Absolutely satisfied. We got quotes from multiple contractors. I was surprised how many no one got on the roof..... Except for these guys. Measured by hand and inspected by the owner so He knew exactly what was needed. Other contractors just stood in the front yard and told a price off looking up and going off Google maps. Efficient communication, clear pricing (others did not bother to take notes and the written estimate s reflected the lack of detail), timely scheduling qualifies these guys as the best in the Winston Salem are. I contacted Omar for a roof replacement based on his good Google reviews. He was very professional and gave us a very fair estimate for the roof repair. He explained the process in detail, showed us different color samples, and he even took the time to take some drone pictures to show us how our house would look with different colors. He was very considerate when we had some issues with the insurance company and were able to reschedule for a different date. When the work was done, Omar provided lots of pictures of the final work. Very recommended. On a side note, we noticed how he cared for his crew by working side to side with them and even buying them breakfast. That speaks a lot of the type of person Omar is. Believe me, I've dealt with other contractors in the past who do not even provide a bottle of water for their workers. If you need a roof replacement, don't hesitate to contact Omar.

Omar and his crew did a wonderful job on the roof replacement. They arrived the day scheduled and on time. FYI - This is the 3rd roof (different roofs and different contractors each time) replaced over the past 6 years. Omar was the only owner actually involved and a part of the crew doing the work. It was great to see the owner involved. Most only show up for collecting the payment. They were careful with the plantings and respectful of the property. Following a roof replacement, I always go back and recheck for nails and trash. You could count the nails found this time on your fingers. On past roofs I've found handfuls of nails and roofing pieces everywhere in the yard. This was not the case with Omar and his crew.
They were wonderful to work with and did a great job! By the way his pricing was fair and I think spot on.

Omar is the owner and from the time I requested a quote until my gutters were installed he was wonderful to work with; professional, extremely knowledgeable, and responsive to my requests. I trusted him and his price was fair. His employees were courteous, took pride in their work, and as many others have noted left everything in perfect condition. Omar also works with his crew. In addition to having gutters installed, I wanted to ensure any opening where animals might enter the attic were sealed and he made sure they were. He replaced a section of rotten wood. I had 2 areas where water was leaking into the house, and on the last day, when he came to do a final inspection of the gutters, he found flashing had come loose in 2 different places. He repaired it, fixing 2 leaks, which was not part of the original project. His company far exceeded all my expectations and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

After noticing a new water spot on my ceiling, I decided it was time to get some estimates for a new roof. One company told me I had significant hail damage to my roof, gutters and siding, but that they were experts at getting insurance companies to pay for repairs (no other estimates indicated hail damage). Another company showed up with super-slick brochures and manuals, which I assumed accounted for their high estimate.

Then I had Omar at Mendez's Roofing come out and take a look. He immediately struck me as knowledgeable and honest. After his inspection, Omar noted that the leak was coming from some cracked boots around the roof pipes. He offered to replace them and assured me I could get 2-3 more years out of my roof. When I asked to have the roof replaced now (for peace of mind), he quoted me a very reasonable price. Within a week, his crew was here and I was immediately impressed by their organization and efficiency. They finished in one day, and the clean-up was immaculate! We had an emergency roof leak and Joycelyn answered the phone quickly and relayed my urgency to Omar. Omar was on site within the hour and after a careful inspection we found the leak and determined it was a stone/flashing issue vs. the roof. However, Omar had the materials on hand and he was able to quickly make a temporary repair which was incredible considering it is supposed to rain for the next week. In the end Omar's price was fair and he was kind, professional and polite. His price was fair and we gladly paid him for his services. From the beginning of the project to the end it was a great experience, as well as very professional. The crew came in and did a total removal of my old roof, replaced some of the damaged boards and all of my exhaust systems on the roof, and install the new roofing within one day. Cleaned up afterwards, and you could'nt tell they were there. Highly recommend!

A couple of weeks ago I went upstairs to change my air filter and noticed a small water stain in my upstairs ceiling. My roof was 32 years old and a source of worry already but I knew I had stretched it out as far as I possibly could. I started looking up roofers. I immediately passed over the big names after having a series of bad experiences a few months ago getting pricing on a water heater installation from some bigger name companies with commissioned salespeople. I prefer local businesses and dealing with real, genuine people who directly oversee the work and aren't out to make commission on a sale.
When I saw the reviews for Mendez roofing on multiple sites I knew this was the business I wanted to deal with. I rely heavily on the Google reviews of prior customers when making my purchasing decisions and they simply stood out from the rest.
Mendez upgraded my old, tired sad roof from a drab gray 3 tab shingle to a gorgeous, multicolor architectural shingle at what I feel was a very reasonable price. And, less than 2 weeks later, I and my house are now safe and secure under a brand new, eye-catching roof. Though I was indoors working and didn't get to watch any of the installation, a few of my neighbors were very impressed with their expertise, and said they made that hard work look easy, though I know it was not. They left my yard as if they'd never been there.

We spoke with Omar about getting our roof inspected, and he was here the following day. He documented (pictures) the “problem areas” that would need extra work, and assured us that his crew could handle it. We had 4 different companies bidding for the job- but Mendez Roofing stood out from the rest. Once we approved the bid, Omar got us scheduled for the next week.The Mendez Roofing crew is incredibly proficient: led by Alfonso, they got to our house @ 6AM, and went right to work. Even accounting for the delay in them receiving the necessary materials, this crew had the job COMPLETELY finished by lunchtime (including cleanup- down to making sure all the nails and debris were picked up)!!! Our house looks brand new and we couldn’t be more satisfied. This brings us peace of mind, as well, knowing that our home is safe and will be more energy efficient in the future. Mendez's Roofing repaired the roof around my chimney. They removed my colored shingles without damaging them to allow reinstallation allowing my roof color to remain uniform. They removed and replaced the flashing around my chimney creating a more refined and custom look. They cleaned up the worksite and left my property looking as if the had never been there. We had an amazing experience dealing with Omar of Mendez's Roofing Service. We needed several repairs to our house and our shed that were not originally done properly by the builder that Omar corrected. He gave suggestions for a badly placed exhaust pipe and fixed two of our leaking exhaust pipes along with repairing a hole in our shed roof.
