Before & After, Coffee & Cocktails

Got some a delicious oatmeal latte from here. Staff were kind and helpful, beautiful space that is very inviting. Wish I had more time to spend there but I look forward to going again.

Best coffee place in Leadville by far… The sticky note room is such an awesome little story of the community… they have a board where you can buy a friend a drink and generally the vibe is awesome! Get in there!

Nice coffee shop with comfy seating, even a few fun swings.

I got a Carmel latte which was a bit sweet. They said they didn't currently have any homemade/ house made syrups atm. The service was quite quick.

I got a bacon breakfast burrito. It was pretty good.

Bathrooms were simple and clean.

Before & After is an awesome spot for coffee by day and cocktails by night. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and the service is always great. I recently had their matcha (so good!) and my friends and I tried nearly every cocktail on the menu—each one was yummy. Bonus: they serve Thai food on Mondays and Tuesdays, which makes it an even better hangout spot. Perfect place to catch up and enjoy a drink in a chill setting.

Nice place with good food and drinks. Most options are a bit pricey for what it is but decent quality. Not too many complaints other than two of the employees. Not sure the names, overheard one that starts with an “M” and another young lady who were being extremely rude to customers and audibly making fun of some of the customers. I wasnt even one of the people but I could hear them (sitting further away than said customer) and thats not something that should be ok or practiced in a restaurant/lounge. Watching/hearing them make fun of customers absolutely ruined my experience.

This cozy and charming coffee shop is located in a beautiful little town surrounded by snowy forested mountains — a truly picturesque setting. The atmosphere is super warm and friendly.

The staff is incredibly cheerful, kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The place is clean, well-organized, and feels very inviting.

It also doubles as a bar with a really cool, laid-back vibe — ideal for hanging out with friends, having great conversations, or just coming solo and sitting at the bar.

They offer some tasty local pastries and snacks. Overall, it’s a super nice spot with amazing energy — highly recommended!

Waited for 30 minutes for biscuits and gravy. Asked how much longer was expected, and was told “Well there is a long wait for food”. Yes, I know. I ordered it 30 minutes ago. Turns out it was ready, presumably sitting for a while. Was met with cold lumpy instant gravy with dry biscuits. Yuck.

Super cute coffee shop in Leadville. We came on a Wednesday a little after 11:30am and there was plenty of space to sit and hangout or work. Staff were extremely friendly!!! Baklava iced latte and bacon breakfast burrito were delicious.

This is a very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The staff here is very friendly and the food and coffee is great!

Absolutely stunning! We came in last night for drinks. I had a delicious n/a spritz and my cuzzy had the prettiest martini I have ever seen with not 1, not 2, but 3 blue cheese stuffed olives. We came back today for a snack. Seriously, if someone asked me "if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life..." it would be this artichoke, brie, and arugula flat bread! I'm literally eating and writing this simultaneously bc it is so freaking good I want to sing it from the roof tops! Plus, service both times were stellar. Cannot wait to come back to Leadville and eat and drink here again! Cheers!

There are quite a few coffee shops in the area, and this just so happened to be the one we chose. I'm really glad we did too because the coffee's we very good, staff was friendly and it was a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth it to check out.

We stopped in here after a lovely day at Ski Cooper on Monday the 23rd. Our group of five was very warmly greeted, and we placed our coffee and snack orders. We tried the latté with whole milk, chai tea with oat milk, and vanilla steamed milk. We also had lemon cake and banana bread. Everything was delicious, and not just because we were at altitude and hungry after a full day of skiing. While we waited we played a game that was available, and noted that the pre New Year party was beginning at 6. Before & After made me wish I lived in Leadville. Well done!!!

Absolutely LOVED the beauty of this coffee shop! The swings were a nice touch. The hot chocolate and oatmeal cookie latte were just the right amount of flavor and sugar. This is a MUST when visiting Leadville

Such a fun atmosphere and vibe. Loved stopping here on our drive through back to Minturn. I loved our chai lattes, breakfast burrito with salsa and avocado and the customer service was fantastic.

Love this coffee and cocktail place to hangout in a storm. Very cozy and relaxing. Reading the colorful stickynotes on the wall is like reading a lot of outdoorers life stories.
The flat bread was delicious despite it's abit salty.

