We were pleased to contract our roof replacement with Jarod. He was patient and professional, taking the time to answer questions and explain products. He even gave us a list of addresses to see his work, and various roof colors, in order to help with our decision. His crew came in and got the job done in a day. Jarod & his crew just did our homes roof (strip down 2 layers & replace + replacing 2 skylights. Done fast professionally with good materials at a fair price. Can't believe it was done in a day considering almost 90° temp and humidity GREAT JOB! GREAT CLEAN UP.

Jarod and his crew were excellent to work with. The whole crew was prompt and completed the roof in one day. That included clean-up. They covered our deck and used a magnetic collector afterwards to make sure that there were no nails left over.

We were very impressed with the service we received from JS and R Roofing when they installed our new roof. Once we agreed on what we wanted, the job was scheduled within the week and they completed the work in two days. The team worked long and hard on the first day to make sure the main roof of our three-story Victorian was buttoned up before the snow storm that came the next day. They protected our siding and windows and cleaned up after themselves, which isn't any easy task here on our windy hill. We recommend the JS and R team to anyone needing work done. The crew at JS and R were very good. They got right to work, had the roof stripped in no time, took off the useless dishes, and also took down an unnecessary chimney. They started putting the new roof on just after noon and had it completed in just over a day. They also did a good job cleaning up everything. Thanks! and the roof looks great!!

Jarod was very professional in his presentation and in arranging the new roof. As far as I can tell, the crew did a good job. They certainly worked hard. They forgot to put the leaf guards back on the gutters, but Jarod came back and finished the job. Highly recommended.

I am pleased with my new roof. I hired Jarod and his crew to completely install a new roof. The crew was excellent and worked efficiently. The job was done in one day. I especially liked being provided a list of houses to look at so I could accurately select a shingle color for my house rather than pick from the tiny swatch, as well as the list of references.

They replaced our existing roof on our E. Lyme home. They arrrived when they said they would and completed the job in the time (2 days) that they promised. Jarod's crew was hardworking and did an excellent job overall including clean up -- no loose nails left behind for our dog to step on.

We hired JS and R Roofing this past fall to replace our roof. The workers were not only professional but extremely friendly. Jarod was great and very easy to work with and contact. The quality of work is just excellent, and BONUS... the price beat any other quote we received! We read through a couple of negative reviews (looks like there's only two), and decided to go with what all of the positive reviews said and we are very happy that we did. We would highly recommend this company to anyone.

UPDATE: respond to Mr. Renfree response: Not looking for free anything, just want what I paid for, home is 1986-not 70's implied, I can prove everything & truth is not slander. I wanted you to come back & fix what your employees messed up. My stack didn't leak until after your employees did not re-install items properly. My bump-out roof is literally coming up because it was not installed properly. I wanted you to fix what your employees did improperly (which voided my warrantee/I have photos).You drilled a 3" bolt into the side of my house to keep my gutter from falling down because YOUR employees lost the parts that hold the gutter up along with your using tape, so you will not call me a liar. As the owner, you should want to fix what your employees did wrong, not blame the home owner. I'm not trying to hurt anyone, just stating facts. All I've asked was for you to make it right...you ignored several agencies which is why I took you to court, but I also let you know I did not want to take you to court. I lost because I did not have the failed inspection report, not because "I lied". You told me at Olde Tymes parking lot you would help me then changed your mind stating, "oh, you're the one who tried to sue me, I'm not getting on your roof, have a nice day". I'm from a generation where you do it right the first time, your ad states the same, & yet...you throw blame on me...in my opinion...Never use J.S. AND R. LLC! I'm not one to talk about stuff like this because I don't like conflict, but I've done EVERYTHING to get this contractor to make it right only to be ignored. Last ditch effort, I sent a certified letter with the copy of the failed inspection report from the city where I live and the timeline of work done to my property only to still be dismissed and ignored... EVEN WITH A FAILED INSPECTION REPORT! 4 years later & still fighting to get him to make it right. Contacting local news for help because no one else has. 1st mistake was trusting him and 2nd was hiring him. My warranty is void because they did not install roofing materials properly. He will say that he went to court and he won. He won because I did not have the failed inspection report at the time we had gone to court. I was extremely trusting, naive, and learned a painful lesson the hard way! All I've ever wanted was this contractor to come out and fix what the city requires him to fix per the failed inspection report, and I am still being ignored (as well as the city permit department who have not heard back from him either). This contractor pulled my roofing permit AFTER doing the job and the only reason why he pulled my permit three plus years after doing the job, was due to my filing for small claims court. I filed for court, had a court date, he filed a continuance, and then obtained the permit to do my roof, (which he had already done three plus years ago). I have all the documents to back up everything that I have said, including text messages. This contractor has blamed everybody from the contractors prior to his being hired to my son's messing with pipe (sons are over the age of 25) when it is just his employees poor workmanship. His employees, at the time, were very nice, but that's the only nice thing about this company. I rescinded my original review. Lastly, I can back up everything in this review. I love that this contractor is willing to talk to strangers about my failed roof installation on another review platform, however, he will not take the time to contact me and fix the problem his workers caused. I'm not sure how to post pictures on here, but if I find a way, I will post those pictures.

