We are very pleased with the quality of our new deck and screened in porch. We absolutely love it! The crew was very professional and paid close attention to details. They worked late and finished on time which was very impressive. It was a pleasant working with Scott. We would highly recommend Leesburg Decks and Porches to build any outdoor project, deck or porch. You won’t be disappointed!

Scott and his crew did an amazing job helping us turn our vision into a reality. He worked with us on taking our 15 year old deck and turning it into a covered screened in deck that now expands our livable space. We can't wait to continue to use it for family time and to have a place to sit and watch the amazing Loudoun County sunsets! We highly recommend him and will use him again for any deck or expansion needs. Him and his crew are top notch and their craftsmanship is spot on. He also worked with the county and handled all permitting so we didn't have to.

We had Leesburg Decks redo our old deck and add in a screened in porch. We had an amazing experience with this company! We met with three companies to get a quote for this project and Leesburg Decks offered the best price and the quality of their work is great. The contractors that completed the project were fantastic. Everything was done in a very timely manner. We highly recommend them!

We had an old rotting wood deck off of our screened porch. We replaced with composite and are extremely pleased! Cost was reasonable and competitive. The quality of work is fantastic. And we also had a section of our wood fence replaced. Work was done on time, as well. Highly recommend!

Leesburg Decks built our deck in 2018. It consists of a 19 x 17 open area with a separate 16 x 14 screened-in and roof covered area. Stairs to the ground come off the open area and are grounded in a 4 x 4 stone landing. The stairs include dual continuous handrails providing better grips. The structural components are covered on all sides in white ten-inch PVC wrap, providing a heavier more substantial and better finished look to it. The roof over the covered area matches the house roof in color and style, and the roof angles are compatible with the roof angles on the house. This work included electrical work to bring power to the deck, mounting an outdoor ceiling fan and providing convenience outlets as well as floor outlets where needed in buffet and BBQ areas. A layer of plant growth inhibiting thick plastic sheet and a bed of medium-sized river rock were laid under the deck. All required permits were obtained and inspections were properly conducted. It was been through two winters now with no issues. We later put natural gas to the deck as well as added a natural gas warming fireplace, and a natural gas grill. We also put a water line to the deck for convenience. We are very satisfied with the work and anticipate many years of relative maintenance-free use. Very good addition to our house and very good value for the money we spent. The business owner was on-site quite a bit and readily accessible. A picture close to the finish of construction is attached.

They put in exterior stairs for me which were very well done. It is a small company and the owner is on site often. They did a great job.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
