From start to finish, working with Major Home Improvement to replace my roof was exceptional. Tom (project consultant) provided me with an estimate that was clear and pressure-free. David (site manager) and crew went above and beyond to make sure the job was done to perfection. The roof replacement and even the clean up was all done with such care and attention. I was communicated with each step of the way and I never felt stressed - it was truly the best experience I have had with a home improvement project.

New Skylight installation. Professional care from the outset. Tom was initial contact and then Dave and team for actual installation. No muss, no fuss. Very professional. Work was very neat and kept me informed throughout the install. Highly recommend this company and team!

Major Home Improvements did a fantastic job on out roof replacement/installation and our new gutters with gutter guard. Everyone from each team was professional, courteous and friendly. They arrived on time (or early in one case) and kept me updated throughout the project.
The new roof was completed in about 12 hours (same day) and the gutters took about 3 hours. Everyone was professional and left almost no trace that they had been there (other than the beautiful new roof and gutters).
We look forward to using Major Home Improvements again for siding and windows.

The people who work for this company have been top of the line. The communication was incredible. Calls with updates, making sure we were good if there were any changes to a day or time that needed to be made for whatever reason.

And then the work itself was phenomenal with 13 workers on our house for two solid days, sun up to sundown and then wrapping it up just as they said they would.

Even the cleanup was incredible. The guys treated my yard as if it were their own. I was blown away.

Final shout out to David who I believe acted as the foreman on the job. He was super professional, helpful and friendly at all times. I can’t be happier with their work. So glad we went with them!

Just had our home and separate garage roofs done by Major Home Improvements. David the crew chief was very friendly and professional. The crew worked for 12 hours to finish before it started to snow. They did an excellent job with the roof and clean up. My husband and I highly recommend them

This was the first time we used this company for our home improvement needs and they were great. We needed one window replaced because of a broken seal and 2 new small custom made windows. The windows came in sooner than expected and were expertly installed. The two gentlemen who did the work were very nice and patiently answered all our questions.

This is the second time we've used Major Home Improvements for a large project, and both times our experience was top-notch! For this latest (new roof) job, the dumpster and roofing materials were delivered a day before the job was scheduled. The next day, the crew arrived early and got to work immediately. David, the "project leader" (my words), kept us updated throughout the process. They removed the very large old roof, replaced it with gorgeous shingles and meticulously cleaned everything up in a day and a half. We will contact Major for any future projects and highly recommend them for your needs!

With a well organized, efficient and coordinated crew, Major Home Improvements came to my newly purchased home to replace its aging roof. They came on schedule and replaced my roof in less than two days time.

I was impressed and pleased by the work. They took care to cover the siding and plants to protect from debris and cleaned up when finished, leaving the yard nearly as clean as they found it. I found only a few minor stray scraps of packaging materials in the yard and one stray piece of shingle in my yard thereafter. The shingle got caught in a tree branch and fell down later. No big deal. I highly recommend them.

Now, it hasn't rained since the work was completed and time will tell how well the roof stands up to these New England winters. But I'm looking forward to not worrying about the roof for many years.

I am so glad to have found this company. They were quick to communicate, approachable, professional, and additionally they offered financing options. The price for a complete roof reconstruction was very reasonable (I've been shopping around for a couple years) and I felt very comfortable speaking with the owner and employees. I did not feel bulldozed as I had with other contracting companies. I felt safe to ask questions and was not made to feel vulnerable or foolish.

During the actual work portion, I was amazed at how efficiently and effectively the crew worked. I was home only a couple times during the work hours, but each time it was like watching an instructional video on how to optimize time, materials and manpower. This sounds so dramatic, but I was truly impressed and even my neighbors commented on it and sent me a few unsolicited update pics, marveling at the skill. My roof looks beautiful, and my yard looks like they were never there.

Major Home Improvements did an A+ job on replacing the plywood and shingles of our roof. The workers got everything done in one day and cleaned up our outside lawn of all trash produced during the job. They also fixed a leak in our roof and repaired the inside ceiling affected by the leak along with the side house beam. All workers were courteous and willing to please any of our requests.

