Absolutely the poorest excuse for a company there is. Their customer service can’t follow directions and schedule anything when you give them your days off! Then finally the guys showed up and then started stating that I would owe additional money when I had a signed contract for a particular amount hence he packed his stuff up and drove off !! I would never recommend this company for ANYTHING!! POOR EXCUSE !!!

We had a building installed October 2024. It has been a nightmare.
We had the county come out to do inspections and about half the anchors were not installed. My husband had to stay up for long hours to get this corrected as quickly as possible at our own cost since Longhorn indicated it could be weeks before they could come out and the inspectors were returning.
Our doors are not installed correctly. They are all unlevel. The crew that came out swears that the doors are correct even though the left sits higher than the right.
We paid $500 have the exterior bottom sealed during installation. That hadn't been done. A crew had to add this after the fact. NOT worth $500 at that point.
Our roof has been leaking. It is STILL leaking. Multiple crews have come out - all of them in the DARK. The last crew said the roof was messed up and needed to be replaced. Longhorn called and said it needed to be repaired. It was now spring and they were in their busy season and would have to work us in. It will be July in a few days and they still have not scheduled.

Arrived an hour early than expected and went straight to working on my carport. Very satisfied with the four man crew and the carport. Would highly recommend this company.

They did their very best and our carport looks great. Thanks to George and the 2 brothers for their work and what turned in to friendship after they were stranded on our farm when their truck broke down. If we ever need another building , we will get it from them.

Ordered a 20x25 carport from the local dealer, received an email from company and was waiting on call like the email stated. No further contact until I called and then they could not find my order Evan though I placed a 10% deposit. They blamed the issue on there dealer. Day of install (Thursday) the crew arrived led by a guy named Freddie. The carport was put up quickly but Freddie said he did not have a machine needed to anchor the carport and wanted to come back the next day (Friday)but due to previous travel plans I was not able to accommodate them coming back the next day. I had to make several call the following Monday to get Freddie back to anchor the carport. Received a call from the company and Freddie saying he would be arriving In the afternoon at 4pm to complete the installation. Freddie arrived 1 1/2 hours late and did not bring back any machine just hand tools they had during the install. I received a text from someone at Longhorn Tuesday to follow up and I asked for a call back from a supervisor or manager to discuss the delay and the terrible installation. No call back. If you are interested in a steal building or carport find another company to work with.

I really wish I had gone with a different company. I purchased this building and when it was installed, all of the vertical metal studs were NOT level. I told the installation team and they held a level too it and said it was level, directly lying to my face. I took the level from them and held it there and it in fact was not level whatsoever. I called longhorn and they sent an inspector who confirmed it in fact wasn't even close to level. instead of sending a team I requested a $1000 refund, since this wasn't acceptable and it would cause issues when I installed the insulation and interior wood. I had also ordered an underseam water gasket for beneath the building, which they failed to bring and in turn failed to install. This worked for me since they were charging $400 install, and $100 in high quality caulk solved easily. Next my building leaks every single time it rains. huge puddles in the center. ive sent videos and pictures and called Sarah multiple times and yet still have not received repair. My building is under warranty and should have been installed correctly, the first time. I have been very patient, this is over months of waiting and requesting service. the building serves as a metal machine shop and CANNOT have water incoming. At this moment I am still awaiting service. I paid FULL PRICE for this building, and received sub par discounted workmanship. I had recommended friends to use these companies resulting in sales, and now I deeply regret it. I wish I had chosen another company. will update if there is any change. Also, all of the paneling has bubbled, indicating it was not installed with enough room for heat expansion

UPDATE:
Team was scheduled to arrive yesterday to do the repair on the leaking roof, which I made sure I was home and available. They never showed up I did receive any calls or voicemails, and longhorn never called me. Longhorn called me this morning saying that the team was here, which does not work for me because yesterday I made space for the repair. The contractor showed me my number he called and called it, it did not connect, the voice on the line even informed him that the call could not be completed as dialed, and my guess is because it required a 1 before the area code, which was his fault. He began arguing with me which made me even angrier. They left without providing any service or repair, drove their truck and trailer in an area on my property I did not give them permission to, and then drive it through my grass and pasture. This has been an exceptionally horrible experience

LongHorn Steel Structures provides quality structures and great install teams! I had a 40’x50’ custom metal house and a 30’x40’ garage built by their install team in 14 days!! Amazingly fast, good high quality American Made Steel! Would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an affordable way to build their custom dream home!!

