During a complete gut renovation for our house, we overlooked the slate roof because our contractor was not well versed in that realm. After spending a significant amount of money on our interior renovation we now had leaks. We soon realized we needed to upgrade to a different contractor to handle the roof situation, and someone whom specializes in slate roofs!

Knowing nothing in regards to slate roofs we were in uncharted territory, after talking to a few roofers they recommended a new roof. After talking to a friend randomly about his new slate roof thankfully he recommended Mathews.

After a quick and professional visit and being the craftsman they are, they found the leaks. They were able to repair ours for fraction of the cost. Empathizing with our situation they bought us another 7 -10 years on our roof.

Having had a previous roofer who let me down and overcharged, I was cautious looking for someone new. Matthew and Marcin, put my mind at rest and any and all work they have provided has been amazing. Reliable and friendly, its wonderful know I can count on them when I need help with the roof and gutters. I have no hesitation in recommending Matthew Roofing, you will be making a great decision!

Matthew Roofing was a pleasure to work with. We spoke to a number of roofing companies as we debated about whether to repair or replace our old, leaky slate roof. Matthew and Marcin (father and son) both took the time to visit and inspect the roof, candidly discussed options and details, and ultimately gave us the most useful and honest advice. When we decided on a replacement, they quoted us a fair price and did a great job. The crew worked quickly and carefully, executing everything exactly as we asked, including moving some vents around. And Marcin was great about providing updates along the way. Definitely recommended.

Matthew Roofing is my highest recommended roofing contractor for top quality workmanship, knowledge of latest specialized roofing products, and professionalism. For these reasons I don't consider using other roofing contractors on my own home.

It's been nearly 10 years since Matthew and his team installed a new roof on my home and still going strong with no issues whatsoever. His suggestion to add low voltage heating wires along the gutters and in a stubborn area to prevent ice dams has worked like a charm. Super professional and clean crew. Can't recommend them enough!

Our kitchen ceiling sprang a leak when a storm hit us earlier this week. We’d gotten Matthew and Marcin’s number from our realtor when we bought our house, so we gave them a call. They answered the phone right away and said they could come out and give us an estimate first thing the next morning (and to be fair, the wind was too strong for anyone to safely go up on a roof that same day). When they got here, they went up and took tons of pictures of the roof, explained exactly what the problem was and how they’d fix it, and they gave us a price quote that was significantly lower than any of the other roofers we called. Marcin came out again first thing the following morning and fixed the problem, and then before he left he took the time to walk us through exactly how he’d fixed it. On the whole, Matthew and Marcin were polite, responsive, and knowledgeable, and their prices are extremely reasonable. We’d recommend them to anyone.
P.S. We waited until another storm hit us to post this review. The storm’s now come and gone, and so far so good – no leaks in sight!

Matthew is an incredibly honest hard-working roofer. I have known him for many years and he has worked on my house on many occasions. He has never taken advantage of me from the first day I met him until the present time. I find him to be 1 of the most trustworthy contractors I have ever worked with. I have owned 2 houses and has used many contractors through the years for numerous different projects. He is truly 1 of the best.

Matthew has been taking care of our old slate roof and copper gutters for about 20 years. They do annual maintenance (several gutter cleanings, inspect and replace broken slate as needed, etc) for us, and it is a painless process -- they keep track of the schedule and come timely without my having to call, reasonable prices, thorough clean up. We have done several large preventive projects (install ice shield etc) which have held up perfectly now for well over a decade. When we have had to call for emergencies, they have always been super responsive, come promptly and done great work. I highly recommend.
