Working with Lighthouse was a wonderful experience for my family’s kitchen renovation. Jeremy and the rest of the team guided us from start to finish on this project. They took care of us by setting up a temporary kitchen and made the time without a real kitchen as comfortable as possible. They communicated with us constantly and they showed up when they said they would. Jason, the lead carpenter, was awesome to work with throughout the project. Overall, I was impressed with their attention to detail, craftsmanship, open lines of communication, and the friendly atmosphere they embodied throughout the project. Lighthouse Contracting Group did an outstanding job on the total renovation of our home. The project involved demolition and removal of everything inside the house down to the studs, including all electrical, plumbing, appliances, fixtures, flooring, insulation, etc. They removed some walls and moved others, removed the chimneys, replaced many of the windows with larger ones, added some new windows, replaced all of the interior and exterior doors (including a large slider to the deck), built a kitchen island, moved the laundry room upstairs, created two rooms and a half bath in the previously empty attic, added a small front porch, expanded the deck, added a gas fireplace, and installed all of the replacement cabinetry, flooring, appliances, bathroom fixtures and showers, heating and air conditioning units and duct work, and a hot water heater. Along the way, they acquired all of the permits and variances, repaired areas of rot, leveled flooring, installed new steel beams, replaced all wiring and plumbing, re-insulated all walls and ceilings, painted walls and ceilings, and replaced the roof. After seven months, we have a nearly brand-new house.

We worked with LCG and their designer for about a year to make all of the structural design decisions and finish choices, and to choose all of the appliances and fixtures. As we were doing this renovation from our primary residence 500 miles away, it was critical that LCG maintained thorough daily communication with us. Each day from the beginning of site work, we received a log of each day’s activities plus up to a dozen pictures of overall progress and key issues. We also had weekly virtual meetings with the lead carpenter/project manager. This process allowed us to monitor how closely LCG stayed to the design. The lead carpenter was outstanding in his communication and appreciation of our taste and decision-making process, and his finish carpentry work was beyond reproach with a perfectionist’s attention to detail.

As must be expected in a project of this magnitude done with us not being on site each day, there were some unanticipated changes. These issues largely comprised specific aspects of the finishing process in which LCG made some decisions while we would have preferred them to talk through the issue with us in advance. In one other instance, the original plan to take siding from the back of the garage to re-side other areas proved to be infeasible and the exact style of replacement siding was no longer available. Still, LCG offered a solution that was satisfactory for all of us. We also incurred some additional costs for a few change order items that we thought were in the original scope of the project (noting that the Scope of Work document was 16 pages long, which is a testament to the size of the project and LCG’s thoroughness, but also was impractical for the customer to fully comprehend in advance).

In sum, the craftsmanship, organization, materials and personnel were all excellent. The communication plan was thorough and extraordinarily helpful, though it did fall short in a couple of comparatively small instances. Clearly, LCG has earned a five-star review.

The level of attention to detail, customer service and knowledge of the latest building trends and materials sets the Lighthouse team apart from the rest. Highly recommended!

By far, the most professional contractors I have ever worked with. The entire team was cohesive, communication was phenomenal, and they kept to a tight schedule!

As a background, we built out over 2000 square feet of basement space in 3 months- project included design, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, painting, carpentry, flooring, insulation, fire sprinkler, and alarm work. The number of individuals and subcontractors involved was staggering.

The core team (Jeremy, David, and Cody) managed the overall project- their attention to detail and quality is second to none. I could not be more pleased with the final product.

Lighthouse Contracting recently finished our lower level refresh/remodel, which included a family room, bar area, 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. Having worked with Jeremy Doucette and the professional craftsmen of the Lighthouse team on other projects, when we considered completely remodeling our Winnipesaukee townhouse, we knew there was no reason to consider any other contracting company. In fact, because of our history, we expected both outstanding carpentry and very little stress. Planning the project with Jeremy and Lauren Milligan, his design associate, made the decision making of the design process far less intimidating. The team’s consistent communication was impressive! Living two hours away from our townhouse, we were delighted to receive daily status reports containing project videos and photos. Every Thursday at 2:30, Jason would initiate a Zoom meeting, during which he would provide a comprehensive project report, show us his progress, and ask our opinion! During every weekly Zoom meeting, Jason requested a positive and a negative comment. Although we were sorry to disappoint him, we never could share a negative. Furthermore, he would occasionally call to ask for our preference on the position of a knob, to clarify the color of the fireplace trim, etc.

