We recently completed an encapsulation for our crawlspace. Live in an older property in West Ashley and had discovered a significant moisture issue. David and Vince were here for almost a week doing demolition, fuming, encapsulating and installing a dehumidifier. They did an outstanding job! David was awesome he was attentive and communicated well for each phase. The professional installation and follow-up are consistent and above and beyond expectations. I would give them six stars b/c they are just that much better than their competitors. Highly recommend them - really the only choice for encapsulation and crawlspace care and maintenance!

FINALLY. People who actually do what they say they are going to do!
Encapsulation (after moisture damage repair) is a couple weeks old as of this review.
I can't find anything worth complaining about. Each team member that showed up during this process, from damage assessment to pricing quote to signing the contract, and then all the hands-on folks who got dirty, did their job right.
I went under the house and put my hands on the repairs before the encapsulation personally, and I was satisfied. The office folks have addressed follow up questions quickly.
This house needed serious floor repairs and now I'm satisfied the house is ready for another generation.

I think the prices for the work were fair. If you think it's costing too much, YOU crawl under there and try doing the level of work with the speed and expertise these folks did.

Lowcountry Crawlspace is a team and they totally did right by us.

We recently had Lowcountry Crawlspaces come out to lift our crawlspace and add a permanent beam to fix some uneven floors in our old house. The crew was phenomenal from day one from estimate to the end of the project. Communication was clear, prices were fair and the crew even showed up a day early to perform the work. Chad was awesome. He came out for my annual inspection. He let me know that everything looked great. Was having issues with the monitors on my dehumidifier and he fixed it in 5 minutes. With your crawlspace you really just want peace of mind and these guys help you have that.

I had moisture issues in my crawlspace. Lowcountry crawlspace added a perimeter drain, sump pump, and full encapsulation. Communication was always fantastic. The crews finished up before the promised end date. Great company to work with. I highly recommend giving them a shot at your crawlspace issues.

It's been just past a year since my crawlspace encapsulation and therefore enough to see how things have gone. Still to this day, they are an absolutely wonderful company to work with. It's always been a pleasant experience and I've always felt like I was a valued and important customer. Contacted Travis to get a quote for removal of old insulation, and installation of an encapsulation. He sent out a tech (Kyle) to get details and explain everything technical, as well as prepare the quote. I got one competing quote, and LCS was a bit lower but I alsoalready felt their strong customer service presence and commitment to detail, so it was a pretty easy choice.

After agreeing to the work, they gave me dates for prep and installation. They showed up when they said the would, and the technicians that came out and seemed to be crew leaders (Shane and Daniel) were both excellent at customer service. They explained what they were working on, how everything was going, and made sure site was clean afterwards. They truly set the bar for how companies should be represented, and it was appreciated.

Overall, working with LCS was simple, efficient, clearly communicated, and all at the best price. I’d definitely recommend them to friends and family to produce quality work.

Travis and his team at Lowcountry Crawlspaces were great! I had foundation leveling/bracing and encapsulation work done. Not only did they provide excellent value (they were the most fairly priced), they were extremely responsive and professional. I will certainly be using them again for future foundation work. My only complaint is how far out they were booked, but this is probably a testament to how well the company is run.

Go with these guys if you need foundation work done. It's not a GC/Subs relationship like some companies, and you aren't paying for a large amount of overhead like some others. They showed up and finished ahead-of-schedule. Quality contractors are so hard to come by these days. I'd rank Travis among the elite.

We found Travis to be incredibly professional, honest, and responsive. His quote was fair and market based. I was given notice when the clean-up was to happen as well as the encapsulation ahead of time and again on the day of service. I was given notice when the work was done as we did not live in the residence at the time. After we moved in, Travis was there for any follow-up questions with quick and accurate answers. We lost the keys to the door, so he was out the next week to install a new latch lock, free of charge. We highly recommend this business.

In January 2021 Lowcountry Crawlspaces did a crawl space encapsulation with a dehumidifier. Trent and William showed up and were very professional, on time, and answered all my questions. Beneath my house looks awesome, and I can already tell a difference in the air quality. I can't recommend these guys enough. They will not disappoint! Posting this for my husband, Kevin Kraft, because he was so happy with their service!

