Cabor Roush visited in person and gave a detailed presentation that left us impressed! He answered all of our questions and had photos of current roof damage inside and out, then showed us how these damages would be repaired. Next we saw 3 different options for shingles and payment options. He showed us what our house would look like with the shingles we chose too. Cool!

Finnigan was wonderful to have out at my home! He was very thorough in explaining how MHI will fix a leak that has been troubling me for some time. Very helpful and friendly.

Jarrod came to inspect my roof on 8/5/25. He did an exceptional job and explained all the problems with my roof. He gave an estimate that I felt was worth the amount of work that had to be done. He made my wife and I very comfortable and we enjoyed talking with him.

Christian did a great and thorough job walking me through the findings of his inspection, including videos of the attic and on top of the roof. I would highly recommend him and MHI Roofing.

I had a contractor find someone to put a roof on back in 2018 for $8000 which I thought was a great deal. Within 2 years a began noticing water spots on my ceilings. I called MHI for an inspection. My inspector John did a thorough inspection then shared photos and videos with me of my current roof by going into my attic and onto my roof. I will not use subcontracted labor again after seeing how many corners they cut. I am grateful there is a company like MHI that does the job right the first time. Their whole team made the process of getting a new roof simple and affordable . Their labor warranty is truly unlike anything I've come across. The people that did my roof in 2018 won't even call me back or offer to do a repair. If I could go e MHI 6stars I would and I encourage everyone thinking of doing a roof to do it right the first time with MHI!

Finn and Brett did a thorough investigation on my roof and showed me videos and examples of what needed to be done with a great amount of knowledge. Alex and the roofing team were clear with their communications, did a great job and cleanup was thorough. MHI Roofing showed up to the appointment on time and was very thorough in their assessment of the attic and entire roof. He was who we felt we needed to be working with for our home needs.

We had Alex & his crew and they were extremely thorough and professional and did an outstanding job. We are pleased with the whole process from the estimate and the moments of getting information on the progress of supplies, down to the day of the job. Every concern/ question was answered. We had Darryl and Rony were the leads installing our roof and did an absolutely phenomenal job installing the entire roof in a single day 5/5 stars for them there. They worked through an incredible hot day and stayed till 9:30PM to get the job done, I can't praise them enough for that.

Since it was so dark when the job was finished we still had debris and nails in our yard that we've been finding since then but MHI has committed to sending someone out to take another look and clean up more.

One of the biggest issues we had that takes our review down to 4 stars is our project coordinator Bella's phone line was disconnected and it honestly felt like we didn't have someone to talk us through the project after we signed. Overall that poor communication with us was the main pain point.

I want to call out Darryl, Rony and their crew again though. They did incredible work through rough conditions. Thanks so much guys!

Edit: Talked with Steve and he was able to talk me through the communication issues which I really appreciate and co-ordinate the final clean up. The care taken to assuage my concerns was great. Thanks again Steve, Darryl, Rony and the entire crew.

Was able to get an appointment the very next day after calling. Xavier was prompt and very engaging with my daughter. Cooper came and he was just as engaging. Everything that they do to show you what is wrong is wonderful. You get to see what’s wrong with the roof not just hear about it which is extremely helpful. It gives you a better understanding of what is needed and why. I am really appreciative of everything that Xavier and Cooper did and will definitely send everyone needing roofing services to them.

Could not recommend a better company! They were very thorough from the time of the estimate, to the end of the project. Amazing job! From the first phone call to the consultation with Rob to the installation with Zayne this experience was top notch. Most impressive was the communication between the people of MHI and us. Every phone call was handled with impressive professionalism. The polished management of the project from Rob and Zayne was extraordinary. Zayne even waited 20 more minutes for us to get home to go over the project when he had a long, hot day and a long drive home. We have more roof to eventually replace and would absolutely consider MHI.

Over promised and way under delivered. Repair storm damaged soffit and fascia for a price in excess of $2000. Seemed excessive but I was promised a perfect result in quick fashion. The repair was to be competed within a week of signing the proposal. It took a month, with constant nagging to get them on site. The repair was inadequate as pictured. The aluminum fascia is not smooth. It’s wavy. I complained, was told it would be addressed, and now another month later no one has come. Look elsewhere to get your home repaired. I will.

Cooper Lawton was great to work with. They gave a great discount on my new gutters for being a return customer (after having done my roof 4 years ago). Very professional and courteous. I'm a happy customer!

