed at many hotels all over the states for work and this has been one of the worst ones I’ve stayed in.

Helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. This was a good choice for an overnight road trip stay. I will be staying here again.

Best price and clean room friendly front desk and housekeeper keep our room clean everyday we are staying here last 4 months now.

Stayed here a few times. It is a nice hotel, but pricey. For a late checkout they charge an extra night and Wi-Fi only works sometimes
