I made a random phone call this morning due so some water damage that was occuring in my basement and thought it may be because of a patio door leak so wanted to get an estimate. I immediately received a call from Brandon Acker, I explained the situation he was here in literally 45 minutes to assess the issue. He looked everything over from my patio door, deck, siding and basement. After he did his investigation he came to the conclusion it's most likely from a gutter that had not been cleaned up until a few days prior and nothing structural and "didn't want to sell me something I didn't need" which was exactly what I was terrified of. So even though no work was done I figured the least I could do was a Google review for the quick response , clear communication, trustworthiness and piece of mind he provided...Thank you Brandon!

Last year a hail storm came through and created damages to our roof. In May 2025 we started working with Keystone Builders (specifically with Tyler, Juan, and Carlo's Team) on how to file a claim, and set up a date to get our roof replaced. From the time of the inspection to getting the roof done, we received great communication, professionalism, and work from Keystone Builders. The team arrived as expected and got straight to work with no delay. We definitely recommend Keystone Builders to anyone looking to get their roof replaced!

We had a leak around our furnace vent after having our roof replaced. Mike Strom came out the same day we called and did an excellent job of repairing the problem. He was very nice and professional and also very thorough. He sent us pictures of the before and after. He did a first class job!

We are BEYOND IMPRESSED with the Keystone Builders team and especially Jay. They were doing a siding replacement job in our neighborhood so we gave them a call to see if they could help us with a 30ft high fascia cover issue that multiple other companies had simply never even called us back about. Randy answered immediately. Then Jay made a same day visit to our home. He quickly and nicely offered to help us. That alone was shockingly awesome. Jay then used the siding pieces we had to do a color match and came back 48 hours later to trim the broken piece still attached to our house and install the replacement piece. I am literally sleeping better tonight knowing that part of our house is no longer exposed to all the elements because of Jay. We will gladly use Keystone Builders for our future siding needs and we highly recommend them for their quality service and work. (The house they re-sided in our neighborhood looks awesome to btw.)

My house suffered hail damage in Aug 2023. From the moment I contacted Brandon at Keystone I knew I made the right choice. He was clear on the process with the insurance company and was quick to respond to my questions. However, my insurance company dragged its feet and unnecessarily drew out the process. Brandon kept at it with them and ultimately I was able to get the work done. No doubt his persistence helped immensely. The various crews working on my house (abatement, roof, siding, gutters) were so efficient and profesional. Both Brandon and Jay kept me updated with the progress through texts snd calls, which was much appreciated. My house looks fantastic but, most importantly, I know all the work was done with precision. I would 100% recommend Keystone.

Preston and his crew are some of the most kind and genuine guys you’ll meet. I haven’t needed any exterior work done on my home yet, but, I am more than confident I can count on them as soon as I do. Wow, what a ride and what an experience I had with Tyler Galston! From the start, Tyler was straightforward and honest. He wasn’t trying to sell me anything. Liars and scammers. Stay away. Check the 1-star reviews once you sign they disappear. Any promise they made they will hide behind insurance. They enter the contract in bad faith and hope you don't check the bill. They damaged our property in 3 places and tried to hide it. They made up a small number they claim the property can be fixed for (refuse to meet estimates for actual costs). Came on days we said not to, let themselves through our gate without permission, blocked our car in because they began before the legal start time for construction and moved the dumpster to block the car, performed work we didn't agree to then knowingly did not complete the job and billed us for the full job including those few "bonus" extras. Find any other company. We were warned by another roofing company and didn't listen...You won't see many of these signs around the Twin Cities for a reason.

Keystone came out to inspect our roof for hail damage and they were honest about us not needing new shingles, siding, gutters, or windows. I appreciated that; they didn’t tell us we needed a bunch of work done just to get the business. Even though we couldn’t give them our business, Project Manager Mike made a special trip out to caulk nail pops for us, which will definitely help the integrity of our roof for years to come. Let me start off by saying that Jason and Juan were both friendly, thorough, and professional. I love my new TEAK colored roof. The crew was respectful to me and my property. They laid down tarps to contain debris. They had multiple giant magnets on wheels to pick up any stray nails. They did such a good job you wouldn't have even known they were here. They even took away all the garbage. If I am ever in need of a new roof again they will be my first call. Thank you ALL for all you did it is appreciated.

