We are very pleased with the professional quality of Kenny's work! He is a true craftsman that was able to find our leak issue and then meticulously set about fixing it. He also had to build a new bulkhead from scratch afterwards to cover the pipes and this was also done to a detailed, professional standard. In addition, he is very personable and listened to what we had described as being the issues we needed to have fixed. His prices are affordable and his work is outstanding!

Kenny K from Latrobe did work at my 1906 four unit multi-plex home in Derry. For my most recent project, I emailed and called many leads and posted an open invite on Facebook. These efforts yielded mostly unreturned calls, three no-shows (they didn’t even call me to reschedule?!), and only two visits to my home. Ken was one of the two gents that actually responded and kept the appointment. He punctually arrived to work on the days and times we scheduled a month prior.

He managed to get my glued shut and disabled old wavy glass window units working again. He accomplished this by toiling to remove old paint & caulking that was binding the sashes to the stops, entirely disassembling each window, gaining access to the sash weights and installing new cords, then reassembling each massive unit. They are 5’ x 6’ and weigh 36 pounds. He meticulously tested all components, lubricating, tweaking, and solving any hiccups that he encountered as he progressed. They now operate easily and flawlessly.

Kenny also made my large (110 pounds each) oak pockets doors operable once again. I had new tracks fabricated which he installed on the floor, adjusting things as necessary to get the doors to operate easily & quietly and to close with no gaps. We can now gain quiet and privacy as we desire. It is wonderful to finally have fresh air and the ability to close off rooms! I should have hired him to do this work when I moved in seven years ago.

I have been through many renovations and projects in three homes over 26 years, doing much of the work myself alongside friends as their time has allowed. I am a modestly capable weekend warrior, but smart enough to hire out when my courage and experience fall short. Over the past several years, I have been forced to locate and hire contractors which I did not know. This has never gone well. In 2023, a recommendation from a friend resulted in a protracted, expensive and maddening experience with one contractor that I will never again use. I am often so discouraged with the process that I live without or do the work myself.

Kenny’s experience and professionalism make him a fantastic go-to-guy. Most handy fellas offer limited services and will do only certain tasks - not the case with Kenny. His varied background in all facets of construction allow him to tackle any tasks you might have and lead him to solving all problems he encounters. He is impressively patient. Such skills and traits make him an exceptional hire. Furthermore, he is professional, punctual, trustworthy, and earnestly very likable.
