My elderly Mom was recommended to them by the car dealer. I don't think this company/ people are scammers they showed up late saying there GPS took them somewhere else, finally got there then walked around the the yard to replace a less then 50 yards of storm damaged privacy fence for almost 7 thousand dollars, said its was a bit higher because a tree was in the fence line and had to do something " special" to go around it. She said the work wasn't going to start for a few weeks, due to supply shortages. Afew week go bye and then tried to contact them aleast 20 phone calls, they may have answered twice. They where still saying they have not started becase the supplies are on back order from they're supplier. A few months later we tried seeking a refund. They ended up find out they told the insurance company that the job was done. Nothing could be farther from the truth almost 6 months later we have reported them to the BBC , and now looking into a lawsuit. These people are scammer and like most scammer they know who to scam and who not. I am very unhappy and upset these people are willing to take advantage of the elderly. For those with any good sense and dont wanna run after what's supposed to be upstading and professional company. In my opinion do not use this company period....

I wanted to keep my business with a local company but unfortunately Thursday's appointment came and went with no call no show, then I reached out and we rescheduled for Sunday, which came and went with another no call and no show. They gave different personal reasons for forgetting our appointment each time, and I understand that, and wish them the best of luck going forward, however I could not keep losing time to missed appointments and will go with a more reliable company.

I would avoid this company at all costs. A deposit was paid for a fence installation and after 3 months of promises that they would start the installation, no fence was ever built. The customer service representative suggested a refund check rather than waiting for a fence they would likely never get around to due to other large projects the company took on. The process to receive that refund check took over a month and a half due to the company's lack of communication (as evidenced by other recent reviews). In my experience, refund checks don't typically take a month and half to be issued, especially after being told it would happen within a week several times. This leads me to believe they would have held on to my money had I not fought for it.

According to other reviews and the owner's own response to a review, there are others who are still owed refund checks. If you are in that position, I would encourage you to find an attorney as that was the only way I finally got my refund check.

This company is so unprofessional and unreliable, we deeply regret ever using them. The initial fence installation went fine but less than 5 months later our gate fell after a very mild storm. We contacted the owner who promised he would come and take care of it, but after numerous excuses, he never followed through. My husband ended up having to replace it himself when we gave up after we waited for over a month for him to fix it. They were completely unprofessional and unreliable. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to come onto my property recently and place a new advertisement sticker on my fence, without my permission. We never ok’d them coming on our property and we certainly would not have agreed to them updating their sticker with their new number, when we would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, ever. Do yourself a favor and avoid this fence company. You will have nothing but problems and end up having to pay someone else to fix their problems or end up having to do it yourself. Do not make the same mistake we did.

I hired Joe Matthews Fence to install a gate operator. Nice Clean work. Took time to show me how to use the control panel. Showed up on time. Very Knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

This company is probably #1, everything considered. We used them for our vinyl privacy fence around our house. Their price was not even close to all the other companies, which saved us thousands. The quality was a 10 and Joe Matthews (the owner) was as professional as it gets. If you need any kind of fencing done, only consider this company.

My wife and I recommend Matthews Fence! We purchased our home earlier this year, and we decided we wanted a fence put up quickly. We got in contact with Joe Matthews and received a great quote. The next thing we knew, we had a simple-looking but strong fence installed around our property. During the build, a lot of heavy rain was in the area. However, that did not stop them from getting the job done.

After five estimates Joe Matthews provided the best price.  The work was performed in a very professional manner plus he was on site when he said he would be.  I will be needing more fencing in the future and he will be my choice to do the work. Thanks Joe for a great job.

Matthews fence installed a 6' gate in my driveway after a car drove through it .They where fast and professional and set swing of gate to correctly open so vehicle could go to garage with out gate interfering. Also found crew happy and entertaining as was a small job to them but still professional. There work ethics are sound and customer realation is great there are a caring company I would recommend them for any fence work large or like mine small. Great job guy's and thanks for the service

I had Matthews Fence build and install an electric driveway entrance gate for my home in Flagler Beach. Joe was referred to me by another fence company I first contacted to do the job. That company didn't have the experience/expertise to do the job and told me they refer jobs like mine (electric entrance gates) out to Matthews Fence. I met with Joe and felt comfortable moving forward with his company. Joe exceeded my expectations. Not only is he great at what he does, but he is a good person that cares about the customers. There were a few bumps along the way, but Joe handled them in a professional and timely manner and I'm very happy with the job he did. Highly recommend.