I needed a very small repair/replacement of my siding. I worked initially with Mitch to figure out how to match colors on siding that was 15 years old. He searched and searched for a match. It took a few phone calls to make sure I was still on their list of projects. After about three weeks of no communication I reached out and promptly got a response from Mitch. He assured me things were on track. Since my job would only take a couple of hours, I would be squeezed in between the really big jobs. I was cool with that. I think it took about 7 weeks, but Jay and Mitch both came to repair my siding and they did an excellent job. These are really nice people, and they are local, not a big nationwide conglomerate. I like staying local. I read other reviews complaining about spotty communication and I guess if I wanted to, I could complain a little, but it’s really busy out there and as long as I’m assured I’m still on their list, I have no problem with granting the guys a little slack. Again, the finished product is excellent. I would call them again.

We had Keystone Builders replace our hail damaged 11 year old roof in October 2024. We are very happy with the job they did and would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

We were referred to Tyler Galston by our insurance company because of the positive feedback from their policy holders. We enjoyed working with Tyler. He is knowledgeable, detailed orientated, easy to work with and trustworthy. He inspected our roof, found hail damage and recommended filing a claim. He assisted the insurance appraiser with his inspection that determined a new roof was needed. Tyler’s quote included the same Owings singles as our original ones at a price that equaled our depreciated insurance reimbursement and deductible.

The tear-off and replacement was scheduled. The materials and debris trailer arrived the day before. Tyler arrived early with the work crew. He introduced Juan, the crew's supervisor, and they explained what would be happening that day. They surrounded our home with tarps to catch the debris and began the tear-off. With Juan’s direction, the crew of 8 removed the old shingles and tar paper. Tyler found our gutters were missing a drip edge and Juan was able to install a gutter apron all around. Juan’s crew added ice shield, upgraded tar paper, shingles, ridge caps and valley metal. The roof was completed in the afternoon. Clean-up was very thorough and large magnets on wheels picked up all loose nails. The gutters were cleaned. All debris was placed in the trailer. Juan emailed photos and completion forms to city hall and a sign-off form on our door. Juan was great to work with, very knowledgeable and kept us informed. We were glad to have Juan to lead his crew and are very happy with their result.

Tyler came by to inspect the job the next day. He’s kept in touch as the city came to inspect our roof.

In June we meet with JoeTassi to go over replacing our roof and installing a gutter system, he was very patient and answered all our questions and came up with some solutions that we never would have thought of. The crew chief Juan was easy to communicate with and kept us informed as to the time frame of completion, his crew showed up before there start time and were working hard from the start through the day which was well above 90 degrees Their clean up was exceptional going over our property numerous times to make sure it was all clean.
It's been four months since keystone completed the job and we are very happy with the outcome and would use there services again.

Keystone did an amazing job installing my new roof and gutter protection system. Denny Benson, the project consultant, went above and beyond to ensure that everything, from beginning to end, would go smoothly. Juan Soto and his crew did a fantastic job with the actual installation of my new roof. They were very efficient and took great care not to damage anything in my yard (I have a ton of gardens/flowers around the perimeter of my house). The roof looks great and I am beyond thrilled that I will no longer have to clean gutters!

My contact was with Jake Colestock and he did an awesome job advocating for me with the insurance company. It took a while to get everything settled and he never gave up. In my life, I have never, ever, ever used a service or purchased a product that was advertised on a billboard, sent to me via USPS junk mail, flyers stuck in my front door, spam email, or from any telemarketer cold call. Keystone Builders broke that mold!

The doorbell rang in early May and I was greeted by a professional, pleasant, and respectful young man named Mitch Lauer. He went up on the roof, took pictures of the hail damage, and then talked me through the process of submitting a homeowner's insurance claim. He patiently endured and answered all my questions.

The homeowner's insurance claim department pushed back against the claim multiple times and Mitch went above and beyond the call of duty by jumping through all the additional hoops the insurance company demanded.