We noticed some of original hardwood floors were turning up. We have never lived in an area with crawlspaces so after googling it, we figured out it was called cupping and needed to be dealt with or we could ended up having extensive damage. We met with two companies but after meeting with Lowcountry Crawlspaces, we knew they would 100% get it done right the first time. It was a no brainier for us. Plus, two of our neighbors highly recommended them so we knew at least two happy customers. They came on time, on the days they said they would and while it was different crews for each "project", it because they clearly specialized in that part of it (i.e. drainage system vs encapsulating). I didn't feel like there were any issues or had any concerns that something might not be done right. Their crews were also very friendly and professional. Definitely one of the better contractors we have dealt with in the area. I can't say enough good things about them. They even sent me pictures when they were done! And we signed up for the warranty plan so for small annual fee; they come and check everything, do maintenance/upkeep and provide us with a 20 or 25 year warranty (I can't remember exactly how long of the top of my head but it's one or the other.) That peace of mind was important to us after making the investment so I was glad they offered it (although they definitely did not pressure us to take it; which I also appreciated as I hate sleazy sales tactics.) They were knowledge, honest, and reliable... We are very happy we went with them.

These guys went above and beyond to fix the water damage in my crawl space. All really great guys, professional, and got the work done within a week of the estimate. They matched the estimate I got from another company who couldn’t do the job for over a month, and was surely not going to do as much work as Travis and the guys did. Seriously what a relief to find a local company like this.

I can't recommend Lowcountry Crawlspaces enough!!! I helped a buyer find a home in the Charleston area and we had some concerns about the crawlspace area. We were on a very tight deadline and were running into a lot of issues trying to find someone who could fit underneath the home and assess the condition. I reached out to Lowcountry Crawlspaces on a Saturday, he was out there that Monday afternoon and sent his findings and estimate over that same day so we could meet our deadline. This is the only crawlspace company I will ever use or recommend!!!!

We were about to buy our dream home when we discovered extensive termite damage, rot, and moisture in the crawl space. The sellers wouldn’t fix it, and we had a limited budget for repairs.

Lowcountry Crawlspaces gave a thorough inspection and estimate to fix everything. I’ve gotten half a dozen Crawlspace encapsulation estimates, but only Lowcountry Crawlspaces guys’ knowledge and professionalism gave me the confidence to buy the house, knowing I had a plan to get everything taken care of within budget.

They delivered above and beyond my expectations. They really did the job right, adding in extra framing in a few places they found additional hidden damage and working an extra day to ensure it was all in awesome shape all while sticking to their original estimate. Everything was on time and on budget, and looks better than I was expecting. I’ve been under a lot of crawlspaces myself and reframed one, and I inspected all this work carefully in person. It looks awesome.

Okay, y'all. I am not the person who leaves reviews for every little thing but I have got to tell you, these guys are FANTASTIC. If you have any needs in your crawlspace -- and you probably do, Charleston--, this is the company to use. They are great communicators, have fair prices, but best of all they are genuine and sincere and make what could be a dirty/dusty/crawly job seem enjoyable! Travis and his team (especially Akim!) are professionals.

When we moved in to our new house, the crawlspace was moldy and in serious need of repair. Lowcountry Crawlspace did a great job cleaning it up and getting rid of the musky smell in our house. We highly recommend their work.

Job was done quickly. Communication not the best. Job was pushed to later in the day, late the night before the job was to start, then rescheduled to original time all within 30 minutes.

Was informed after the job was done they wouldn't be removing old HVAC that was no longer in use. Perhaps it was foolish on our part to consider that to be part of the job since it was no longer in use in the same crawlspace. However, upon original inspection, one would think that would have been covered (so be sure to ask specifically).

A worker came back 2 days after initial clean up to place drying equipment for a day or two in crawlspace, which was fine. Worker texted late on Friday afternoon at quarter of 5 asking to come by at 7 to pick up equipment. We stated that's fine, but wouldn't be back at residence until 730. Next text we got was from worker stating they had taken it upon himself to let himself into our closed and gated backyard to get the drying equipment. We found this to be quite intrusive and not very professional, considering we felt we were accommodating to change plans to be home to let them in upon their request.

Owner then requested payment later that evening, sent multiple emails and texts over a holiday weekend continuing to request payment. On first business day back, we received more requests for payment via text message. We replied quickly, stating we would submit payment by the end of the day, which we did - after which we did not receive a follow up thank you for your business, etc or anything like it. Not the best experience.

Highly recommend Travis and his team. Excellent professionalism and communication. Pricing is very fair and their work is beautiful. I am so excited about the invest I made with Lowcountry Crawlspaces. The results of my encapsulation were instant! I sleep easy at night knowing my home is safe thanks to their work!