Very respectful and professional guys! We had a leak in our roof for MONTHS before finding a roofing company that didn't look like a scam. MHI had an inspection guy out in a week and our roof was finished by the following week. Zayne Mangol was the project manager and he was super friendly and helpful! Cooper Lawton is a wonderfully knowledgeable individual. He is polite and considerate. A real joy to have inside of our home. We had roof and gutter damage after a heavy storm. Cooper assessed the damage and came up with a permanent solution to our basement water issues. We only had 4inch gutters trying to capture copious amounts of rain water. Cooper explained that a 6inch gutter system would allow for faster removal of the excess rain water that cascades off our steep pitched roof during heavy down pours. The 6 inch system stops water from ever reaching the ground, preventing it from seeping through our basement wall. And therefore keeps our basement dry!
Cooper worked with us to show and ensure that HHI roofing is a fully insured and credible company. With a full team dedicated to our project (We have some contractor horror stories from past projects that we shared). Cooper took all of our information and offered a very appealing financing plan. He was even able to extend a discount to us, that the company was using as a promotion! HHI is a top tier company! Cooper Lawton can be counted as one of the best representatives of his trade to meet you at your front door! His visit was a blessing and we look forward to working with Mr. Lawton and his company in the future.

Jared was professional and thorough in explaining all of the benefits of MH1. He took photos and videos of the current state of the roof. We are very comfortable with his analysis and recommendations for our roof. He is a true expert in the field.

Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Answered every question I could think of. Provided a full inspection and explanation. Recommendations were very solid. And the company seems very reputable, due to this experience.

MHI is a scam, the salesmen lie smoothly, and their claims are fraudulent both in-person and in their marketing.

MHI was sold to new owners and all the people who earned MHI a great reputation are gone.

Their pitch and marketing is all based on "Over 45 years in Business" and "great reviews" But the marketing handouts they give out are covered in pictures of the old owners and managers that left because of these new, scummy business practices.

Facts:
- They quoted a near $30,000 job and lied showing a chart that said the average is about $25,000... I had 2, sub-$10,000 quotes days later from AAA+ Rated companies with decades of reputation, premium certifications, and shingles at least as good but probably better. MHI uses Atlas brand shingles. There was no reason for the dramatic cost difference.

The MHI cost sheet showed they were charging me almost $10,000 just for the shingles.

They assured me that their special materials make up the higher cost compared to competitors, that they use a special underlayment and that other companies won't match their flashing or they use old porous tar paper. Lies.

The MHI salesman told me if I canceled getting quotes from any other roofers that I would receive a $500 credit for my roof. I got other quotes and saved $20,000 instead.

Please keep in mind, businesses can pay for reviews. And if I had went with MHI I never would have known how much they were ripping me off. I'd have been happy just to have a roof.

Because it's a necessity, and businesses shouldn't prey on people in desperate situations. I was going to lose my insurance. Insurance tells me I needed a roof asap or I wouldn't have a home. That is who MHI is targeting.

The manipulation isn't just a single salesperson. It's a top-down effort to misrepresent themselves and their competitors at every turn. Avoid at all costs. Their activity should be illegal.

Note that despite MHI's 7/9 optics-focused reply to this review, they have NOT reached out as of 8/5. I have docked a star in response to this.

Here’s the most critical takeaway:
If you're considering MHI based on previous positive reviews, know that the company was acquired in early 2025. As of March, management was replaced. Prior reviews reflect the former team. The crews may be the same, but MHI itself is not. Communication isn't proactive or reliable, which you may wish to know before making a substantial investment like a roof.

Our experience with the site crews was positive (exceptions regarding gutter install); their craftsmanship is great, but I spent over 25 hours trying to get basic updates, track down contacts, and follow up on promised communications that didn’t happen. The disorganization we experienced were disappointing. If that’s the experience I wanted, I would’ve paid another contractor less.

More detail:
We chose MHI in mid-January due to the company’s reputation over decades and the promise of a dedicated project manager. We signed a contract and paid a deposit for a metal standing seam roof with work to start ~8 weeks later.
Our sales rep, Caleb, was responsive until 3/6, advising that we’d book install in 2-3 weeks. By 3/24, we heard nothing. I reached out and got an undeliverable email bounce, which raised alarms. He was no longer with MHI, and our PM was a ghost.

After several email attempts, I called and got a call center. Staff repeatedly promised callbacks but there was no follow-through. Some mentioned that the issue was a software migration.

We are IT pros; major software migrations are how we put a roof over our head. It is unacceptable for MHI to shift the blame for communication failures onto software. By now, it was 10 weeks since the contract was signed, with no install ETA.

After 11 calls, I heard from Rachel in Production on 3/28. She said fabrication was complete but scheduling was delayed due to the system. The promised follow-up call on 3/31 did not occur.

