I needed simple repairs to seal leaking gutter corners as well as repitching a section of improperly installed gutter. Cody and his assistant were mindful to not damage our landscaping. Cody also notified me of all schedule changes. Finally, and not expected, their truck has an oil leak. They placed a cardboard sheet to catch oil drops on our concrete driveway. I called Jerry Newman for a bid on replacing a large flat roof on an addition to our house. Kevin came out as scheduled and gave me an overview. Sam then sent a quote that was 25% lower than 3 bids I had previously received.

The lower price was not the determining factor, however. My decision was based on Kevin's knowledge and experience as opposed to the salesmen from the other companies. Kevin has extensive experience and training and explains everything clearly.

They did a great job on the roof and cleaned up completely daily. Much of the wood inside the room was rotted and needed to be replaced. The company went over and above to find wood of the same species, profile and type matching everything that didn't need replacing. I only had one minor concern when the job was finished and the company corrected it promptly. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing a quality roof replacement.

Sam walked me through every step of the process and Kevin explained exactly what needed to be done on the section of my flat roof that needed to be replaced. When Kevin was complete he cleaned up all of the debris from the tear off. I have been using this company for years. They replaced a roof on another house of mine 10 years ago. We are very pleased with our roof replacement. We have a large roof with a steep pitch, gables, and dormers, but they handled it well and very quick. Our roof never went unprotected after shingles were removed. They left our yard cleaner then when it started. They were quick to respond from initial contact and extremely quick in replacing our roof once we approved the contract.

Dan and Eric on two separate occasions assessed and repaired our roof issues. Both times, they responded in a very timely manner and were on time once a date was set. And most importantly, once they were here they were very, very thorough in their work. We were both impressed with their time spent and quality of work. Very professional company! They responded within an hour of me leaving a voicemail, and Sam was here in 3 days to look at the problem. Someone showed up the next day and did a very thorough job repairing the flashing boots around the plumbing vents. We will see during the next rain if there are any more leaks in the ceiling. But as of now, we are very pleased with the follow-up to our phone call, and the professionalism of the work.

The entire siding repair job, from estimate to completion and cleanup, was handled in a personable and professional manner. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Also, when Steve was here working, he got stung by a wasp on his eyelid. Most people would have gone home, but he stayed to finish the job. Now that is commitment. Great job all around!

We have used Jerry Newman Roofing twice, and we'll continue to use them because of their amazing products, commitment to service, and most importantly, their honesty! A few years ago, we had a small leak coming through our ceiling. I called one company, and they wanted to tear a whole section of our roof off. I got a second opinion from Jerry Newman Roofing, and the technician said that he might need to peel back the roof at some point in time, but that he'd like to try a simpler and cheaper solution first. He thought that maybe there was a leak in the PVC exhaust on the roof so that when it would rain, it would come through just a bit at the bend. He installed a cap on the top of the pipe for around $80, and my problem has been fixed for over 2 years and going. He could have torn off part of the roof and made a lot of money, but he didn't. He was honest and full of integrity and ingenuity as well.

Last year, we decided to get gutter guards. We got quotes from 3 companies. One company was terribly dishonest, and they kept lowering the price by the thousands of dollars if I made my decision RIGHT NOW. Another company was fine, but I didn't care for their explanations. Something seemed to be not quite right. Because of our wonderful experience with Jerry Newman Roofing, we got a quote from them. They were upfront with all of the costs, offered a quote in a timely manner, and completed the work exactly as we discussed. We were completely satisfied with the workmanship, and I'm happy to say I haven't climbed onto my roof for a year now. I'm so thankful we found Jerry Newman Roofing, and we'll continue to use them due to their professionalism, quality of work, and integrity.

Sam responded quickly to our problem of a wind-lifted shingle. Repair was done well, with no hassle. And they did an inspection of the roof to make sure there were no other issues. Will definitely recommend and use them again, if needed.

I had a small repair job needed after wind did some damage to our roof. Most companies will not give you the time of day on these small repairs but they came out in a timely manor, did a great job on the repairs, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Great experience from beginning to end.

Jerry Newman Roofing and Remodeling Inc did a fantastic job on my mom’s new roof. From the first call we made to the company through the installation and clean up, everything went smoothly. Our sales representative, Dan, was very professional, extremely responsive to all of our questions and listened to what my mom wanted. We had first contacted another company that insisted on submitting a request to our insurance company to also replace the siding on her house (despite my mom stating she did not need nor want that) and as a result delayed her project by a season because by the time the insurance responded and denied the added work (and rightfully so), it was too late to begin her project (which ended up being a blessing in disguise). When we then contacted Jerry Newman Roofing, they respected that we only wanted to do the roof and they actually submitted extra documentation of issues with the roof resulting in the insurance company issuing more funds towards the roof replacement than the other company had secured. On the day of the installation, the workers showed up on time, were very courteous and hard-working and left the job site just as it was when they arrived. I had wind damage in March 2021 to my roof. I contacted 5 companies. Out of the 5 Jerry Newman Roofing was the only one that replied in a timely manner. They followed through on everything they committed to and even moved up the repair timeframe to get the job done before a rainy weekend was coming. I would highly recommend them!