I like this company. Very friendly, answered all my questions, and the crew were great. I got tired just watching them work! Beasts! They did a great job and cleaned up everything. I highly recommend this company.

Their tag line should be "2-6 weeks". When I placed my order, I was told they could have the building up within 3-4 weeks. So I rushed, got concrete poured ASAP. They even asked me to sign a waiver for placing building on concrete before a 30 day rest period. I signed. But we've now been waiting since the end of March. About 7 weeks. Still being told 2-6 weeks whenever I call. How they have no clarity on install timelines amazes me. 3-4 weeks has turned into maybe 12+ weeks. Super disappointed.

On time, courteous, great work ethic, friendly. No surprise cost, just a good group to work with. Sales team did a nice job. But the four workers set installed and erected the carport, we’re just throwbacks to the hard-working. Keep the nose to the grindstone type of help I grew up with I haven’t seen in a while. . They exceed my expectation and the carport looks wonderful in place where I put it for a Goat shelter.

I placed an order back in Late January for a 30x50x16 metal building through a third party company called Surmix Steel. I spoke with Elvia to confirm that Surmix Steel has worked wi them and she stated, Yes".The order actually was placed with Longhorn Steel building. After signing my purchased order with Surmix Steel I had added a header seal for both 14x14 doors but when the order transfered to Longhorn steel I was told by staff that it was not in my order even though it was on my order with Surmix Steel. Now I have huge gaps at the top of my doors and neither company appears to want to fix it. I have had to speak with several staff at Longhorn and even after showing them what I ordered through Longhorn steel. On their order the spot that had the header seal in the description of the Steel doors they gave me one showing it said just the door. Definitely shady practices. Even when I had been waiting for the install date I constantly got the run around before actually get my appt sent

WOW! My building looks great, even better than I expected. The crew was amazing! They worked like a well-oiled machine. They were very professional, courteous and efficient. They walked around several times to makes sure there were no scraps left behind. I will be recommending Longhorn Steel to everyone I know. Great job!!!

I would give 0 stars if at all possible. Scheduling with this company is next to impossible. You better have the ability to take a couple of weeks off and just wait around on them. I own a business as well and I abide by my schedule which is also a hard schedule. Not "sometime in the next 2 weeks".

I wish I could add another or could reply to yours. From the dates you gave me, I might have been installed the first week, it just "depends" on where your order is loaded. I work out of town too, and when I tell a customer I will be there, I better be there. Y'all lost this customer. I hope you lose many more based on my review alone.

I would recommend everyone to buy your product. I was pleasantly surprised of the quality. The install crew did a fantastic job. Price was great with install. I absolutely love my carport’s, yes that was plural. I bought 2 carports 2 different heights. Both were installed same day. Thank you so much.

I ordered a barn from them. It arrived two weeks before the last promise date!
The building exceeded our expectations! The crew was unbelievable. It was a real joy to watch a crew put this building up! They worked together like the the marine corps silent drill team!
In 10 hours start to finish… this massive structure was done! The (Reuben Crew) they even hung a couple street lights for me while they were up on the top, with all that said… they were professional, respectful and very conscious of respecting our property. Then they walked the entire job site to make sure they did not leave behind any loose shards of metal or dropped screws! What a class act this s crew certainly represented Longhorn Steel are cutters like they owned the place! Don’t hesitate to call longhorn for you steel structures!

UPDATED; ultimately the building was completed and it was built well and we are happy with it. The back and forth, conflicting info and amount of time I had to spend dealing with this company were not professional or pleasant but at least in the end we have a well built structure and the crew that installed it was professional and efficient.

Original assessment;
So far my rating is one star, I’ll update once building is installed, it’s been 7 weeks since I sent photos showing site was prepared. My contract states install will occur 2-4 weeks after I submit proof of site readiness.
Install was scheduled last Tuesday or Wednesday according to the rep that called the week before. I called on Tuesday and was told it would be later in the week but I had to work so they’ve noted my account that “I was unavailable for install”.
They came yesterday, installer said no go because it was too far from driveway, ( I sent 4 pictures and 2 videos on 1/29), muddy, (true), no electricity, (we told dealer that was the case and told rep when she called to schedule installation), and they needed to be able to drive all the way to site, (again we told everyone the site was accessible but not by truck as is in woods, but yet they never said it was a problem during any previous conversations).
After speaking with office they said installer only told them site was muddy, (still true), and very steep, (news to homeowners) but they would get us rescheduled and be sure to send installer with a generator, (shouldn’t crew have had one considering we told them there was no electricity) No comment front longhorns on other issues installer gave us for not installing. 24 hours later I call them and they now say they are “shooting for end of next week”. No date just “shooting” and “end of week”. We don’t work from home, can’t work from home and can’t take off without something that resembles advanced notice. 2 or 3 days is not enough at this point considering we have already taken 3. They haven’t called or returned calls when they said they would so I’m not holding out much hope that they will call to give me an actual day so we can plan accordingly. If we had been told in the beginning that we had to be at their disposal we would have gone in a different direction.

