Marsh Construction

Marsh construction did an excellent job rebuilding a 14-foot section of my block wall and reinforcing it, and raising the height of another larger section. They did something that is hard to find: They showed up when they said they would, did the work they said they would, for the price we agreed to. I couldn't be happier with the work.

I had a small patio I needed reroofed. I know most companies would prefer large jobs, but Marsh jumped on it. Due to spring weather in ABQ, had to cancel first attempt. Which they communicated throughout the process very well. End result was even better than what I was expecting. Definitely recommend!

I had the pleasure of getting referred to JK Marsh for a roof installation for a property I had in Rio Rancho. JK is excellent to work with. He is responsive, helpful, patient and kind. I had a tight deadline and him and his team were able to accommodate and complete the installation in a timely manner. I highly recommend JK and his team!

I've used this company for brick work, dirt work, gravel, and multiple concrete jobs over the last year and a half. I will most likely be calling them again in the next few months. Prices are reasonable and have not had any issues with the work that has been done on my property so far.

JK Marsh came to our house and gave a very good estimate for a new concrete patio. The work was done the next week. His crew was very nice and answered all of our questions and did a quality job in a timely and affordable manner. Very professional, would recommend them.

We hired Marsh based on a recommendation from a friend. We had several smaller projects involving plaster repairs and painting. The big project was repair and replacement of rotted wood on two redwood decks. The workers showed up on time and cleaned up thoroughly. The replacement wood is beautiful and matches the original. The decks look brand new with two coats of Penofin. Everything was masked professionally and there was no overspray damage. All estimates were accurate as to price and time-frame. I definitely recommend this company.

Marsh helped us with plumbing in our master bathroom. The gentlemen worked long hours to make sure everything was done right. We are looking at hiring them for our next project and so should you!

They did a great job repairing a concrete wall for me, I was very satisfied with the work and everything they quoted to have done was very reasonable.

Marsh Construction did a remarkable job re-piping my house to remove the polybutylene pipes. I was particularly impressed with Hector the electrician and Sergio the plumber. Their hard work and dedication is impressive. They are very kind and respectful of me and my property. They really went above and beyond what they had to do.

Everyone I came into contact with from Marsh Construction was courteous and extremely dedicated to doing a great job.

The water down time was minimal. I was able to stay in my house while everything was done. This was not the case the first time I had a major leak and had to “fix” the leak and discovered the obsolete pipes.

I only have one minor suggestion, which is to prep the homeowner if a re-piping is necessary. It would have helped greatly if I had known which cabinets and closets I needed to clear out before the workers arrived. This resulted in some frantic time and minor inconvenience. Not bad, considering the scope of the job.

Overall, everyone did an outstanding job. I cannot express my gratitude and how happy I am with the results. They completed the work quickly and efficiently. They kept me informed on schedules and any changes in a timely manner.

The work was completed on time within 2 weeks. They did such an impressive job that you can’t even tell where they had to cut into the walls. Everything is working well, and I am very satisfied with the job.

JK Marsh construction completed a complete makeover on my home. Roof, stucco, paint, swamp cooler to air conditioner without incident. I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend JK Marsh to those needing all the above services. Very professional and prompt with their services.

We had a total replacement and a warranty and surprisingly enough we can get a free inspection once a year and repairs done if there are problems. The roof is holding up really well and repairs get done in a very timely manner if needed.

My job was at a residential home, relatively small, adding about 250 new blocks, including 25 pilasters, to raise an existing cinder block wall and fixing a 12 ft section that was loose all the way to the footing. Also there was existing landscaping pavers that needed to be protected. Good cinder block wall construction can be costly and I was nervous about the job, but after talking with JK Marsh, I was confident that they were able to do good work, complete the job in a few days and the cost was acceptable and very competitive with estimates I had from other contractors. The workers were professional and the workmanship was excellent and turned out much nicer than the original as built walls.

He is such a wonderful guy speedy expert no messing around you’ll be amazed at the work. He is very professional and does quality work. He is a very caring Individual. I will use him many times going forward. Thank you Mr. marsh

We had a very positive experience with Marsh construction installing a retaining wall for our side yard. Communication with the office was efficient, the construction quote was professional, and work was completed quickly and with top quality as agreed upon. They did a great job with some concrete I needed in my back yard for a hot tub. Everything was how I wanted and done in a timely manner. Mara answered all my questions and helped make the process very painless.

Edit: 6/29/2024 It has been just over a year since I had my roof replaced by Marsh. This evening we had a deluge of rain and discovered leaks coming into the house in two different locations. In 22 years I never had any leaks from my roof. The replacement was due to hail damage from 2021. Mind you there is supposed to be a 25 year warranty. Unless they are willing to come out and repair the leaks, I'm going to say that they should NOT be trusted to do roofing work, as they seem to have caused MORE problems to my roof than missing shingles.