If recall correctly, Mitch made at least six separate trips to my home to do whatever was needed in order to help get my claim approved. I live outside of the cities, and each time Mitch drove the 90-minute round-trip. That is ultimate dedication and follow-through! Mitch is prompt, thorough, friendly, and such a blessing to work with.

Finally, after four months of back-and-forth with the insurance company, my claim for roof replacement was granted. The person who called to schedule the day for work (sorry, I don't recall his name but please give him credit) was informative and did a great job of instructing me on what needed to be done beforehand to prepare, and what timelines to expect.

Like clockwork, the crew came exactly on time on Sept 6th, and was an efficient, well-oiled machine. Juan Soto was the Project Manager and kept me up to date with progress reports and answered a couple of my concerns (more like lack of understanding) when the project was in process. He was always professional and explained things, so I understood.

Tio was the Foreman, and his crew worked diligently, for several hours straight. I did not hear much chit-chat between them, but everyone concentrated on their task at hand. It was only when a light shower hovered overhead that they took a break and ate lunch.

The crew did a wonderful job cleaning up, and was diligent at making sure no nails were left behind and any remnants of the old roof were properly loaded into the dump trailer. One of the crew assisted me in moving the patio table and chairs, a heavy park bench, and a very heavy fifteen-gallon Red Wing crock back onto the patio.

The job was completed the same day it started. The roof looks fantastic, and I would hire Keystone Builders again in a heartbeat for any future needs.

I was under contract on a new home when I learned the house had a serious water damage problem the sellers were underestimating. I needed a reputable siding and roofing company to step in to save the deal.

Enter Keystone builders. I went on their website on a Saturday and got a call back that same day. We had an inspection contingency and the clock was ticking. By Monday the company owner was on site looking at the house to give me guidance and to allay my concerns about whether to proceed with the purchase at all. I walked out of that meeting with a pair of estimates from Keystone I used to negotiate a seller credit in the home purchase.

Two days after closing, I watched one Keystone employee Jay work as he made the critical cuts into my siding. He wielded various power tools like a surgeon. He answered all my questions and was clear about what parts of the job were in his wheelhouse and which parts required another team member. Jay communicated clearly with me about his day to day schedule, project timeline, and what he saw as he proceeded with the repair.

In the end, it was a much smaller repair than I feared, handled expertly, and done on time and on budget. There were a few wrinkles as there are likely to be with any construction project. These were also handled professionally and to my satisfaction.

As I look back on the work, I can say Keystone earned my trust. They stepped in during a huge financial purchase of a new home and saved the deal. I would not hesitate to hire them again. Thanks Keystone.

We had our roof, siding, and gutters done through Keystone, and they did an amazing job! Jim was great, he kept me informed through the whole process, it was a bit of a struggle dealing with the insurance company to get them to cover everything, but Jim got it done and our house looks phenomenal!

We had a great experience with Keystone Builders for our roof and gutters. Project Consultant Jim Conderman was with us from start to finish. He answered all our questions with not only knowledge, but a lot of patience.

His handling of everything brought so much peace of mind and we knew we were in good hands. Project Manager Juan Soto arrived and assessed the project to be done. He and Jim worked well together to address every detail. The crew from Keystone Builders arrived and covered the perimeter with tarp.

They carefully put our solar lights off to the side and later put back. We saw the dedication in the crew as they got to business immediately upon arrival. We were updated on the project so we understood timeframes and necessary details. We were informed exactly when the job was done which I couldn’t believe they finished in such a timely manner.

We anticipated finding nails all over but instead a walk around the entire perimeter and driveway and not one nail was on the ground. Not a single nail. Juan even brought our empty garbage back to its spot from the curb as it was garbage day.

Called Preston to come assess my roof. Have had a very hard time getting someone to come look at my small home. He was out within a couple days and completed my roof in less than 2 weeks (assess, insurance and job completion). Can't say enough about how much I appreciate him! The absolute last thing I wanted to deal with was getting a new roof after a hailstorm. Lucky for me, Tyler and the team at Keystone Builders made the process entirely painless. Tyler guided me step by step through everything from dealing with insurance to picking out shingles. On the day I got the roof, Mike and the crew were quick and meticulous—by the time I got home from work you couldn’t tell they had been there except my house looked beautiful. I will 100% use Keystone for future projects.