I experienced how a buisness should operate when someone.makes a fairly large purchase. From the salesgirl on the shed sales lot to their manufacturing plant who make the metal buildings for them. From Palmetto Sheds Lexington sc Ariel was very professional and helpful. She sat down with me and helped me design exactly the building I wanted, directed me as to what permits and paperwork I’d need to get it on order and was very patient;never pushy , offered advise on pouring concrete slab, and told me how the process would work once I payed my down payment. Sure enough after she turned my order in wasn’t but a day or two a lady from longhorn steel called me to confirm my order. She very throughly covered every detail from siding color, trim color, placement of windows and doors, dimensions, etc. I in turn explained putting it on concrete but not yet poured. And she gave me details and proper paperwork to obtain permits. She said to just let them know when slab had been poured and explained of curing time and we would figure out a date for delivery and set up. I did and we figured out a date that providing weather allows the crew would be heading my way. They arrived as planned and proceeded to work like I’ve never seen a team of 4 guys operate. 4 hours from stepping out of their truck to cleaning up and loading their tools back up to pulling out of my driveway. Very professional and VERY good at what they do. Customer service at Longhorn stayed in touch with me thru the process, and has reached out to me to make sure I was happy with everything and to just let them know should any problems or questions regarding my building. The workmanship, quality of their buildings, customer service, follow up, etc. 2nd TOO NONE. By far exceeding my expectations and I’m a very picky, semi protectionist, just retired old redneck riverrat out of West Columbia, SC. I’ll fill this one up and see if zoning and permit department will let me buy another!!!

Longhorn's customer service kept me informed every step of the way. 3 weeks after my pad was poured, their crew showed up.Assembled the entire structure in 1 day.Did an excellent job. Would highly recommend.

Have many issues with this company after hurricane Helene damage on our previous carport. This is how they left the screw anchors what the screws sticking out to inside of carport. This is hazardous to catching your foot on and tripping or catching your ankles on. So not I got to get someone to come cut the screws off before someone gets hurt. I have requested a paid in full receipt and been over 2 months not received my receipt yet.

Install of the building went great! The three guys were top notch. Jose, Pedro and Alex were professional, knowledgeable and are some of the hardest working guys I’ve had the pleasure to meet. I’ve had my fair share of contractors over the last few years and these three set the bar higher than it’s ever been. These guys need to be recognized for their hard work and dedication. I’m doing my part, and I hope the owner of Longhorn see’s their value and gives them proper recognition. Well done everyone.

I must say that this is the Best place to get a carport. They always keep you informed. They are quick on delivery and installation. Only issue I had is after installation I found a pocket full of screws, so be sure to search. I am very pleased with this company. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Building was not set where I had it marked off. Crew forgot the trim for the building. We agreed on a discount for not completing the job. Now the office harasses me constantly telling me I have a balance when the crew (who didnt speak english) agreed on a discount. This crew also used my electricity by unplugging my fridge. This fridge was left unplugged all day and lost all my meat and wifes breastmilk. Very unprofessional from the start to the finish. Spend your money elsewhere. I wish they could take this crap building down and give me my money back.

The crew that installed our garage were great. They worked non stop until it was finished and they cleaned up work area very well. I was impressed with them and the garage. Turned out better than I imagined.

In the process of setting everything up I needed a structural paper showing wind zone wind rating structure rating and they charge me $228 for a piece of paper for the inspector. I think this is bullshit and longhorn steel sucks in my opinion if they charge me anything else Will drag their carport into the middle of the road and leave it for them. They suck. I do not recommend if there's any other options. It has to be better than. These people terrible customer service on the phone terrible company Not to mention, they busted my waterline cut my Internet line never said anything

Longhorn steel was fantastic to work with. Fast, competent, friendly and informative. We never felt like we didn't know what the next step was in our building process. I would highly recommend them. When I have another building need in the future I will call them.