Now up to 26 calls to MHI, I sought the GM; she too was replaced & I was referred to someone with “Victors”. After contacting Detroit-based Victors, who acquired MHI, I spoke with Jon B., the new GM, on 4/1. He estimated ~3 weeks due to materials, which contradicted Rachel. We were later booked for 4/14.

4/9: MHI Marketing wants permission to film the job for branding purposes, but changes their mind. Another symptom of disorganization and miscommunication.

4/14, install day: Woke to news that work was delayed due to the supplier. This changes; they start after all. The crew worked hard, swiftly, and were respectful of our property. Ralph, the foreman, was fantastic. Great craftsmanship made this 3 and not 2 stars.

It wasn't always clear what next steps were. I don't blame the crew because I don't view it as their responsibility to set those expectations.

4/18: Our job included gutters and snow rails. They didn’t order enough. No one communicated that; we had to ask about it & when the gutters would be done. Jon advises the gutters would be done on 4/21 and could schedule the snow rails after 4/28.

4/21: Unsure if the gutter crew are MHI staff or subcontractors – they were fast but careless and damaged one of the new hips in the process.

5/5: Ralph installed the snow rails - but no one communicated that he was coming. He inspected the hip damage and advised they'd resolve it.

5/7: We found more gutter install damage. We shared that and agreed to be billed in good faith that those would be resolved. We requested an adjustment to the invoice for extent of the issues. They adjusted our invoice down by $500. While appreciated, this is a token gesture in contrast with the delays, impact and losses we experienced.

6/3: Didn't hear for a while, I requested an update. Ralph was sent to fix the hips. They didn't give him the paint pens to address the smaller nicks. The cosmetics aren’t critical to us, but I do want to prevent material degradation. Those had to be ordered, but as of 7/6, we haven't heard anything else.

Very personable, knowledgeable person. Took his time to explain and was very patient with my husband’s million questions!! Feel really positive about this adventure.

Zayne and his crew were fantastic. We were comfortable with all the work that was performed and felt valued as customers. Clean up was excellent and they paid great attention to detail. Would recommend MHI to anyone!!!

Zane was a great project manager for our roof replacement today. He was personable, knowledgeable, professional, and available. He and his team, lead by Rony, worked seamlessly together and instilled confidence for me that the job was being completed as expected. I would highly recommend this team to any prospective buyers.

Finnigan did an excellent job of educating me about our roof. He was very easy to follow instructions and answered our questions thoroughly. He’s a keeper!!

Dealing with MHI roofing has been a great experience. Jeremiah was very attentive and answered any questions we had. Jeremiah did a great job at explaining what was happening, every step of the process.

Jake was awesome and was very thorough inspecting and explaining everything to me. Jake made me feel comfortable doing business with MHI roofing.

After MHI replaced our roof in 2024 we decided to replace our gutters in 2025. We shopped around and eventually landed on MHI again due to their great customer service, quick and effective communication, and our previous experience with the quality of their work. The true selling point for us was their warranty both on service/labor and materials- it’s truly unmatched by any other company we worked with. They aren’t the cheapest option, but they’re definitely reasonable and run a thorough project start to finish. We had the pleasure of working with Caber, who came out to our home and did a complete walk around/inspection of our gutters to compare to the digital analysis when working out a quote for the project. He took his time and answered all of the questions we had- even reached out to a colleague on some questions regarding financing and warranty terms/limits so that he could provide sure answers in real time without having to call/email us later. He even met our doggo who liked him as much as he liked her- and you know dogs are excellent judges of character! Thanks for your help, Caber!

TL;DR:
if you want the cheapest materials and the cheapest labor possible and are willing to gamble on the craftsmanship or commitment to the project then MHI won’t be your first choice.

If, however, you want high quality work, guaranteed and warrantied service/material, for a reasonable cost with no “gotchya” moments or surprises from a reliable company? You can trust MHI.

Xavier and John came out did an inspection of our roof, told us what was going on with it, went over all of our options and gave us a great price. Looking forward to working with MHI and referring them.

They were great and did a stupendous job on my roof replacement. The full transparency that they offer is important to me as well as explaining everything very well.

