Exceptional service and craftsmanship!!!

I contacted Legend Exteriors after a small mishap with a compost bin fire which resulted in my aluminum siding being damaged. Josh worked tirelessly to communicate with my Insurance Company and came to my residence every time a claim specialist responded to assess the damage. Since Josh discovered my specific siding was discontinued, he communicated with the Insurance company over the span of a few months with documents, estimates, etc. which resulted in the approval for reimbursement for an entire house wrap. Not only was I able to get the entire house re-sided, Legend was able to upgrade my siding to James Hardy board for an amount similar to my reimbursement. The work crew was great. They were very efficient and left little to no debris every day. The house looks absolutely beautiful! Thanks Legend!

The repair team consisting of Mike and Mark were very helpful in correcting the problem that they were dealing with. They were very courteous and very knowledgeable and went above and beyond in order to help them. They would definitely recommend this company.

Working with Jim Johnson and Legends Exteriors was like, working with a company the way you imagine it should be. Communication through the whole event was excellent.
I filled out a form online for an estimate on Windows and siding in the morning. By midday, a person from Legend called me saying a local representative will call me by end of day. Mid-afternoon, Jim, from Legend Exteriors, called to set up an appointment for the next day.
Days later I signed the contract and put half the money down. Jim let me know it would be 6 to 8 weeks before the custom windows would come in and the down payment would not be cashed until then. Which gave me some reassurance. 6 weeks later received a call and had an appointment set for the next week to start on my house. The crew worked 4 days, starting work at 7:00 a.m.(not just showing up at 7:00 a.m.).
I'm very pleased with the finished result and the whole experience.

This company is the best! Very professional and timely service. They are extremely nice and acomidating. They fixed my roof in one day plus put several patches for my emergency leaks. They even offered to fix my neighbors roof since it was also wind damaged. They worked with my insurance company so I didn't have to as well. I highly recommend this place for any construction (indoors OR outdoors). I had water damage inside the house and they fixed that, too.
They responded to my emergency when no other company would. Life savers!!!

Steve Ward was a pleasure to work with. He not only coordinated several crafts to repair significant roof, window and deck damage from a hail storm, but also went to bat for me against the insurance company to make sure the claim was settled fairly. I had never been through an insurance claim before and without help from Steve, I am sure this would not have gone so well.

Steve and his crew were amazing!! Steve helped me pick out the color of roof tiles that match my siding. They did a wonderful job I love my new roof. They were here early in the morning (but not too early). Also, they cleaned up everything they even went through the yard and picked up all the nails.

WOW!!! The gang from Legend Exteriors were absolutely fantastic! They helped me redo my front entry wall, taking off old rotted wood and replacing it with a lovely stone application. From the get go, Amy communicated with me about all the details and was very easy to work with. Mike's craftmanship was precise, clean, and the finished product was beautiful. It turned out better than I could have imagined. Overall there was great communication, they involved me in all the decision making, and the final product was fantastic. Made the whole process easy, my new dark roof looks great and updated. They fixed my gutters and siding after a storm. Everything went smooth, good communication.

We had a couple of ice-damning issues ever since we put on our new roof back in 2012. Called a couple of roofers and wouldn't even bother with helping us out (lots of storm damage to roofs that month). I saw a Legend Exteriors & Construction truck in my neighbor's driveway on a Saturday no less. I ran over to speak to Jacob and ask if they would be willing to have a look at our roof and explained the problem. I asked if he could give me his card and I would call to make an appointment. He literally finished at my neighbor's house, came over to my house and spent at least an hour here inside my attic and on the roof. He was so helpful and informative. It turned out that the ridge venting the other roofers put in was a very inexpensive type. Jacob explained everything. My husband and I were so relieved that Jacob knew what he was talking about, took all of the time we needed to understand the work involved. We hired Legend to fix our roof and the gentleman they sent out was great too, his name was Geo (hope I spelled that correctly). Kind, courteous and best of all - they DO GOOD WORK! Jacob was sure to follow up with us, and we couldn't be happier with this company. I have many of their cards and will recommend them to anyone who asks. Prices are great and so are the people. Legend, my husband and I cannot thank you enough! You're the BEST!

Legends Exteriors replaced my roof, added soffit, replaced some soffit, gutters and put gutter guard on. I am extremely happy with the work they have done. Jim Hobson was efficient with coming to do estimates and got them back to me fast. He also looked around at other company suppliers for different costs of the materials and I appreciated that! I will never call anyone else but Jim for my exterior needs!

