Legacy Contracting - Louisville, KY

The windstorm this year absolutely wrecked our roof littering shingles around the yard. My neighbor told me about Legacy Contracting and the great work they did, so I took him at his word and reached out to Shamere. He showed up the next day and worked with me and my insurance to make sure I had everything that I wanted and within the price range of what insurance was covering. Super easy to work with. A week later his team was on my roof and finished in three days. They did an excellent job and my wife and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a roofer.

The project manager, Brad, was very professional, responsive, and instrumental in filing the insurance claim for wind and hail damage on my roof. He returned when the insurance adjuster came to inspect the roof to share pertinent information about his observations of damage. Brad was able to schedule and complete the instillation of a new roof within a week. The work on my 4700 square foot home was completed in a day! I referred Brad to my neighbor who had a roof claim denied by her insurance company. He was able to inspect and refile the claim and now she is approved for a new roof! I would highly recommend Legacy Contracting.

My home suffered wind damage and fascia flew off of my home. State Farm Insurance company recommended Legacy Contracting and they came out the next day. Brad Koenig climbed on my roof to see if there was more damage than what I had noticed. The damage was extensive. Long story short, I have a beautiful new roof and Brad helped me through the process from beginning to end. This was the best experience I have had working with contractors on my home. They got the job done quickly (3 days total!) and even took care of some siding repairs as well! Brad and the Legacy Contracting roofers deserve all the praise they get. Now my wife wants new siding!

Excellent company to work with. They replaced my roof in June 2021. The owner as well as Brad Koenig, Sr. Project Consultant were very responsive whenever I had a question. I am very satisfied with the replacement of my roof. They did a great job with clean up and left no nails behind. They are very professional and I would use them again. Trustworthy and explained the cost right up front. Educated me on the various types of roof shingles that made it easy for me to make a decision.

My experience with Legacy Contracting was amazing. This transformation consisted of a new roof, windows, gutters and siding. The undertaking was overwhelming for me at times, but the team was very professional and supportive and ultimately added a lot of value to my home renovation and lowered heating and cooling cost with energy efficient upgrades.

I worked with Brad Koenig from the beginning. He was very professional and responsive. He always answered all of our calls and questions. He worked with my insurance company as well and I didn’t have worry about anything. Installation went well. We are happy with the end result and the color of the roof we selected. We had a storm and some shingles came off my roof. Some people were in my neighborhood and inspected my roof. They tried to pressure me into a repair. I contacted my home insurance and they sent our Brad Keonig from Legacy Roofing. He took the time to explain what he found. Got my insurance claim done timely and made sure I was completely comfortable and happy. This company is great and so is my new roof!!!

Before moving to our home I’m 2017 we had a leak above the garage and my agent had given us Shamere’s number. My agent praised him being very nice and prompt; and he was initially. After ‘fixing’ the leak it came back after a big rainfall. I contacted Shamere again and told him he said he would come out and check it out. He did come out and check it out tried fixing it too he was unable to fix it because something else was causing the leak. He wanted to charge me for coming out and spending time and I told him okay and sent him my email address so he could send the invoice. He never sent the invoice. Then a few months pass before another big storm hits and it’s leaking again in the same exact spot it was leaking when we bought the house and showed him initially. I call him and he says he would be there in about an hour- never shows up. Then I text him again asking and he responds saying that’s it’s been 3 years since he’s ‘fixed’ the leak and needs to be paid a service fee &saying he is happy to help as long as I am fair. I responded “ Sir I sent you my email address after you asked for payment the last time but received no invoice. The work you put in initially was for the same leak in the same spot. I am happy to pay again if you are able to fix it. I’m sorry I keep bugging you but I was told initially that it would be guaranteed by Jacob. Again I’m okay to pay sir as long as you can fix it. Please. ” that was my response word for word. I didn’t get any response from him. So if he ends up guaranteeing the work it’s bs- the leak that he’ll “fix” will end up leaking again & then the owner, Shamere will not respond and be unprofessional.

Part of my gutter was hanging off the corner of my house. Before I called Legacy Roofing another company had given me an estimate. Not having a good feeling about the other company I got on Yelp and contacted Legacy Roofing & Construction. Within minutes the owner Shamere was in contact with me. He came out and looked at it the very next day and gave me a price that was more than 75% less than what the other company had quoted me! I even asked him if he was sure that was right, because I was shocked at the difference. Reading the reviews I followed my gut and approved him to do the work. Within just a couple of days the guys showed up to repair my gutter and they were done very quickly and my gutter looks brand new! I can't thank them enough for being quick, professional, reasonable, and such a pleasure doing business with! I highly recommend you calling them and seeing what they can do for you!! You won't be disappointed!!!

The guys were super responsive and willing to help resolve a skylight leak immediately while also devising a long-term solution for us. They took the time to tell us our options and ensure we understood the root cause. Very professional, trustworthy, and willing to help. They are highly recommended.

Shamere and his team did a great job replacing our roof and gutters. He helped us make the decision on which shingles to go with and we’re still happy 2 years after the roof replacement. Professional and easy to work with. If I need to get a new roof in the future I’ll be using Legacy again and would recommend the same to family and friends.

Writing review on 4-10-19 for roofing done on 4-9-19, so one little detail waiting... Could not give this company more love. Had wind damage that was insured through Liberty Mutual, and as a result of the process we were steered to this contractor though our insurance ( via another party called Madsky). As far as i am concerned they, Legacy Roofing, performed admirably. We have one little issue with a gutter being moved a little(ladders or shingles I presume), but otherwise we are completely satisfied. We have an 1100 square foot ranch, and they were able to complete a big job in 12 hours. This included switching out from four roof vents to a ridge vent system, patching in the spots from the old roof vents, replacing the septic vent)!! I really recommend them!!! (updates to follow if they dont fix the gutter though...lol)

Had a great experience! They really seem quite knowledgeable about roofing and home improvement. Our project was completed on time and in budget. I will hire them again for any projects in the future! Thanks guys!

I am an absentee Landlord, I live out of state and I own several rental units in Downtown Louisville. I hired Legacy to remodel 7 of my houses, adding two new roofs in total. To my delight their work was outstanding. They were in and out, very professional, and clean. I would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the great work guys!

Legacy Roofing replaced my roof before I sold my last home and they performed a fantastic job. I’d recommend them to all my friends and family.

We hired this company to replace our roof and gutters a month ago. We have had a terrible experience. They still haven’t completed the work. They left nails and trash all over the yard and our tv antenna wires hanging off the house. The roof was applied wrong and is still not completed. The owner does not inform us what is going on and does not call my husband back or answer calls. This company is a scam!
