Kennebunk Ace Hardware

A good local hardware store with {mostly} friendly staff. They have a good selection of goods and the community is fortunate to have this resource.

We needed a wheelbarrow wheel and when we walked in the young man at the cash was so friendly and said hello to every customer and asked how they were doing. As we approached the cash to purchase our stuff, I said you are very friendly which is what every store needs these days. He just smiled and said well I have to work so might as well be nice. I said you are a very nice young man as I left. I enjoy coming to Ace Hardware,they always seem to have what I want.

“Another brilliant mind” is how the owner referred to me when I explained to her that I sometimes had to return to her store a couple times in order to finish a home improvement job. Admittedly, I’m far from a pro, which is why I like to shop and support local at a friendly, helpful hardware store. I try not to go back to this store, though, bc of the comment above. Bought my Stihl up Rte 1 at a very friendly helpful Stihl dealer and get Ben paint at another local hardware down Rte 1 that is welcoming. Maine Hardware in Portland is also amazing and never hesitates to be helpful in a friendly way. Feel badly not going to this local store though.

Great staff! Well stocked with all the bits & bobs and things you need from outlet multipliers to paint supplies to seasonal garden/ bird/ snow removal .

Having recently moved from an apartment to a house, I've been to Ace quite often. They have a super friendly and helpful staff. The store is well stocked with a variety of household needs.

Went there to pick up a microwave I found online. Got headed to it by staff. Right where they said it would be. Works fine at my home. The store feels crowded not spread out like in Florida. Clean lots of selection

Great hardware store. Staff are helpful and polite. It's the 1 place you can always find what you need unlike some of the big box stores.

Have what i need in town, great staff, at pretty reasonable prices. Stop in and get ready for project season!

Staff was super nice even offered me an alternative place to shop for something they didn't carry. Plenty to choose from here. Good place to look for that hard to find stuff

Yes, ahh where to begin! i called face hardware and they told me that their were ACs available and i was with my brother in law and when he got to the store they already sold them and made us come into store and proceeded to tel my brother in law and i quote “i lied too you, i’m sorry” but before apologizing he also said “gotta make a sale some how am I right?”

On there web site it says 6:00 they close I drove from Ogunquit racing around all day as I’m wicked busy but was so relieved when I saw 6 PM as today would be the only day I would be available to come to the store and get what I needed for Thursday not only did they close way before six they closed at 4:50 what is that ??? How hard is it to A fix your website B close at 5:00 not 4:50. So very upset as I should of went to York What a huge inconvenience to just drive to Kennebunk for Absolutely nothing

I feel safe shopping there. The staff are always wearing face masks and using social distancing. The check out register has safety shield. Great job!!

I have been shopping at Ace for 10 plus years and only recently have I encountered discord and I wanted to say something about how or why I am being disrespected by certain members of staff but I kept it to myself because its mostly snide looks and impatience at my presence of being at this store for some reason. And certain people/employees feel obligated to follow me around the store even though I am know in this community and I pay for what ever items I need. Other then those instances I enjoy the convenience of shopping locally.

I have been shopping at the Kennebunk Ace Hardware for 26 years. I only recently learned of this review page.
In my 26 years of shopping at the Kennebunk Ace Hardware I have never been treated anything but fantastic. John, Diane and my pal Sid have been fantastic. Trust them. John