Great cocktails! great food, bartenders and staff! I think if people are going to complain about the pricing of pastries (food or anything) don’t forget you’re in a mountain town. To note, their prices are so fair it’s almost insane. Most of the food is fresh and/or done with love and you can taste it. love this place!

Very cute place! Staff was all really nice. Great cold brew and açaí bowl was good too. Would definitely go back again but would also definitely skip the banana bread. Near criminal to charge $4 for that tiny piece that was about as dry as dirt.

I had a rough day and Kristy and Gabby made me feel so welcome, comfortable, and at ease. The atmosphere here is warm and laid back and the drinks are PHENOMENAL.

We stopped by on our way home post camping. It was busy as there was a race in town that day, but the staff was super friendly and up front that there would be a bit of a wait. Even with how busy it was, we only waited 20 min for our food and our coffee was out asap. I was SUPER IMPRESSED with the gluten free breakfast burrito. Thank you to the other people who reviewed this menu item as this was the entire reason we went here.

Great stop in Leadville, AM or PM. I experienced the PM version and really enjoyed their house Old Fashioned. Food is tasty, good mountain vibe, excellent service! If you find yourself up in Leadville be sure to stop in and give Before & After a try.

Staff were excellent, cocktails were amazing, vibe was perfect. A great spot to stop in and chat or play games with friends. They provide a card game and most of the tables. I had “the spicy one” and it was tasty. Drinks were $10-12 so a very good price.

It seems like we find ourselves in leadville once a year for some drinks/food. This place is the highlight everytime. Espresso martinis are our go to and they are fantastic. 90 minute detour to grab a pair? Why not. Tried some curry they had and it was delicious as well. Bartenders have all been great.

The chai was excellent. We also shared a cinnamon roll that was great. Cool atmosphere also with random games spread around to play.

We visited late on a weekday morning. It was busy but there were several places to sit including comfy chairs and porch swings. The coffees and cinnamon roll we ordered were all great and service was friendly. This place is a comfortable hangout and a great place for a coffee. Their build-your-own sandwich menu looked great but we didn’t try it yet.

Came in the morning. White chocolate chai was spectacular. Biscuits and gravy were alright, nothing super special. Warm environment, great staff.

Lovely and cozy yet hip local hang. The barkeeps are fab and our drinks were lovely. Food here is decent. Good atmosphere. A nice alternative to the more dank haunts nearby, not that there is anything wrong with being dank.

We stopped by this place on our way back from Aspen. Like other reviewers mentioned, the ambience of this place is the unique aspect. The coffee options are great; be sure to try their Baklava Latte. Would definitely recommend

Before and After Coffee Shop is a gem. Their service was excellent, and the food was prepared exactly as I requested. The ambiance is super cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Highly recommended!

A lovely spot to pretend I’m working, snack on various baked goods, and inevitably finish the day with a spicy margarita. The service humans exude confidence, I have a crush on all of them!! Thank you for letting me sit at my laptop and be annoying for a few hours :)

Very nice ambiance. I went to another shop before this one and had a pretty bad experience and I was sad I didn’t come here first! Lovely environment and really good coffee. Not too sweet and some interesting stuff on the menu.

Recommended. Espresso tastes like espresso! Wish we had more time to hang out and try a few beers and chat. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fully realize this is a small mountain town, but probably the worst service I’ve ever had at a bar. It’s like they were trying to get us to spend our money elsewhere. Completely ignored for 20 minutes while the woman behind the bar ate, refilled the drinks of the patrons who had already been served, offered them custom shots and barely gave us the time of day. Head across the street to Treeline instead.

This place is awesome! Came here with the kids, they had games to play fun cards to challenge your thinking and just an overall awesome atmosphere! Ian took care of us and he was fantastic!

Loved my time at this lovely spot! I enjoyed a cappuccino and a fancy rice krispy treat, with a beautiful view of snow out the window. 10/10 would recommend!

Went for coffee and a (vegan) breakfast burrito and was impressed on both accounts. Service was wonderful, food was delicious, and it's a very cute space inside. Highly recommend.
