Jules provided us with exceptional service and workmanship 25 years ago and offered a repeat performance this past December. We were in a bind due to a forced change in insurance carrier as the former went out of business. The new carrier gladly took our business but followed up with a cancelation notice due to a poor result from a roof inspection. They agreed to rescind the cancelation if we replaced the roof. Jules provided great advice and alternative approaches regarding some options offered by his competitors, a very competitive price and got the work completed earlier than expected. The install team did a great job, were very courteous and got the job done in one day despite the shorter amount of daylight. And my insurance carrier is happy to continue to take my money. Thank you, Jules.

They did first rate work and had even better customer service, checking back regularly after they were done to make sure that we were satisfied. We’ve had water intrusion issues ever since roof replaced by JulesPoirier Company in 2020. Jules and his Team did 3 follow up inspections, two times they attributed fault to other issues (gutters/chimney condition). Fair, we weren’t looking to pin our issues on something beyond their control. We took that advice to heart and addressed those concerns with a chimney / flashing rebuild as well as twice annual gutter cleaning and now replacement to larger gutters.

When the water intrusion issue continued Jules’ team this time pointed blame to a 2nd story window and caulked the flashing/ J channel at the roof to siding transition below the point they suspected water was entering the home.

When the water intrusion issue continued I decided to seek advice from other local companies which was an eye opening experience. Seemingly every siding to roof transition was installed incorrectly. Flashing / counter flashing done wrong. Nails through step flashing. Drip edge was also placed on top of ice and water shield (should be below). These issues now need to be addressed at an additional expense to us less than 4 years after our roof was replaced. The caulking they carelessly placed will also make the repairs more difficult. Unacceptable.

Upon raising these findings to Jules - no response at all. That’s fine, we would not want JulesPoirier Co doing any further work on our home, but the dancing around an issue of their creation is maddening.

Their pricing (in 2020) was competitive with others we received, they were not the lowest bidder nor the highest, but the quality of work is severely lacking and their customer service has been equally poor. Roof replacements are a significant expense to homeowners, we hope you take this review into consideration before contracting with JulesPoirier Company.

Additional note regarding JulesPoirier Co response : flashing and counter flashing at siding to roof transition was installed by your team, so “we can’t warranty other issues that don’t pertain to the roofing itself” is just further skirting around issues stemming from an inadequate roof installation and further evidence poor customer service. Buyer beware when it comes to JulesPoirier Co.

Jules and his crew did an excellent roof replacement, using hte best materials avaialble; They took great care in all of the details, and Jules maintained first hand supervision for the entire job. I was completely please and satisfied with the finished product, and recommend his services completely.

Jules’s and team did a great job on my replacement of 17 windows job. Worked fast and very neat. My only complaint was they used white caulk on the interior and when I tried to paint over it with my trim color the paint won’t adhere. I now have to remove all the new caulk. Very disappointed

Great service and timely repairs. As a contractor myself I know it's hard to find good help. This place I highly recommend.

About 14 years ago, we hired Jules to put a new roof on our house. We knew him because our daughters were in school together and friends. But it was the fact that I saw his signs up all over town that told me he must be good or he wouldn't have so many customers.
He explained the details of the roofing job and recommended we pick the lifetime guaranteed materials. The job went extremely well. Less than 2 years later a huge hemlock fell on our roof in a storm. The claim adjuster was from Atlanta so had never heard of things like ice dams. I used Jules' detailed contract to negotiate with the insurance company to assure the repairs would be done right and paid for.
Fast forward to this year. The vertical wood siding on the house was deteriorating, and it had been damaged in some places by woodpeckers. A knot had fallen out and a bird decided it was a great place to nest. And some of our 40+ year old original thermopane windows were blown. We hired Jules to replace the bad windows and to do vinyl siding on the house. Again, Jules had some recommendations about how to configure the windows to maximize view while still being able to open them for fresh air. I went with a 5" clapboard siding that wasn't custom priced but did take extra time to get, and he was upfront that he was ordering just what he thought we needed--he was 7 panels short! We used up the additional order by also siding our shed to match. During the process, he talked me out of installing new gutter guards--my experience with what we had was not great, and Jules said the newer technology was no better. "Save the money and hire someone once a year to clean out the gutters."
His workers are fantastic and took care not to damage the plantings around the house. When the job was done there was very little sign they had been there since they cleaned up so well. I love my new windows and I love my new siding--like getting a new house at least from the outside. I highly recommend you consider Jules Poirier for a new roof, siding, windows and any other service he offers.