We received 4 bids for our equestrian stable roofing project. Jerry Newman Roofing was first to come out, first to bid and we were impressed with Sam, or first contact there, but we always get 3 bids.
Only one other company came close to consideration based on price and professionalism. We ultimately went with JNR because they were quicker at responding, and have a great reputation.We couldn't be happier with our choice. Our project was done in one day (11 continuous hours) and that wasn't easy as we had skylights, and multiple plywood boards that needed to be replaced due to water damage and extra flashing and ice and water shield installed. Their installation crew was awesome! I highly recommend this company.

We contracted Jerry Newman Roofing to install a new roof and fix an original design flaw in our roof drainage system. We had two other estimates and Mr. Newman was the most gracious of the three contractors.

Newman Roofing is the most professional roofing company I have ever used. One of their employees Steve came over yesterday and moved my dryer vent and covered up the existing hole. He was very personable and took his time to do a quality job. He answered every question I had and I am very pleased with his and Newman's service.

What made this company stand out is their communication. From the initial onset of the project to final completion. They were very responsive through email and phone contact through each phase of the project. The crew called several days before arriving and the day of the project to inform me exactly the time they would start. They provided excellent work and cleaned up when finished. Had a roof leak in newer home. Jerry came out and inspected. Found that ridge vent shingles were not wide enough and water was seeping in. Highly recommend. Last of the honest trades. also noticed my chimney needed some tuck pointing before it became a real issue. Great service

Jerry Newman replaced my roof 10 yrs ago. I contacted them this week with what I thought might be an issue in a small area. Sam responded in less than 24 hrs and within 48 hrs, Dan was at my house doing a thorough inspection, both outside and from inside the attic. Thankfully, there is no issue with the roofing, and Dan took the time to explain conditions and ventilation information. I'm very impressed and pleased with their responsiveness, attention to detail, and overall customer care. A good contractor experience is so hard to find these days, but Jerry Newman is highly recommended.

He did all the repairs on my shake shingle roof and was reliable, did a good job and was honest. Extended the life on my roof and replaced what was necessary.

Jerry did a roof for my parents several years ago. I had him out to give me an estimate on my home. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Jerry Newman has installed a new roof, two flat roofs, an attic fan and gutters on my home in South Barrington. Because of the amount of work I needed I obtained estimates from numerous vendors. Of all the contractors that came to my home Sam Grana at Jerry Newman took the most time in explaining roof vent issues, etc. so that I could understand and make an educated decision. Their quotes were also the most competitive. We are very pleased with the work that was done and the follow up. I recommend them without hesitation.

Cannot recommend Jerry Newman enough. You have to be extremely careful with roofers because a lot of them show up like locusts after a hail storm. I got screwed by one of these companies.

But then I had Jerry Newman come out and redo our cedar shake roof and have been extremely pleased with the work. Not only did they get the job done right the first time (no leaks or follow-up repairs after the new roof) but they did a phenomenal job of clean-up. With cedar shake, you're dealing with nails galore and I haven't found any in or around our house since they did the work.

Very, very highly recommended.

A storm chaser told me I had hail damage and said that I would qualify for a new roof. I didn't want to use them since they were not local. Called newman's and scheduled for them to be there the same time as my insurance adjuster, over the phone "ok, see you then". They didn't show. So glad I chose to support a local business *he said sarcastically*.

Been dealing with Dan at this company since 2012. We moved into our house in 2011 and noticed after our first winter in our new home that shingles were missing. Called and asked for someone to come out and give us a quote for a new roof. Dan went up on the roof and stated that our roof still had a few years and offered to replace the missing shingles. We did this for the next few years and finally this year decided to replace the roof. Got an estimate which was comparable to other companies I called. Warranty was better than others though. They also know that we have wind problems and Dan assured me that if we have any problems to give him a call. Honest, dependable and showed when he said they would. After job was done they checked my yard for nails multiple times. Yard was so clean you never would have known they were there.

Asked the company out for estimate for a small job. Company was slow to come out and after they did come out no one followed up with me. Only after I reached out to company did they tell me they are too busy to do my job. All I wanted was a written estimate, not even 100% sure I wanted the work, all requests have gone unanswered.
