2 and 1/2 years ago our hot water heater blew while we were on vacation. It's been a struggle to find someone who would even come out and work on our basement. Just trying to find somebody who is willing to work in The Dalles has been one of the biggest issues we've had. It wasn't until we came across McKay's construction company that we had any hope of finding somebody to complete the work.

From the very beginning they have been everything we hoped for in a contractor. He listened to what we wanted right off the bat. We didn't have to justify our wants or desires. Nor did we feel like we we're being upsold on any materials. He took exactly what we wanted and made it happen.

When problems arose, he was extremely accommodating in working around the issues. We never felt like we were fighting for time or had to pay extra due to extending the timeline. We even discovered that we had small asbestos problem, after the fact. He took care of it before we even knew it was an issue. He also never surprised us with an upcharge on the extension of time or spontaneous issues that occurred, always going into detail as to why an add-on cost was present, before proceeding into the next phase.

All in all, I would recommend McKay's construction to anyone in The Dalles or the Columbia gorge for that matter who is looking to have work done. I trust his methods and workers to the fullest extent of their abilities. The work completed is gorgeous and everything I hoped it would be.

I hired Nate due to many personal recommendations from friends & family!! Best choice I made!! Professional, knowledgeable , kind, upfront!! Did an amazing job sealing my fence! Would have him do fence if I’d had known earlier? So highly recommend!! Will have him do future projects!! Truly reasonable!! The Best!!