Longhorn Steele Structures were professional, personable and knowledgeable. I had a 20'x20'x10'H Carport installed.They guided me through the whole process, from Permitting, Scheduling, Installation and Payment.
The onsite crew were excellent in communicating the install process. They definitely knew what they were doing. At completion, they cleaned the area of trade debris (sheet metal screws, scrap metal, etc). Communication was excellent with the office staff and the onsite Installation crew. My County inspected and approved the finished product, it met all Code Requirements, zero issues. I would reccomend this company and product without hesitation.

Tried using these guys and lsot two days of work. First they were supoosed to be onsite on 8/20 stayed off of work and waited on them to come. They didnt show up unstil 7:45 pm. This was to late to work, so they dropped their trailor and left. The installers came back on 8/21 and got started working. After working for aobut 2.5 hours they realized that they did not have all of the supplies needed to do the job. Ther goes another day of lost work. I contacted these guys and exlained the situation. They wanted to put the completion of this work off for another week. How long does it take to have the parts shipped in from NC?

These guys are the most unorganized company I have ever delt with. I would certainly look else where for a more dependable company to work with.

Realize that a low price is not always the best route. You get what you pay for.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Long Horn Steel Structures. After they completed the initial work on my building, several issues came up that required repairs. Despite numerous attempts to contact them, they took an unreasonably long time to respond. When they finally did get back to me, they made promises to fix the problems but never followed through.

Once they had my money, their customer service became non-existent. They stopped answering my calls and messages altogether. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I trusted them to provide quality service, but they failed miserably. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration and find a company that actually cares about its customers.

Great quality building. Staff is very good at communicating and keeping the customer informed on the status of their building order. The process of building a 1600sf metal garage was surprisingly easy with Longhorn's help.

The contractor got thr job fone in one day and it looks great. I would not hesitate to use Longhorn Steel Structures again.

Worst customer service ever. I would give them zero stars if possible. They were a nightmare from the beginning of this process to the end. Measurements were sent to them, they called me to verify, and I repeatedly told them I can't verify them, because I wasn't the one who took the measurements in the first place. Then when it came time to install, they never came when they said they would and when they finally showed up the first time, the guy wouldn't install due to a wooden pole he said was in the way. I had no way to fix that myself, as my husband works out of town frequently. They called him and said they would hold onto the materials until he was back home. So fast forward to nearly 7 months later. The lady who schedules the installs calls me and sets a time for them to come back in June when my husband is home. We are given a time frame, which by the way is a joke, because they didn't show up until 6pm at night! Who the hell installs a shed at 6pm at night? We were not home, because my husband had waited all day for them and figured they were a no show, so we left to go grocery shopping. The dude calls us to tell us he's at our house, to which we said we wouldn't be back for 30 mins. They kept us waiting so why not return the favor. They left and didn't do the work. They then rescheduled for Monday, June 24, 2024 and again do not show up until 6pm at night. Seriously, what in the actual hell?? All 4 installers didn't speak English well. Imagine how difficult it is to convey instructions to these dudes. I told the one guy just do the install and leave me alone. It started raining and lightning and it was dark while they finished the install. Afterwards I was pressured to sign a paper when I didn't feel comfortable signing because I wasn't able to inspect the shed. They also claimed to clean up the mess and debris, but that's a lie. I was finding metal parts & screws in my yard. My dogs even found pieces and if they had swallowed that, that would have been a hefty vet bill. They also left screws in my pool. I took photos. Then today the woman calls to see if it's ok to send the guys back to clean up their debris. No ma'am, I lost my cool. Ridiculous that they couldn't do it right the first time. I don't want them back on my property.

Choose anyone else but this company. Absolute incompetent morons. They do the work at night so it's dark by the time they are finished and you can't inspect their work to see it's correct. Shady business practices.

I placed an order on Dec 21, 2022 for a 24x46x14 carport from a company in Statesboro, GA. Longhorn got the contract and the carport was installed on Jan 27, 2023 and the crew did a great job putting it up. Communication wasn't the best. They would text message me to ask for photos of the build site and to update me on install schedule but would not respond my questions via text message or relay info to the install crew on how to access the build site.

Update 9/27/24. Hurricane Helena came took out another company’s building but the long horn survived.