They caused unnecessary damage to the stucco on my house. I paid several hundred dollars to have my ac removed and replaced, only to have it dropped and has not worked properly since. I also paid another several hundred dollars for residential supervision, which wasn't done since I was told they didn't know about the ac being dropped until I complained. I had vents replaced with a different type, which I did not know about till afterwards and they do not ventilate the attic properly. I had toxic fumes coming into my house for several weeks. When I tried to resolve the fume issue, the owner first said he smelled it and later said he didn't. The solution he suggested was ridiculous and did nothing to alleviate it. Despite my efforts to deal with the owner he lied to and about me and ultimately terminated the contract and left me to deal with the sloppy mess they left on my property. I strongly urge anyone needing a new roof or any other construction work to find a company that practices better work ethic. There are plenty to choose from. The person who made the referral to me regrets doing so as she ultimately changed companies to do further work on her properties. I regret working with JK Marsh and would take my hail-damaged roof over all the problems I am left dealing with.

I met with an older man from the company to give me an estimate on a slab of concrete for a patio. He wrote down a price, flashed it to me, and expected an answer that moment. I asked for the quote so I can discuss it with my spouse. The older man said he would email it to me which he did not. I emailed the company and requested the quote again from Mara Marquez, who informed me her boss was not yet done with the quote and will get it to me asap. I never received the information. If they didn't want to do the project, they could have just said so. Plus, the way the older man flashed me the quote and would not email it to me seem very shady. I do not recommend this questionable company.

Every aspect of my experience with Marsh Construction was positive, from meeting the owner, John Marsh, when he came to look at the concrete work I needed done (replace my drive way and a couple of concrete slabs in the sidewalk); to getting a phone call shortly after John left, from his bookkeeper saying she just emailed the written estimate; to the work crew doing the work, quickly & professionally. I am totally satisfied with the finished job and was happy to write the check. I highly recommend Marsh Construction.

Started as promised, 7:00a.m. took out side walks, 10:30 framing, 12:30 pour. And 3:30 finish and clean up. Great job!

While visiting with my sister last month we noticed there were somethings that needed to be fixed around her home. Mara made this process awesome from start to finish. A sympathetic ear, professional, and painless!!! Very thankful they could get the work done quickly and with a fair cost. Only bummer is they’re not in Michigan for my hubs and I to call on. They completed a driveway and drive pad for us last month. The work was done quick and the handled all of the permit work involved. Was happy with the quality of work and professionalism. Would highly recommend!

We needed our sidewalk replaced and were very pleased at the job they did for us. They cleaned and hauled away all the old cement and we're very professional in their dealings with us. Must add a Great Price as well. Highly recommend Marsh Construction.

Had a wall tear down and rebuild. These guys are extremely hard workers, they do quality work and they are fast. Highly recommended.

I have to edit the review unfortunately. Cracks are developing in the concrete right over the old cracks.

Marsh gave bad advice, and communicated very poorly throughout the process. They didn't mention that the concrete needed to be watered while it was curing due to high summer heat.

I initially wanted to remove the concrete and replace. However, Marsh and his concrete guy were worried about damaging the stucco. So they did an overlay.

The end result is a slab with rapidly expanding cracks right over the original ones, that doesn't seem to be fixing the original issue. I'm now out 5k with no fix.

They may be good at other things, but do not hire them for concrete.

Marsh Construction redid our sidewalks after the city had ordered them repaired. JK was great in estimating the cost of the work, follow up and throughout the process in answering questions. The work crews were professional and completed the project timely and well done. Overall, a quality good job was done. Highly recommend!

They did 2 curb cuts, driveway and a concrete pad for a shed. All work was great and the staff very professional and friendly , top to bottom . I highly recommend them!

OMG, excellent work. Not only do they do roofing but they did quality driveway pad. And they they made a pad for my future shed. Great price! I will definitely hire them on future projects!!!

The workmen were very professional.They did an excellent job installing the retaining wall additions, and cleaned up the work site very well.

Called Marsh construction 5 weeks ago was very responsive at first. Came out few days later to get an estimate. It has now been over four weeks since I've heard back from them. Steve left me a voicemail two weeks after the estimate saying that he'd get back to me on a Friday never heard back. Gave it one more week still did not hear back. Call the main office talk to the Vonda multiple times said that Steve would give me a call here we are four weeks from last contact have not heard back. I know it may take some time but no updates on a job is ridiculous.

We used Marsh Construction to replace our damaged roof. They did a phenomenal job from start to finish! Warren was meticulous in working with our insurance company to get us a good settlement and keeping us in the loop. The guys on the crew were careful with our plantings and worked hard to get our roof replaced quickly and done right the first time. We highly recommend them!

Wow. These guys did phenomenal job and worked really well with my insurance. I was expecting to do a lot more work, but Willis handled everything and was really prompt at getting back to me! My roof looks great and I would highly recommend these guys again.

After the July 30th hail storm damaged many roofs in my neighborhood Marsh Construction was on the ball, and one month later I have a new roof. They were efficient and professional and communicated with me on all aspects of the work. Great job, and it wasn't as disruptive as I had feared, my dogs tolerated it just fine, which was a surprise.