Roofing tech sent out was new to roof damage and sided with insurance company during inspection. He previously informed me to call insurance management for a 2nd inspection afterwards 2nd inspection he sided with inspector of insurance company. Then told me he had stated there wasn't much damage.
I was left confused.

I needed a small storage building resided. I contacted several places. Most responded while some did not. Dayne was able to work around my schedule and he was extremely patient as he knew I needed to get at least 3 quotes before I could get approval. Dayne was very responsive whenever I had questions. As for the work, Mike and Geo were great as well. The work took a little longer than originally expected, but that was because of the commitment of Mike and Geo to make sure it was done right. I’m extremely happy with how this project turned out. I highly recommend Legend Exteriors & Construction.

Mike and Geo did a great job installing 2 attic vans. Professional work and cleaned up after the project. They had to spend some extra time tracing electric power sources in the house, but they did that without complaining. Thanks guys for a job well done. Tom W

I had a roof leak and called Legend E & C. I was worried that the job might be too small. I talked to Amy who was super easy to work with. Geo came out climbed up on the roof and took a look in the attic and fixed it right up. All dry now and at a great price.

Greatest experience ever! I had been so stressed out about having to get a new roof and siding. But after having meet with Steve Ward all my anxiety was put to rest. I had hail damage to the roof and siding. He handled EVERYTHING, from the insurance company to meeting with the claims adjuster! My house was old and needed more repairs than just that, so he also installed a new garage door, as well as the back door to the garage. I needed new windows, he recommended a company and handled getting them out there for an estimated as well as the installation! I HIGHLY recommend Legends Exteriors and Construction. Very professional and efficient. My house looks beautiful!

From start to finish, working with Legend Exteriors was a fantastic experience. Krissy understood the scale of our project and set us up with Steve the General Contractor for Legend. Our project included painting brick, installing new siding, gutters, soffits, fascia, cedar bracket details and cedar posts. Steve was great at communicating with us throughout the entire process. Mike and his team did a fantastic explanation of what was going on with our issue with a certain bird species that found its way into our siding. Once that problem was taken care of his communication with what we needed to was consistent & fair. While the project was more than we were expecting, we received a fair estimation & price. Where do I start? Legend Exteriors is a company you can rely on to get things done hands down. I had hail damage to my roof and had the pleasure of working with both Joe and Steve Ward. Two amazing guys who care about your situation and are extremely straightforward and diligent in getting things done, and done in short time. I've worked with many contractors over the decades, and I feel that Legend Exteriors & Construction is the best I've ever dealt with. I'm often skeptical of Google reviews since it's possible that they could be manipulated, but in this case, Legend is well deserving of its reputation. I worked with the project manager Dayne, and he was outstanding -- responsive and on top of things at all times. The quality of their work is fantastic, their customer service is a cut above anyone else, and they are super honest. If anyone asked me for recommendations on roofing and exteriors, I would not hesitate to recommendation this company. I feel with their work ethic and way of doing business, they can take over a lot more business in the area once people realize how much better they are than anyone else.

Josh Burton, the president of the company, lives near me although I had never met him. I had watched as he did so much work on his amazing home and decided to reach out to his company for an assessment of my roof. When my request came through he must have noticed I lived nearby and so he came himself!! Very personable, knowledgeable, and no long-winded 2hr sales pitches!
He got up on my roof himself and fixed a number of areas with nail pops - at no charge! - but said my roof good for another 3 yrs! Who does that!
Fantastic guy - highly recommend contacting for a fair assessment and a personal touch - not just one of those "send me a pic in text" guys.

We had our roof, gutters and trim replaced in September by Legend. In February we noticed a problem with one of the skylights. We called Dayne Van Arsdale, and he took care of it immediately with no hassle. Glad we used Legend.

So I had hail damage and gave Legend a call. Couldn't have been more happy with making that decision! From design to completion they were great and so were there crews. We are beyond pleased with the finished product! I would definitely recommend them for any job.

Legend Exteriors installed my roof in 2015. I recently had wind damage to the ridge caps on my roof. Mike from Legend's service department contacted me and obtained information to contact the manufacturer warranty department. Mike and repair technician George came to my home, inspected the damage, submitted the warranty claim and completed the necessary repairs in under 3 hours.

Both Mike and George were great. I would recommend Legend for anyone considering a new roof, or repairs.