The quality of his work and that of the subcontractors was excellent. However, excellence did not come as a surprise. In all our Lighthouse projects, the professionalism, attention to detail, commitment to quality, and pride of the team were obvious! Furthermore, in all the projects that Lighthouse has completed for us, we noticed not only the congeniality of the crew but also their admiration for Jeremy. Remarkably, every member of the team shared a dedication to quality work, but they were also respectful, approachable, and considerate of each other and us.

I began with our expectations; quite frankly, the Lighthouse team has consistently exceeded our expectations. Once again, they completed our project on time and on budget! After watching Jeremy install all our windows five years ago, watching Cody rebuild our deck and porch three years, and watching Jason and Bill completely rebuild our townhouse this spring, we recommend Lighthouse Contracting Group without reservation!

Lighthouse Contracting Group was amazing to work with from start to finish. When we first met with Jeremy, we were unsure of exactly what we wanted done to our house but explained what our hope was. We needed another bedroom but also wanted to gut and redo our kitchen and make the first floor flow. He listened to us and suggested a complete first floor remodel because it would meet all of our requests and goals. The design team he paired with helped bring our dream to life. Not only did we remodel our kitchen and make it open concept with our living room, but they redid our first floor bathroom and created a first floor master suite that is absolutely beautiful. The project was within our budget and all of the materials and finishes are exactly what we hoped for!

Cody, the lead carpenter, and the rest of the team, as well as the subcontractors, were nothing short of phenomenal. Whenever an issue arose, because let's face it - they always do in construction, they handled it swiftly and with transparency. They accepted nothing short of the best and gave us the absolute best in return. They were timely, professional, and detailed in their work. The craftsmanship was top-notch.

While construction is normally stressful, the Lighthouse team made it stress-free. They communicated with us daily via their app and weekly at our meetings. We are in awe of the transformation of our home! We look forward to contracting with them again for our next home project!

We used Lighthouse to transform our attic into livable space. We added approximately 600 square feet, including an additional bathroom and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final outcome. Everything came together perfectly. The project was completed on time and on budget. Jeremy and his various crews (framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, plaster, paint & carpet) were professional and tidy. My house was always left as clean as possible and we were updated with pictures along the way. The finished project looks great! It’s definitely not an attic anymore.

The team at Lighthouse did an amazing job completely replacing a porch, rails and set of stairs; removing an old dilapidated deck and replacing it with a huge expanded deck, rails and set of stairs that they connected to my existing farmer's porch to form a wraparound deck; and then replacing all the railings, and stairs on the farmer's porch -- and helping to better secure the farmer's porch and it's roof to our house (as it had started to separate).

The team was extremely courteous, industrious and accommodating -- and their level of craftsmanship and attention to detail was top notch. It was so refreshing to do business with a contracting company that was both professional from a business/customer service perspective (put things in writing, always answered the phone, returned calls, emails, texts) and professional in terms of the quality of the finished product they produced. This is very rare these days.

We had Jeremy and his team add a 23'x15' office in our basement. They did a terrific job! The scope included a large built-in hardwood bookcase, with multiple shelves, filing cabinets, and drawers; removing a support post and adding a steel I-Beam, installing a new hardwood floor of vinyl, HVAC, electrical outlets and nice lighting, a door, trim work, new walls and painting; along with an outdoor shower. They are a professional team who have done many projects together and are well coordinated between the trades, all doing high quality work. They work hard, keep on schedule, sweat the details for quality and customer satisfaction...and are really nice people to work with! They're trustworthy and helpful. I've never seen a cleaner contracting company...leaving the work environment clean and organized every day and at the end of the job. They all communicate well, so there's never a surprise. We love the job they did for us and would definitely hire them again.

Right from the first involvement with Jeremy, the experience was extremely professional from agreeing on the design concept and budget to the completed project.