My elderly parents recently contracted with this group for a new roof on their own story "L" ranch and were very happy with the results. Major Home improvement did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. They also worked very quickly which was great because my parents get unsettled very easily so getting the job done in one day was huge. They also did a great job cleaning up and were easy to communicate with during the entire project. Two thumbs up!

After having multiple companies come to my house to give me estimates to redo my roof I read the reviews for major and decided to have them give me an estimate also. The reviews are accurate. They were very prompt to our appointments, professional, and courteous. After the initial inspection they were able to schedule me in a short period of time. They outbid the other companies by thousands of dollars! At the end of the job they were able to save me a substantial amount of money from the initial estimate on materials and labor. They saved me tons of money and got the job done in one day! I highly recommend major for your next home improvement project.

These guys arrived in uniforms and knocked out the job in 7 hrs with additional replacements that had to be done and they did not stop. They moved funiture and moved it right back to the same spot and kept me engaged in the process

Our neighbors had a new roof put on two doors down. I was impressed with the efficiency of the crew working on their job. I made a mental note that when I needed a new roof I would talk to my neighbors and see if they were happy with the job. Then I received a cancellation notice a few weeks ago from my insurance company NGM(Main Street America) saying roof was too old. So I did check with my neighbor and they had high praise for Major Home Improvements. The sales manager Tom came and gave a presentation and went thru all my options. It was no pressure. Quickly I learned that it is a family run business and the operation is top notch. Less than three weeks they came and replaced my roof in three days. It was a very challenging job but they did a great job. The job and crew were managed by Zack, his father Vasi and Angelina kept us in the loop start to finish. Great Company that truly cares about the quality of the job and customer satisfaction.

After several windy and rainy days, we ended up with a leaky roof and ceiling. It was temporarily patched while I dealt with insurance. I called 6 companies for quotes on the repair. A few companies said we need to replace the entire roof and would only quote me for a full replacement, but it's only 14 years old and I really wasn't prepared to do that given the age and the fact that we just bought the house less than a year ago. Insurance also only covered the cost to repair the damaged section. I met with Tom Smith at MHI and he gave me several options that fit what insurance would cover. We had a covered porch with a leaky roof as well so we opted to repair both at the same time since that quote was within my budget. He kept both quotes and payments separate so I could keep things organized for the insurance company. I really appreciated that! On the day of the repair, the crew showed up around 7:30am. They were so efficient and did a great job! Both repairs were done by early afternoon. The main roof repair was smooth with no major issues. They discovered a good amount of rotted rafters in the covered porch, though. Tom notified me immediately so we could discuss the next steps which involved sistering rafters and then adding all new plywood sheets on top. It was something I expected we might find given the condition of the roof. The team finished up and then swept the yard for any nails, screws, or debris. All in all, a very smooth experience with MHI. Tom is wonderful to work with, and the site manager and crew were also really great. When it's time to replace the rest of the roof, I know who to call.

Just had my home worked done by them and it went super smoothly and faster then I thought it would take. He came over right away and quickly gave me an estimate. It was the best price that I had been quoted considering the materials I was looking for. It took only a few days and they were finished. Once completed, I had a few questions and called Steve. The best thing was that Steve picked up right away and immediately contacted Vasilie, the owner. Vasilie came the following week and addressed my questions. He even went above and beyond to make the finishing trim look amazing. Their quick action really demonstrates Major Home Improvement’s attention to customer service. Vasilie even called a few weeks later to check that I was satisfied with their work! Another great experience with Major Home Improvements

On a Saturday I noticed that my daughters’s room had a leak in the closet. I tried to find the source but had no luck. I had Vasilie’s number after he had done a great job for us on another project. I thought it was a shot in the dark but texted on the weekend, I was hoping he would text on Monday. About ten minutes later Vasilie texted back and said he would stop by to take a look. His response time was faster than some of my closest friends!
He stopped in and looked at the closet and roof. He gave me a couple of solutions that hopefully would stop the leak or reduce it. This was at no charge as he was just trying to help during a very stormy weekend. I went to the store and got the recommended items. It definitely helped with the leak but it didn’t fully stop it.
I texted Vasilie back and asked if he could stop in and give me a price to fix it. Again, he instantly got back to me and we were on the road to the fix. He repaired it by the following weekend and the closet has been bone dry ever since. Vasilie and Major Home Improvements are my go to for any home project or emergency. They are fair, honest and reliable. I recommend everyone to give them a call, because they will always call back!

