Clean store . Friendly staff and helpful. For both truckers and contractors and customers there is a restroom in the yard by the sheds.

Start with a hello and you might find... The customer service is really good, yard crew and lumber desk is helpful. The lumber yard can handle your construction needs. Some things are going to be special order.
They carry a broad inventory for home maintenance and repair, typical of a Do it Best hardware.

I will start by saying full disclosure 3 years or so ago I did work here, so my review now is based on my last year of experiences shopping here with only one or two who know me.
The sales people just don't try anymore. Whenever I have called to place an order for pickup I have been told they can't do that over the phone. Once I explain I have an active account they typically will oblige to a degree. Multiple times I have had to call for friends looking to get things because the sales people did not know what they were asking for. When I am in the store and looking for a product that we use to carry, not sure they do now, the sales people will put all of 2 seconds into looking and then refer me elsewhere.
Back when I worked there, Marty, Kari, Trista, Blake, Jack and Nikki would stop at nothing to answer the question and get the sale. I guess what I am saying that while most product inventory is up the customer service is no better than anywhere else in town and in many ways worse. I feel more at home shopping at ranch and home now then a store I use to work at...

Update:
After reflecting on my previous review I have bumped the rating to 3 stars. I did this after considering 5 visits after my original. I factored inventory and stocking levels of product as well as the encounters with staff.

My family has been using Knudson's since my grandfather built his house in the late 60's. They've always had what we need or were able to get it, be it good lumber, tools, or fasteners.

Bought over $2000 worth of bricks for a home project when I went back to return two of them that were casted larger then the rest they wanted me to get into my vehicle after waiting in line drop them off in the back, get a piece of paper, drive back in, wait in line a second time and process a return that needed a manager to do it for $6. Way to make something simple very complicated and a waste of my time.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
