Jim was friendly, explained things thoroughly and did the work without adding extras! Highly recommend Jim and Tony for roofing issues.

They came out and tacked a piece of Hardie board back up for me. It was a small job but they did it anyway. They were responsive, prompt, friendly, and reasonably priced. If I have bigger project someday I would not hesitate to use them again. Very pleased!

We were very pleased with the home improvement project that McCarters did for us. They replaced rotted wood on our overhang soffits, then painted the soffits as well as other areas of the house that needed painting. Every member of their crew was hard working and went out of their way to make sure that we were going to be happy with the result. When I got confused about a color scheme, they were very understanding, patient and helped me reach the right decision. They were fast and efficient, but did a great job. I would recommend McCarters to anyone needing this kind of service.

I needed a small roof repair. From my very first contact/phone call they were very professional. They were prompt, very clear in providing pricing, and did a good job. The price was extremely fair/reasonable.

We had McCarter construction involved in repairs of our outside siding, which required a rebuild of a turrets on the front and back of our house and fascia boards. Marc and Q did an outstanding job and were highly communicative throughout the process. Their worksmanship was of the highest quality and we love the James Hardie product they installed. I would highly recommend them for any future projects or repairs.

The process with JMC was professional from first contact through the completion of the project. The communication was clear, the price quoted was what was delivered, and the crew showed up when it was said they’d show up, they came the same time every day, kept the job site in great shape, and delivered a finished product that exceeded our expectations.

As to the scope: we changed from white vinyl to boothbay blue Hardie plank. We also had the porch ceilings replaced with Hardie (we will not miss the rattling aluminum,) and garage door and foundation painted. We highly recommend John McCsrter Construction.

I am so happy with my home after John McCarter Construction re-sided with Iron Gray James Hardie siding with Artic White trim. It looks like a completely different house. My review covers two repairs. Jim came out and inspected a leak that was causing a stain on our bedroom ceiling. He was able to quickly identify the root cause and fix it for good (it had been "fixed" about 7 years ago by another company). While inspecting the repair, he noted excessive heat in my attic due to improper ventilation. Jim and Maue came back to resolve our ridge vent issue and we have already noticed a temperature difference in our second floor. Many thanks to the team over at McCarter Construction. This was not our first home repair with them and we will continue to use their services in coming years.

I had a small siding repair job that most companies wouldn’t even come look at because it wasn’t a big enough job. I called McCarter Construction and they said they could help. They called to let me know when they could come and Jim came out today and was great. Fixed the missing piece at the peak of my roof and even cleaned off a spot on the siding that I couldn’t reach. Professional, courteous and reasonable rate. Highly recommended.

The workers on this project were very respectful and overall did a good job. The quality of the workmanship was a little sloppy at times but the crew leader worked with them to correct it. Whatever we asked them to do, they did it. They left some materials in different places on our property and I had to move them out of my way. The project manager was also very respectful and responsive and came back several times to do a finer clean up and ensure all the trades completed their work on time. He was proactive and informed us when the trades were coming. We appreciate all the attention to detail on our concerns.

It is rare to find a company to work on your home that is as expert and conscientious as Mc Carter Construction. They kept us informed every step of the way. (And during this project we were not even in town!). From our initial meeting with Paul we knew we had chosen the right company to tackle this project of replacing rotten wood on our home’s elevation with Hardy board and creating a tongue and groove porch ceiling. We highly recommend McCarter Construction!

We had McCarter out to replace a rotting bay window and some water damaged siding. The new siding looks perfect and they flashed the appropriate areas to keep the water damage from happening again. Ivan and Terry did an excellent job and on the siding and Harold color matched the new stain perfectly. The project took slightly longer than we expected but John and the crew kept us up to date the entire time and alerted us any time there was any issue with the project. We will definitely be working with McCarter for our next project.

A representative from this company visited our home when we were away. We got notification on our phones that someone was there and so we watched as this individual walked around our entire house without permission. This was obviously very upsetting and after finding out who it was from their t-shirt logo we left a message at their offices requesting an immediate call back. We never heard anything back.

Trespassing on someone's property is unacceptable, unprofessional and therefore I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. If they cared about their reputation they should have called us to discuss and explain if there was an explanation!

We needed our aluminum siding repaired on the house. Moe and Tony arrived on time and quickly made the necessary repairs. Both were very polite and attentive to our needs.We recommend hiring their services for outside house maintenance.

Most construction companies are only interested in quoting big jobs. McCarter didn't hesitate to quote and perform a very small repair, and they did a good job. They didn't know we had a big job coming up. Since they didn't hesitate to do the small repair, we are now going to have them quote the big job.

Andrew, Eric and Clay did a bang up job on our home siding and trim replacement. They arrived on time, were professional courteous, friendly and showed genuine concern about doing a thorough and careful job. Andrew showed meticulous attention to detail and did several walk-arounds and re-inspections to make sure no spots were missed and that everything was executed to his standards. He also had me walk around the house with him at several different points to make sure I approved of the work and to address any additional concerns. Andrew also went above and beyond and caulked and repaired a gap in the aluminum siding along a basement window that was a egress point for wasps and hornets. Overall, awesome job. Andrew and Eric were out to my house today completing regular maintenance work. It had been a long time since I had someone inspect all of the caulking around my home Such as soffits, windows, etc. i wasn’t sure if they did smaller projects like this—i called and spoke to Kevin. I was on the schedule pretty quickly and I’m happy to say Andrew and Eric were out today and completed everything within a few hours. Whether you need a large project or small, give them a call. They did a very thorough and complete review and caulked everywhere necessary. Great piece of mind.

I have hired John McCarter Construction for several projects after seeing the work they did for my next door neighbor. They’ve completed deck work, James Hardie siding, miscellaneous handyman projects and whole-house exterior painting. He and his crews are very friendly and professional. There are no surprises. The work is very high quality and they’re careful not to damage any plant material. My original siding was replaced with Hardie siding and painted with Sherwin Williams Duration paint and it’s still looking good ten years later.