p.s. he also installed a 3" bolt into the side of my house to hold my gutter up because his employees lost parts to my gutters and he taped my gutter where the bracket goes. The gutter was installed at a slight pitch which is, per the report, causing water damage. I WILL RESCIND THIS REVIEW WHEN JS&R LLC COMES TO MY HOME AND CORRECTS ALL ITEMS ON THE CITY'S FAILED INSPECTION REPORT. Until then...buyer beware. *maybe now he will contact me?

JS&R did my house roof so I contacted him to do my Garage. The work was excellent but the owner has personal issues. When he came to get paid for completion I asked to show him a little issue just to get documented. He wouldn't even give me 5 minutes without interrupting me. He told me he has personal issues and I told him that I don't care about his issues and I wanted to discuss the roof. He refused to listen. He stated that I don't care if his daughter is in the hospital. I said I didn't care about his personal issues. Jarod got real angry and he and I had big words. I had to tell him to get the F--- out of here. His people do good work but he is no business man. He has mental issues.

Being a first-time home owner and knowing the roof needs to be done with a little daunting but after several quotes we decided to go with JS and R our roofing and it was the right decision .The crew got it done in one day . made our first renovation painless The pricing the quality professionalism I would highly recommend them!!

About four years ago, we had a new roof constructed, and we were so pleased with the work and service from JS & R Roofing that we called Jarod when my daughter's attic started to develop mold. The very next day, he arrived, evaluated the issue, and provided my daughter with a figure that was thousands of dollars less than the initial estimate she had been given. Not only did he replace the roof, but his team also replaced the mold-infected plywood. When they were done, the roof was flawless and there was no sign of mold. Without a doubt, we would recommend this business.

I couldn't be more thrilled. My first home purchase and they left not only my roof but my yard spotless. This was a big deal since we have kids and 2 dogs.

On a side note, I saw a negative comment on here from a Mr. Nelson and I have to say this could not be farther from the truth. Jared's guys were professional, friendly and most importantly on time and ahead of scheudle.

This review is overdue, but with the recent storms I wanted to share how well our new roof and skylights have held up! No damage at all. The Skylights and surrounding areas are nice and dry. They were leaking before we had it all redone by JS and R and it was always awful when it rained. The new roof and skylights were all done in 1 day, cleanup and all. Jarod was easy to work with and very responsive. He was great at explaining the process and products. Price was beyond fair. Would highly recommend.

The job was done well, speedy, and the estimate was spot-on and reasonable. The chimley led was is done very well and clean looking. In my case, I think a wider drip edge would have been better but the water and ice is on so I'm not too worried. Excellent service and professional installation

I would highly recommend JS and R Roofing LLC. Jarod and his team were very professional. They showed up when they said they would completing our roof in a day and a half. They left our place very clean using a magnet roller to make sure there weren’t any nails left behind. After receiving other quotes from other roofing companies we decided to go with Jarod because of his honest personality and fair quote. He was available at all times for any questions or concerns explaining everything in advance for what he was doing. We also had two skylights replaced by him.

We had Jarod and his team install a new roof on our house recently and I cannot say enough good things about the service we received. They arrived at our house in the morning and by the time we got home from work you could not even tell they were there. The roof looked great and absolutely no mess left. I have flower gardens surrounding my whole house and I have to say I was a little worried about them getting ruined by all the work and old shingles being stripped from the roof but by my surprise when I arrived home everything was left perfect!!
