KW Construction & Restoration- Leadville

KW responded quickly to mitigate water damage and prep for restoration. Jennifer and the whole mitigation were very professional, thorough and timely. I continued our engagement with the KW team by contracting for reconstruction services. Mike led the reconstruction team and once again I was very pleased with their professional approach, thoroughness and “can do” attitude. In all regards I especially appreciated the pro-active project management approach. I would definitely hire KW for future requirements.

Bobby and the team have been an incredible help to our operation. They are communicative, punctual, and responsive. The quality of work they perform is second to none, and I cannot recommend KW enough!

We've called these guys out twice to help identify water damage. Bubba and Mitch came out to look at the source of some wide spread water damage. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to figure out next steps to get the problem sorted. It actually seems like their priority is helping you instead of making a sale. What a refreshing change of pace.
Also, living in a place like Leadville (where options are thin and gears turn slowly), having a company that will pick up the phone and get right to work in an emergency is invaluable. The first time we called with pools forming, they were here cleaning up before anybody else returned our calls. Every homeowner here should have this number on speed dial.

Edina Williams tried to scam me & my family by charging “20% overhead fee” on any work that was done. I have NEVER heard of someone just deciding to charge commission on other peoples work like that. Every time we needed help she gave me an answer with an extra amount of money on top for her to pocket. All these “emergency fees” and “overhead fee’s” were ridiculous. I asked to speak to a plumber directly and somehow she was the only one who could get ahold of him and I was suddenly looking at a $2,500 plumbing job “at an emergency rate with an overhead fee”. My plumber coming to help me now isn’t charging nearly that much……..this company is sketchy do not trust them.

Mike Sebestyen was the construction manager on the finish of our addition.
He did an amazing job start to finish.
I would definitely use KW Construction for any future improvements to my property.

Our mountain home suffered extensive mold damage in the crawlspace and chimney chase due to inferior home building. KW Construction was the only company I considered calling and I’m so happy I did! KW Construction has now provided us with two high quality renovations, one in 2006 and the other in 2020. In both cases, the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and execution were exceptional. It is rare to go through such a process and come out on the other side with 100% satisfaction. Kyle and his team were able to bring to life everything we were hoping for. Any issues that emerged were promptly and seamlessly resolved. I can't imagine trusting anyone other than KW to take on our next project!

We have done business with Kyle and Danny at KW Construction and Restoration for 20+ years. Everything from our personal home to the expansive remodel of the Leadville Depot Condos on Chestnut Street. They are top notch! They do quality work with excellent craftsmanship. Highly recommend.

KW initially rescued us when we had a flood in the 2nd floor bathroom that ruined a lot of our home. They were there the next morning and took care of everything from there on out. Reconstruction took about 45 days but everything was done well. They communicated frequently about progress and kept us well informed. We were very satisfied.

Since then we have used their services for a couple of other small projects. Each time they have been excellent to work with. Responsive, friendly, communicative, and professional.

I heartily recommend them to anyone in need of construction or restoration. They will get the job done for a fair price. And you can be sure they will stand behind the work.

If we could give 0 stars, we would. We have worked with many contracting and construction companies, and they are well below anything we've seen before.

After a nearly 18 month repair, we are exhausted and can't express enough how KW:
-did the bare minimum to repair our unit
-caused additional water and sewage damage to our dwelling while working in the unit
-failed, and continued to fail to disclose their responsibility in this matter despite corroborating data and evidence from multiple sources familiar with the issue
-missed in excess of 5 promised project delivery dates
-damaged our furniture in their contracted storage
-never offered to address these losses
-failed to respond to most calls and written communications
-when finally confronted, KW quoted the value of our losses well below the cost to replace- but did offer to mail us a check
-after 3 months, have failed to ever send any payments they promised us both by phone, in writing, and at an in-person visit to their offices in Leadville.

If there is ANY alternative to KW, please save yourself the hassle of working with these thieves.

I'm very happy with the outcome of the demolition and restoration they performed at our Fairplay house. The craftsmanship of the work was excellent. They did a great job cleaning up the dust/debris after their work. Updates on work progress was lacking at first and work took longer than expected but the final outcome was good. Would have deserved a rating of 5 if communications from them and the speed of the repairs was better/faster. Ryan came through at the end and made it all happen well. Update on 9/19/2018: After I thought I had paid all that was due, just got an "after the fact" bill for initial repair work that was performed. It would have been nice to have been billed everything all at the same time. I'm disappointed with the interface with the front office; didn't feel they were on top of it all throughout the demolition and restoration process as well as they had promised me it would. They said they would be working directly with the insurance company throughout this process and the feedback I got from the insurance company was that there was no interface with them.
