- They worked directly with my insurance company to save me that headache and stress.
- John and his crews are thorough, professional, and friendly and do top-quality work.
- I cannot recommend JS Construction enough! Thank you for giving us a great basement!
- They arrived on time, completed a lengthy list of jobs in a short time, and left my house cleaner than they found it.
- I was promised so many different things that were never done.
- They cut corners everywhere, and even asked me for $20 and to 'not tell the boss' after they broke a valve.
- The original JS estimator looked at the attic and told me he was pretty sure there was mold, BUT advised since mold was not his area of expertise, not to quote him.

We used JS Construction for a total home repair from a hail storm last year. John was great and delivered on all the recommended repairs. We had the roof, gutters, windows, garage doors, and paint all completed. They were great from the beginning to the completion of the project. It was also comforting knowing they had a partnership with USAA. We would totally recommend JS Construction for all home repairs!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with JS Construction on multiple projects, and they’ve consistently exceeded my expectations. Whether it’s a small renovation or a larger build, JS Construction brings the same level of care and expertise. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and talented construction team!

I used JS construction for repairs caused by water damage in my attic, because they were recommended by USAA. The original JS estimator looked at the attic and told me he was pretty sure there was mold, BUT advised since mold was not his area of expertise, not to quote him. I also had a water mediation company (recommended by USAA) do the attic dry-out before JS started their work. Both companies assured me that everything was “all clear” before completing their work. My wife and I moved into a hotel for weeks to allow JS Construction to proceed with the repairs in the house after the water mediation company left. Once the majority of the work was done and I moved back in. After a day or two, I noticed a smell in the house, which I reported to JS. I was told by the JS Construction project manager,(PM) that if I added additional vents to the roof, the smell would go away. I agreed that I would pay for this work out of pocket and two more vents were added. Needless to say, the smell did NOT go away with the extra vents. I then reached out to the water mediation company and reported the musty/mildew smell. I was advised by them that they were waiting on JS Construction to let them know the work they would be doing so that they could provide a mold scope on what was not removed during construction. Needless to say neither company let me know that there was still mold in my attic, which at this point was causing a horrible odor in my house.
I know that JS knew there was mold in the attic, because their original estimate “contained repairs recommended due to mold” (direct quote from my insurance adjustor) and they moved forward with repairs, including blowing insulation in the attic where the mold is. Although JS Construction was not responsible for water or mold remediation, they had a moral obligation to let me know that the mold was still there.
Finally, once the remaining work was completed the JS project manager came over to get my endorsement on the final check. After reviewing the detail supplemental for the final work, I found line items that were NOT done by JS. One specific item was painting that I had done myself! I told the PM that, that item needed to be removed. He came up with a proposal to credit the item, along with a couple of other small items damage/lost during construction, to the out-of-pocket work they (JS) were going to do. Needless to say, after receiving my endorsement I did not hear back from the PM. I reached out to him to just refund me the credit, since I had not heard back from him. He told me he would speak to accounting about getting me the reimbursement. Again, time went by with no word from him so I reached out again. I was told that the owner was surprised that I was requesting a reimbursement. Since the credit was his idea, which was why I even endorsed the check, I told him I was surprised that the owner was surprised. Needless to say, the company has still not reimbursed me.
I am very disappointed with this company and would NOT recommended them.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