Stay away from this company. We had siding installed 12 years ago that came with a lifetime warranty. During the April 29, 2025 storm, 1 sheet of siding became damaged. We hired another company to replace the piece since MHI no longer does siding. I called to find out the manufacturer of our siding as well as the style and color so the other company could order and replace the damaged piece. I left messages and spoke finally to Nick. He assured me he would obtain the information we needed and call me back. After several days I called him again. He again said he would have to speak to his supervisor. Then still no call back. The owner of the siding company that was going to do the replacement called MHI. He spoke to Tracy. He explained the situation and sent her pictures and copies of our original install invoice noting the life time warranty. Tracy called me and again I told her the story and that it was just 1 sheet that needed to be replaced. She said MHI wanted to make it right and they would honor the warranty and do the replacement . She called me a second time to confirm she would be sending someone out to take pictures. Next she sends the installation person up to take pictures. Then I began getting voice messages from CP, (Connor) telling me it would not be covered because it was from storm damage. Odd, Tracy was honoring the life time warranty, knowing the story of the storm damage from myself AND the other company .
Tracy also confirmed to the siding company that was going to do the repair that MHI would be taking care of it.
Suddenly, change of tune. Meanwhile, for 3 weeks now we have been asking them the name of the manufacturer, style and color and they refuse to provide. Tracy has given every excuse including the company has been sold, they are transitioning systems and they cannot find our information in their records.
Too many conflicting stories from Nick, CP and Tracy.
Clearly there is something administratively wrong going on there.
I'd recommend a company that keeps records and when one employee makes a committment, the company stands behind their employees promise.

Great job replacing our roof. Sam Africa was a great site manager and guys were great at all they did. One day and done! Sam kept me involved the whole day, very knowledgeable and respectful and easy to work with. What an amazing inspection! We’ve been calling people and getting quotes but what Demaund just gave us was answers! He found problems in places nobody had looked before and knew exactly why these things were happening and how to fix them. The quote reflected all his findings with no problem left unsolved or for later. Nobody knocking on your door saying the jobs going to be more because they found this problem after tearing everything off. I highly suggest you give them a call before you choose the cheap guy.

Zayne and his crew were awesome. Glad they went over with us that the shingles did indeed need replacement but the roof beneath was still in good shape. Got the job done in one day, and the staff was curtious the whole process.

Ryan and Demaund gave our home a thurough inspection and showed us in detail all that was going on with our roof. Despite the serious condition they were incredibly helpful in showing us potential steps forward and explained in detail what our options were. So glad we had them come out!

Jared and Brett were very professional. They diagnosed the problem and provided three options for a solution. We’d originally thought we just needed a leak repaired but, after further inspection, they showed us where there were other areas the roof was failing and even developing mold. We never felt pressured to replace the roof and multiple options were provided. We ultimately decided to replace the roof.

Everything went smoothly until it was time to do the work. The associate doing the repair called me on his way to my house to tell me he is nervous about this repair? Upon arrival sat in his truck (he’s on camera) then left. No phone call or anything! I got a call from the installation manager telling me they can’t do the work with no specific reason given?! All after they talked me into financing and pulling my credit report. The unprofessionalism with this facia repair only (two pieces of wood) is beyond ridiculous also charging $3k to replace two pieces of wood is a complete rip off! Avoid these morons at all costs!

When I called MHI Roofing and scheduled someone to come out and inspect my roof I new exactly what to expect from past experiences with contractors and roofers. I expected the usual 2 middle aged guys that look like they have been on a job site since sun rise with know it all attitudes and never miss a mark to make as much extra money as possible. HOWEVER, This was not the case with MHI. A young man dressed very professionally for the job showed up on time and ready to inspect my roof. (I should mention that my house is 120 years old and vacant for 4 years with 2 rotted out valleys) The young man introduced himself as Cabor Roush. He and I both got on the roof, him higher than me, and we walked the attic inside together inspecting the rafters and discussing ventilation. Cabor had new state of the art equipment for testing attic temperature. At the end he showed me 3 different packages offered and was very knowledgeable about the products, building codes and the construction steps required. I then threw a curve ball and inquired about some custom work applied the Roofing. Expecting the usual, "Sure, we can do anything" response, Cabor called in a further expert to discuss the project and if it would void any warranty. In the end, as of this writing, I am very happy to have signed a contract with MHI Roofing. The professionalism that I was met with on top of grade A material and just the amount of time taken to explain everything thus far on this on going project was above and beyond my expectations. I not only recommend giving MHI Roofing a call for your project but I highly recommend asking for Cabor Roush by name to come to your place to do your inspection. Okay, so this add-on to my initial review is 19 months after installation. I am knocking the initial 5 stars to 3 stars. Reason being, per the pictures posted, this is how part of the gutter was left. Other concerns are that I was never contacted after the installation by anyone from MHI to see how things went. Not the owner, not the sales rep, nor the project manager. I also would have liked a detailed, itemized invoice of all the parts and their costs. One more thing is, I picked up a quite a handful of nails from the yard, roof, and driveway.