ROOF INSTALLATION: CertainTeed Grand Manor, Slate look asphalt shingles. After numerous quotes and consultations for our farmhouse in Westfield, MA, we were inclined to work with Major Home Improvements because of their professionalism from the start. Vitaliy the owner has personally visited the job site multiple times and offered an extensive knowledgeable opinion that made us make some amazing changes (the pitch of the roof and Gable vs hip) that completely transformed the look of the farmhouse! I've used Tom, Vasilie & the team @ Major Home Improvements for two projects in the past year and I've been satisfied both times. Whether it's scheduling an estimate, showing up on time, or completing the job in a professional manner, the team at Major Home Improvements will meet or exceed your expectations every time. I recently had my home's original 1930's basement windows replaced; they completed the work on time and made sure I was satisfied. We had initially gotten the roof inspected by one of those free mail ads. The roof was 20 years old and needed to be done, but to every homeowner’s unpleasant surprise, we also needed new decking and updated venting. With a baby on the way, this big of a home renovation project was very overwhelming, especially as young homeowners. We knew it was important to get it done as soon as we could. Steve at MHI reinspected our roof and made the process of installation so easy and got it done so much faster than we could have expected! I shopped around quite a bit before choosing this company. And let me list the reasons I chose this company in the order in which they occurred:
#1 individual I first had contact with Steven, had all the right information and helped come up with something that met my budget. Most important thing is, I felt comfortable through the entire interaction.
#2 dealing with this company you deal directly with the owner, present and working on job site. The level of expertise and knowledge of everything they do was some thing that was obvious to me as they did their work.
#3 the professionalism with which each and every employee carried themselves, and way they go over and above, making sure that they leave no debris behind even if it’s mixed in with the leaves in the backyard, they use magnets to find any loose nails they use netting to catch things before they even hit the ground. This probably deserves its own individual listing, because of the way they truly cared for my property, I can’t stress this enough, how important it is, and how my comfort level remained throughout the entire experience. (An example of them going over and above, I had a loose stair on my deck that was constantly flipping over because we had to keep going by there and over there when they were doing the work, there was quite a bit of passing through that area as I have a fenced in backyard. It was not their responsibility at all, but the owner himself fixed the stair with some nails. I know it was a simple job, but it is the thought that counts)
#4 I had some other work done, and they came back out quickly, even though they are heavily booked, and installed an exhaust vent through the roof for a bathroom vent and light I had installed on their lunch break from another job they were doing. So number four I would say is their true dedication to their customers. When you’re their customer, you’re their customer for life.
#5 they are extremely affordable they worked with my budget. They even found me a way to pay multiple ways some cash on hand some financing.
I can’t stress, this enough, if you have roofing needs, or any need for any of the services provided by Major home improvements, look no further called them. They are the best for the job and won’t let you down. In fact, you’ll probably be feeling like writing an extremely long and positive review of your own.

I cannot say enough good things about Tom, Vasilie & the team @ Major home improvement. Everything was spelled out clearly in the quote, they were clean and did an amazing job. Working on a building built in the late 1800's is not easy, but was no problem for them. We had new windows, siding and aluminum put over the eaves. Mid project we realized found a leak in part of the roof & Major home improvement was able to preform the repairs while onsite. We were so Impressed that we had them come back a month later and put a new roof on our warehouse. I Highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again!

I can't overstate how professional and honest Major Home Improvements is. They did a great job putting a roof on my house, and were able to get out more quickly than any of the other companies I called. That said, of course you don't notice any challenges or loose ends until the first big rain storm. There was a small issue, and I called and the owner was at my door within an hour. He took responsibility for the problem, no arguments, and made things right. Not many companies will do that these days. I was pleased with the job MHI had done to begin with, but this really sold me. I'll be hiring them again for a second job and probably more in the future. EDITED 2024: Major Home Improvements just finished their third job on my house. They were fast, reasonably priced, and left everything clean and in good shape.

Major Home Improvements is a fantastic company! I highly recommend them! The roof, gutters, and downspouts turned out excellent! They were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish!
