TERRIBLE COMPANY! These jerks took advantage of my elderly parents. Forced them into a contract they didn’t want to sign due to an insurance claim, they lied and all but threatened them so they’d use them!!….then did terrible work and made promises they didn’t keep! We won’t even have them back for their warranty items and have to pay out of pocket to fix their mistakes!
Stay away at all costs!!
Using this company has been an absolute nightmare from beginning to end! If you value your home, your time and your sanity I cannot recommend enough that you absolutely do NOT use this company! I seriously cannot believe they are even in business. They are completely unprofessional and do terrible, sloppy, subpar work. They have absolutely no attention to detail and have messed up every single thing they have done to my home, in addition to causing additional damage to my home including; gouges to my walls, scratches to my bathtub, broke my towel rod, chipped my tile, mortar and drywall plaster poured out on my front porch, pavers, yard decor and decorative rocks in my yard, broke my pantry, removed my window screen and bent it and then left it on the bushes in my front yard to run their power cord, and chipped my furniture in several places.Their drywall work, and painting are abysmal! Their painters missed several places and also got paint all over the new tile floors and hardwood. The drywall texture they applied was no where close to the existing texture. They did not wipe off the baseboards from the construction dust before caulking them so the caulking immediately began peeling off the same day. Their hardwood flooring people are horrible! They did not pattern the wood they laid, left holes/gaps and gouges in the flooring around the doorframes, installed split pieces of new hardwood and had green wood glue coming through between the boards. Worse yet, they did not put two coats of shiny oil-based polyurethane on the hardwood, as agreed to numerous times both orally and in writing. Instead, they took it upon themselves to use a matte water-based sealer that is not water resistant or scratch resistant and it looks dull and unfinished. Now everything has to be moved out of my house and the floors redone a second time. Due to their incompetence, I have also endured diminished value to my home due to having my hardwood floors sanded 2 additional times. Then they had the nerve to tell me I should pack and move the boxes myself and they would only move the furniture the second go round, despite this being 100% their fault and causing me huge inconvenience and costing me several more days of my time. They told me that I should pack the boxes myself knowing I had neck surgery 2 weeks prior. They could not even install a sink vanity or a countertop straight. After 2 failed attempts, I had someone else finally do it instead. They installed the wrong tile in one of the bathrooms and made me pay a different contractor to rip it up and reinstall the correct tile. I was told "it is not their job to ask questions" as to which tile was supposed to be used there. Their bathroom remodeler also put nothing down to protect the new hardwood floors and left mortar stains on them. Their "final clean" was an absolute joke! They left thick layers of dust, chunks of remodel debris all over the bathrooms, wax from the wax toilet ring stuck to the shower floor, and I kid you not, dead flies! I literally had to spend 3 hours cleaning the bathrooms myself after they left. When you bring issues to their attention to are met with completely unprofessional, rude, defensive attitude and denials if they bother to respond. I have completely remodeled 4 homes in the last 8 years and have never had a single issue like this with a contractor, yet alone had problems like this with absolutely every single thing done. I used this company as they were on my insurance's preferred contractor list after my home flooded in February and it was a huge mistake. Note, the majority of these photos ARE what this company thinks is acceptable, finished work, despite the owner's reply to my review. This was their completed painting, drywall and final clean ect. I had to finish the painting and cleaning myself. It is ridiculous to act like they are being generous to redo what they messed up without charging extra! Also, they addressed absolutely no additional items that were not their responsibility. Please stay away from this horrible company!
We hired JBC on our HOA's recommendation to repair some structural damage in our townhome. Jim and Sky were thorough, communicated more often than most contractors I've worked with, and their estimates were clear. Make sure you understand what you're getting any why, and expect to pay more for their time to schedule and manage all the contractors, but work quality is top-notch and we're thankful to have a fully repaired unit that's ready for its next owner!
