Meek's Lumber & Hardware - Carson City

Searched all the lumberyards in Reno for a specific profile of siding I was trying to match on an old house with not much luck. At Meeks however, Richard was extremely helpful and searched high and low from suppliers for a couple days and was able to find the closest profile available in the industry (a nearly perfect match). He also brought up the option of having an exact profile milled if needed. This level of customer service is hard to find these days and they've definitely earned my business going forward.

The worst experience I’ve had with any business. Their mistake ended up costing me time , money , and all around stress because of a simple mistake on their end that escalated to their store manager Marc acting like a child and being petty after I chose to return the $4000 dollars worth on merchandise and go to Home Depot . On top of it their associate Kelly lied and changed her story about the items that they missed and charged me for the benefit of getting more money to the point that now I have to take it all up with my credit bureau. Shady and sketchy business. Store manager has problems and shouldn’t be running the store. Takes things personal and doesn’t want to work with you and regional manager was polite but really wasn’t much help. Still tried to charge me a 1000 dollar restocking fee for 2 bundles of lumber and some basic hardware. They made it nearly impossible the receive my money back while trying to patronize me through this all. Absolutely despicable behavior from Marc as a person and as a manager. After screwing up the order , charging me for items I never received, they still try to pull a fast one and claim that’s what was on the order and now we are charging you this fee and this fee. They practically tried to the last straw to make some money off of me for something that was their mistake in the first place. Marc doesn’t listen to you at all nor does he care about what you have to say if it doesn’t benefit him in the end. Don’t recommend at all , dishonest, rude, inconsiderate people. As of now I have a pending $3,300 out of $3,8xx.xx.
p.s. First time customer here , 24 years old and a new home owner , if this is how you run a business by bullying others at their expense, I highly recommend going anywhere but Meek’s.