I would say I am highly satisfied from start to finish with this company. Not only did Erik have great communication skills, they fixed and replaced a spot of rotting wood behind the siding that they replaced that we didn’t even know was there. (It was not small) The finishing siding looks incredible and the team even helped install new light fixtures outside, a new mailbox, and new plating for our address. This company went above and beyond our expectations and I recommend them to anyone who wants a company that truly values their customers experiences. Tony and his team were awesome. I had storm damage and my insurance carrier recommended another company. That company came out and then took weeks to follow through. I called Tony and he was out within days, helped me get the Insurance company to adjust their estimate. He also fixed an exposed part of my roof during that first appointment free of charge knowing more damage could happen in between. Even if you already have someone your insurance company recommends. Talk to these guys before you commit to them. I can't speak highly enough of their professionalism.

Legend Exteriors & Construction recently completed some work for us, and we are extremely pleased with the results. For example, the roof and gutters/downspouts look amazing, as well as the skylights. From start to finish, Josh and his team including Mike and Gio were skilled and professional. They cleaned up at the end of each work day. The landscaping was protected during the work and a magnet was used on the lawn to collect any roofing nails. We highly recommend Legend.

Our area was hit with a hail storm leaving us with roof damage. Instead of using one of the companies that immediately showed up in our neighborhood, we did research and found Legend Exteriors & Construction. We are SO pleased that we chose this BBB A+ rated company!

Our project manager, Jim Hobson, was excellent and he was a pleasure to work with! He took on working with our insurance company to get the contract to have our roof replaced. He ordered the correct shingles for the high winds that we experience living on a hill and he made sure the job started during proper outdoor temperatures. I would highly recommend Legend exteriors to anyone looking to have work done on their home. I called to have a free roof inspection done after storms came through the area. There were some shingles missing and others that appeared to damaged. Josh came out within the time frame as scheduled to do the inspection. He gave me an honest professional opinion that I did not need to have a new roof. I appreciated the honesty unlike other companies just wanting to push everything through insurance. Josh advised he could have a crew member out the same day to put a temporary barrier on the missing shingles to prevent any leaks. A few hours later a crew member arrived and put up the temporary barrier. Fast forward a few weeks Josh called and said they found matching shingles to make the final repair. The repair was done and looks great. Even on an older roof the shingles blend in nicely. Call legend exteriors because you will not be disappointed!

I experienced exceptional service from Legend and working with Tony Chan. From inspection to working with my insurance adjuster and installation, Tony got me the roof replacement I deserved with extra repairs I didn't expect he'd do like fixing my fascia. Mike and Geo of the Service Division repaired my vinyl clad fireplace chimney which fixed a water leak to our master bathroom ceiling. They were on time, very professional, and kept me fully informed and comfortable with the repair process which also included a visual final inspection. I would definitely recommend them.

Recently had some issues which I thought was the siding but one phone call and Krissy, who was very pleasant and thoughtful, had service out immediately. Had hail damaged siding and contacted Legend Exteriors. Jim Hobson promptly set up a convenient appointment and inspected the hail damage. He actually found damage the insurance adjuster had missed . He also put together a quote and contacted our adjuster and submitted pictures of what he found. Upon insurance approval he set up a time to pick out a siding color and set a start date.Jim was Very professional and personable every step of the way. The crew that did the work was outstanding. I felt like they took their time to do it right. No detail was overlooked. Very happy with the results. I would definitely recommend Legend Exteriors and Jim Hobson without hesitation!

After Legend did our roof and siding years I called them to install my new shutters. Removing the old vinyl cookie-cutter style and put in some board & batten style. I worked with Mike from the Repair Division and I have to say, the communication, the punctuality, the professionalism, the help and direction, suggestions, and so much more FAR exceeded my expectations.
I like to think I'm pretty savvy about things like this, but Mike was very well versed in the whole process, promised timing and costs and didn't barter or change things - just laid it out plainly and honestly, and I fully respect and appreciate that.
I could reach out to him and he would respond much quicker than one would expect, sometimes within minutes - and then he would help with quotes, detailing the line items and added communications - just amazing professionalism and customer service.
Really looking forward to working with Mike, Mark, and Legend on future projects.

Don't let these hacks hack up your home!! Better go on roof and check work I found 16 major issues. Look at this trim going into gutter and drove a screw all the way into BRAND NEW shower remodel!!!!
Update glad over 500 views have been seen. Yes I was a real customer in Lake county Il not a fake report. Why would I use my real name ? To have retaliation? It's been over years ago.
They don't remember paying me for 3" screw threw my shower?
Also all the things they broke?
Just telling the public to be careful with this contractor.
They just farm labor out to sub contractors not their own workers.
Now this was in the past so maybe it's changed?
Looks like they got bigger now.
But just ask them is the work subbed out ?
Are the workers on your home W2 employees? This means they are on the payroll full time year after year and only work for them.
